Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Oh that's so sad. Jesse lives in Tennessee and, while he was in Louisiana, they were getting some snow and icing in Tennessee. When he left our house, we made him put blankets, water, a flashlight and snacks in his car. He probably thought I was nutso for making him do it but I wanted him to be prepared just in case he got stuck somewhere.

Lisa - you were absolutely right to make him take those things. The only other thing I would suggest is a little candle you can light and keep on your dashboard. It's honestly surprising how much one little candle can keep a car significantly warmer. Of course, be sure to take all the proper fire precautions (have a little glass holder, don't fall asleep with flame on, etc.).

On to brighter things - when's our next update coming? :goodvibes

Thanks! everyone!:cutie:...please don't forget to vote for him daily...as of last night he needed about 150 more to catch up....if we can get votes anywhere I know the dis can pull together!:thumbsup2

I voted again today Connie!

I have never thought about the candle. I'm going to tell Lacey to give that info. to Jesse.

I am writing an installment right now!

Now that we had had a "down" day, we were all ready for another park day. Today we were going to tour Epcot again and having dinner at LeCellier. We hadn't been to LeCellier in several years and were looking forward to it again.

I called Mama when we woke up and made sure that she was still feeling up to going to Epcot. Her voice sounded a little better and she said she felt like going. :yay:

The sky was a pretty blue and the sun was shining as we walked across the parking lot to the bus station. When we got there, there was no one at the bus stop. We looked up and saw the skywriter. I tried taking pictures:

100_3682.jpg

100_3683.jpg

I can't remember exactly what time it was when we got to the bus stop but I do remember that we didn't make rope drop that day. But, we didn't miss it by much either. The Epcot bus pulled up after just a few minutes and we were all, again, able to get a seat. So far, Mama had not had to stand on the bus once! :dance3: As I've said before, that had been one of our concerns.

Because the CBR is so close to Epcot, it took us just 10 minutes to arrive at the park. I love that! Mama and I had to go through bag check while Hunter and John walked through the side gate and met us on the other side.

Here I am putting our park tickets into my handy dandy Vera Bradley card holder. Have I mentioned how much I love the card holder? It's the perfect size for holding our tickets and my "folding" money (dollars).

100_3684.jpg

I had to take a pictures of the big golf ball:

100_3685.jpg

John and I did the "stretch your arm as far out as you can and take a picture of the two of us" picture:

100_3686.jpg

What were Mama and Hunter doing while I was taking pictures? People watching:

100_3687.jpg

Well, since they were sitting down, I may as well take a few more pictures:

100_3688.jpg

I made Hunter pose for me in this one:

100_3689.jpg

One more as we got closer:

100_3690.jpg

Mama was still looking for some kind of peppermint or other mint so we stopped in the store on the right hand side of Spaceship Earth to see if they had any. This is where John got his first phone call of the day:

100_3691.jpg

This phone call was from a customer we had done work before so he had to take it and I didn't fuss. When you have a repeat customer, you like to keep 'em happy.

Mama found a little tin of mints and bought those to see if they would help her throat. It wasn't really sore but she said it would get dry and scratchy and she wanted the mints so that she could keep her mouth from being so dry. By the time she had made her purchase, John was off the phone and we were ready for the first attraction of the day.

Since the wait time for Spaceship Earth was short, that's where we went first:

100_3692.jpg

100_3693.jpg

100_3694.jpg

Mama was a champ and was able to get right into the ride vehicle without any bobbles. John sat with Mama and Hunter and I sat together just like the visit before. I kept fiddling with the settings on my camera so I could try and get some decent pictures:

Look really closely at the top right hand corner of the paper in this picture. You can see the hidden Mickey:

Every time I see this section of Spaceship Earth, I think of how, when my Mama started working for a wholesale drug company eons ago, they actually still had the old timey switchboards where you plugged in and pulled out the wires to answer and put through calls. The company owner had money out the waaaaazoooo but he didn't want to spend it to upgrade the phones. They had that switchboard for many years:

100_3714.jpg

100_3715.jpg

I tried taking pictures of our screens but they ddin't turn out well. I had Hunter try their screen too:

Since Mama and Hunter hadn't seen World Showcase this trip, we wanted to go there next. For those of you who read my previous trip report, you may remember the picture of Hunter and Lacey jumping in front of the fountain at Spaceship Earth. I thought I'd give it a try. I am so uncoordinated and should have known better. And, I should have known better than to think that John could take a good picture. It took us forever to get a halfway decent picture:

100_3727.jpg

Hunter wanted to give it a try and, believe it or not, this was my first shot:

100_3725.jpg

I tried to talk Mama and John into giving us a little jump but they both said no way!:sad2:

We decided to go to the left and start with Mexico. We took the path that goes over the water.

100_3728.jpg

100_3733.jpg

By now, Mama knew to be on the lookout for hidden Mickeys and she found this one on the ground (I didn't have the heart to tell her these were everywhere.)

100_3731.jpg

100_3732.jpg

100_3730.jpg

100_3729.jpg

We made it over to Mexico and I snapped a picture or two before we headed into the ever so comforting air conditioned building.

Since the line for the boat ride was short, we decided to hop on. Mama did have one little bobble trying to get into the boat but we were prepared and had her steady again instantly. Ready to go on search for Donald?

100_3752.jpg

100_3754.jpg

100_3757.jpg

Donald keep eluding us but I did find a hidden Mickey:

100_3766.jpg

100_3767.jpg

Once the boat ride was over, I wanted to look in the jewelry shop and see if the glass blower was doing a demonstration. We started in the jewelry shop and, I have to admit, it took Mama and I a lot longer than John and Hunter would have liked. There were so many pretty pieces in there and Mama is an earring person. I bet she owns 100 pairs or earrings. I am not exaggerating! Now, I'm not saying the shopping was all one-sided because I was doing my fair share as well. Mama made her purchase (I showed amazing self control and didn't purchase anything in there.) and we walked over to see if the glass blower was there.

The glass blower was not there right then but that didnt' stop us from looking at all of the amazing glass items in the store:

100_3743.jpg

100_3744.jpg

100_3745.jpg

100_3747.jpg

100_3748.jpg

Oh if I were a rich woman! I found so many things in there that I wanted. Mama found a little glass rabbit and she bought it for Lacey because Lacey is always always looking at the little glass animals Mama has on her dresser in her room.

***Okay, so the clothes in the dryer should be done by now. I better go get the clothes out before they start wrinkling.

I have managed to get behind again, but just wanted to say I *love* your pictures from DTD and TRex! Last trip we didn't plan any time there, but this trip I definitely want to schedule at least 1/2 a day. And I can't wait to take the kids to TRex--I had already planned to before I saw your pics, but now I can't wait!

Marce

I love Epcot! Just seeing Spaceship Earth makes me smile.

On my daughter's second trip to WDW, she had just turned 4. We stayed at CBR and when she saw the first bus to Epcot, she tried to sound out the word and when she thought she had figured it out, she yelled "Epricot!"

We still call it that most of the time.

I love to check out the crystal and jeweled figurines. I see some that I love, but I can't bring myself to spend the money on them. I don't do much shopping when we are there so it wouldn't kill me to buy one, but what can I say? I'm pretty cheap when it comes to buying things for myself.

GREAT! jumping shots :yay:

sounds like a great start to your world showcase adventure...I don't know what it is about Mexico but I don't like the cluster feel it has, maybe if it were a little brighter (like day time in the market area and night in the resturant area--I know that is what they are already trying to portray). But, I usually want to walk quickly through, I enjoy the boat ride and I quickly leave. But, shows me right....I LOVE THOSE GLASS SLIPPERS! how cute! I want one! I will definately have to give it a looksee next time.

:wave2: Connie

I really enjoyed your pictures from DTD and CBR. You got some really good shots.

I am so glad they took the magic cards back without any problem. I have heard that Disney is really good at exchanging things - no questions asked. What a pain to have to make that extra trip.

Nice pictures inside spaceship earth - they turned out so clear.

Fun time at Epcot

See the glass window at the top of the Mexico pavilion? That's where they have all the switchboards and stuff for in case the pyrotechs and stuff got all screwy. I bought one of the glass slippers for my mother with her name on it for 17 dollars. I thought it was totally worth it even if they didn't make it there.

Lisa, This guy is funny and worth seeing if you have the time. Be prepared to participate he loves audience "help".

Yeah I can see your all of your pictures now! It looks like you got off to a great start at Epcot. Thats a great picture of Hunter jumping especially since you got it on your first try!

Thanks for the heads up on the photos! Good things come to those who wait!

So glad the pictures are back! Did you upload to another Photobucket, or just wait out the required penalty time?

We love T-Rex! The portions are truly Jurassic and you can easily split a meal there. Except for the kids meals- Ben had two order two portions of the corn doggies to satisfy him.

We printed some Rainforest Cafe/Landry coupons we found on the 'net before our trip, and our waiter, after consulting with his manager, let us use them.

EPCOT is my favorite park. So far looks like you are having a wonderful morning. GREAT pictures in Spaceship Earth! The pictures of you and Hunter jumping are really cute too. I love having the same picture trip after trip after trip.

I'm looking forward to your meal at Le Cellier!

We just got back from the World and I'm catching up. Awesome updates! Love all of the Spaceship Earth pictures. I've never taken pictures in there. Also love the jumping shots. You really got some air:thumbsup2 Those glass pieces are beautiful as well. I look forward to the day I can really browse the shops in World Showcase.

Great update.
I always love those jumping pictures. :cool1:

Not to be nit-picky, but you say you sat with John on Spaceship Earth, yet your picture shows you next to Hunter, and John & Mama together. :cutie:

Great update. I loved the skywriting picture.
I would have been sitting with Hunter & mama people watching. That is one of my favorite things to do.
You did a awesome job with the jumping pictures:thumbsup2. We tried to get a few, but they never worked.

I am always getting behind on my subscribed threads! The food at T-Rex was really good and the atomosphere is fun. This was our second time to eat there and it did not disappoint.

Epricot! I love it and will probably find myself calling it that now. Kids say the cutest things.

I couldn't make myself spend the money on any of the glass/crystal figurines either. They are so pretty though.

GREAT! jumping shots :yay:

I can see why you'd think it was too clustered inside the Mexico pavilion. I guess I just know it's going to be dark and busy so it doesn't bother me too much.

See the glass window at the top of the Mexico pavilion? That's where they have all the switchboards and stuff for in case the pyrotechs and stuff got all screwy. Oooh I love Disney trivia so thanks for the one about the glass window. Cool!

Thanks for the link! I've heard that Bob was great and I told John that we need to make time to see him when we are at Port Orleans.

I guess the pictures just came back up themselves because I didn't open a new photobucket account for those pictures.

We love T-Rex and I agree that you could split adult portions but not the kids portions.

We were having a good time that morning and I was happy that Mama was feeling better.

We just got back from the World and I'm catching up. Awesome updates! Love all of the Spaceship Earth pictures. I've never taken pictures in there. Also love the jumping shots. Welcome home! Did you start a trip report for your most recent trip?

I had to fiddle around with the settings on my camera to get the good Spaceship Earth pictures. The ones I took from our first day didn't turn out at all.

Great update.
I always love those jumping pictures. :cool1:

Not to be nit-picky, but you say you sat with John on Spaceship Earth, yet your picture shows you next to Hunter, and John & Mama together. :cutie:

You're right! I could have sworn we rode the opposite way. I guess I should have looked at my pictures better.

Great update. I loved the skywriting picture.
I would have been sitting with Hunter & mama people watching. That is one of my favorite things to do.
You did a awesome job with the jumping pictures:thumbsup2. We tried to get a few, but they never worked.

We saw the skywriter several times while we were there.

I love people watching especially at Disney.

It usually takes us a while before we get a decent jumping picture but, being the true Diser, we keep trying until I get one.

After we had seen all that the Mexico pavilion had to offer, we left and continued on around the World Showcase. I had another CD with Epcot pictures on it but when I put it in my computer, I must have done something wrong because half of the pictures are no longer there. Me and my computer illiterate self must have erased half of them.

We did stop at each and every one of the countries but most pictures were on the CD I messed up. Here are the pictures that I do have of our trip around World Showcase.

The wait for Maelstrom wasn't long so we hopped into the line and were soon spotting the hidden Mickey:

100_3768.jpg

As soon as our boat ride in Norway was over, we walked straight through the theater and out into the wonderful smelling shops. On that day, one of the perfume designers was there making a personal appearance and we were able to say hello to him. (Sorry, I forget his name.) He gave us a little strip of paper with the fragrance on it and it smelled heavenly. Before we left, I stopped to take a peak at how much the perfume was and the cost was way out of my price range. :scared1:

By the time we made it around to the America pavilion, we were ready for some lunch. The Liberty Inn has simple American fare which is what we were looking for. Before going in, we saw the drum and fife performers coming through and we stopped to listen them for a few minutes.

100_3769.jpg

I forgot what we ordered for lunch but I remember it being basic foods that, while not outstanding, wasn't bad either. We made sure that we saved some room for our dinner at LeCeller.

Before coming on our trek around World Showcase, I asked if anyone would like to see the American Adventure and they did. We walked into the building and a show had just started so we had a bit of a wait. Hunter was itching to get over to Japan and see what kind of action figures were there. After a bit, he asked if he and I could skip the American Adventure and go to Japan. I asked Mama and John if they minded if we went on ahead and they said no. Mama kept saying that we could all leave but John said he thought she'd like the show so they stayed.

Hunter and I headed out toward Japan. Before going into the store, we wanted to explore the gardens and take some pictures:

100_3770.jpg

100_3772.jpg

100_3773.jpg

100_3774.jpg

100_3775.jpg

As we came down the steps from the gardens, we saw John and Mama. They had decided to skip American Adventure and come find us in Japan. About that time, the drummers were coming out to do a performance so we sat down and watched them for a little while.

100_3778.jpg

Ya'll know me, I can't sit still for very long and I got up to take more pictures. I walked up the steps in the little garden and found a Mama duck and her babies:

100_3781.jpg

100_3782.jpg

100_3785.jpg

I made my way back to the others just in time to see the storyteller outside the building:

100_3780.jpg

While we enjoyed the storyteller, she was, in no way, as entertaining as the candy lady. I soooo wish they would bring her back. From what I understand, they no longer let her make her candy creations because of health regulations. :guilty:

Hunter was ready to hit the store and see what he could find. I was ready to do the pick-a-pearl. While Hunter was checking out the actions figures, trading cards, etc., I took a picture or two:
