Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Hey!

Going back a bit:

I am sorry that your family lost your BIL. I will keep you guys in my thoughts & prayers.

I was cracking up at all your captions for your Star Wars characters! I know what it's like to be on the outside of all that, but it's been so long that I'd forgotten! When we're there I always think it would be fun to walk around in costume..........:cool1:

I would have been antsy too in the Indiana Jones show! I'm glad you finally found Boba's Bounty and got to meet some famous Star Wars people.

I just noticed your blog link and will check it out soon! :goodvibes

Hey Angie, I am constantly in "catching up again" mode lately.

We did have a good time at Hollywood Studios and the good times continued the rest of the day and evening.

The little boy was crying and I knew I had to do something. I can only imagine how he and his mother felt.

I hope you'll come join the blog. I haven't gotten too much stuff posted yet but my goal is to have something posted every day.

Thank you for the prayers. My sister and her girls are doing better than expected.

I didn't have a doggone clue who any of the Star Wars people were so I had a little trouble coming up with some way to describe them in my report.

Come on over to the blog. It's brand new and I'm having to learn how to post but I hope to get more posted on it soon.

Lisa- I'm finally caught up & I am also following your blog. It sounds like your DHS day was nearly perfect!! I have to agree with you- I LOVE that Peter Pan painting, too. :)

Isn't the Peter Pan painting gorgeous! I just wish I had the moolah to buy it!

John sounds a lot like my DH falling asleep anytime he gets to sit still

I don't see how they do it. They fall asleep in like .0002 seconds and can wake up as fresh as a daisy.

I find lost kids quite a bit. I think it's because they look for a mom with kids and since we have 6 we fit the bill. Sometimes it takes me a little while to realize we have a stow-away. :rotfl: I usually just stay right where we are and wait for a frantic adult to come into the area.

The most memorable time was in the waiting are for Soarin. My mom had taken my 4 boys on the ride while I waited with the girls. We were on the very last set of benches and this little boy is crying walking by all the waiting people. I was amazed that no one tried to help him. He was obviously lost. So when he got to us I asked him if needed help finding his parents. He nodded his head. I was taking him to the CM when a very frantic dad entered the area. The little boy and I saw him at the same time. I started waving my arms and the little boy started running to him. The dad didn't know how to react. It was one of those "Don't ever leave my side again!" and "I was so scared I had lost you forever" Shake - hug - shake - hug.

You sure look like a really sweet Mom and that's why they seem to gravitate to you. That was really sweet of you to help the little boy. It's those kinds of situations that instantly put us in "mommy mode".

What is it with people losing their kid in Hollywood Studios? :confused3 When I was walking up to The Great Movie Ride I saw two women running around screaming a girls name and asking everyone if they saw a little blonde girl. The guy in front of me pointed to the corner and there was a little girl, maybe 5, standing with 4 CMs crying her eyes out. Her mom and the other woman ran over to her and they were all crying. The CMs looked so relieved that they didn't have to search for the girls parents!

Oh no! Poor things!

Nice update, Lisa!

We went to Muppets when it was raining and I just assumed that the line was moved because of that. Maybe it's a new thing?

We love Muppets3D! If we are at Hollywood Studios, we have to see it! When Sam says "a salute to all nations, but mostly America", I giggle. Every time.

When we did our Pirates & Pals cruise, the pirate said that as we were watching the water parade and I giggled like a little girl. Everyone else on the boat looked at me like I was loony, but our pirate gave me a big smile of thanks for actually knowing what he was talking about.

I don't know if they'll have people start lining up on the side of Muppetvision from now on or not. It was certainly better than waiting out in the sun. Well, what little sunshine there was right them but you know what I mean.

I can just hear Sam Eagle's deep voice right now! You made me smile just like your pirate did!

Too cool that Hunter got to meet Mr. Peterson, even though I don't know who he is either:laughing:.
I can't wait to see what the surprise is that John bought.:goodvibes

Even I thought it was a little cool to see somebody famous even though I didn't know him from the man in the moon!

Yay!!!! I am all caught up now!!!!!

I'm so glad that you are back! I know you've gone through some tough times lately.

My boys (who are huge Star Wars fans) said that Lorne Peterson is Count Dooku. They said it was nice to see him smile - apparently he's a bad guy.

I too love your pre-trip and trip reports and all the little side stories. I would follow your blog or whatever you decide to start!

You could have told me he was the King of Siam and I would of said "oh okay!" :lmao: Just proves that our kids know a whole lot more than you and I.;)

I started my blog and hope you'll come over for a visit. I haven't gotten much posted there yet as I am still trying to figure out what I am doing. The link is in my signature.

I would have been nervous about time sitting at the Indiana Jones show too. I know exactly how you must have felt!

So glad Hunter got to meet Lorne Peterson and it was a good experience for him. :thumbsup2

The Streets of America picture of John is a hoot! :rotfl:

Ooooohhh....Hunter found a magic shop! I bet he was in his glory!

I know what you mean about not having a plan...it just doesn't feel right! I don't know how people go for entire vacations without one. CRAZY!! :confused3

With every tick of the clock, we were getting nervouser and nervouser (yes, I know that's not a word:laughing:)

Hunter was so happy that he got to meet Mr. Peterson. I gotta admit that it was even a little cool for me.

John and Hunter sure keep me entertained that's for sure!

I know there's no way I could go to Disney without some sort of plan. That day just wore me out!

Nice updates. I will confess, I don't know much about the Star Wars actors either, but I think its so cool that they have such a huge following.

Question - How do those storm troopers survive in those costumes. What the heck kind of cooling device is in there. Just looking at one of those costumes makes me hot!

Doh to the drinking **** who put the drink on the baby's stroller. No wonder they cut in line!

I have no clue how the Storm Troopers do it! They have got to have rivers of sweat pouring down them. I get hot just in a t-shirt and shorts so I know I'd never make it as a Storm Trooper.

Yeah, I thought the person who put their drink down on the baby's stroller was an idiot! Even when they put the child back in the stroller, they kept it sitting there. Dumb bunnies!

Lisa, your entries rock! I will admit I am a huge Star Wars fan and am a little jealous of Hunter. :) It is great that you are all able to have so much fun together and everyone can do what they like!

Thank you! You should try and plan a trip during Star Wars Weekends. You'd be in hog heaven with all the people there!

Love all of the pictures from the Muppets! We haven't seen that in years, but I think we need to go back soon. Also LOL about John sleeping. He really can sleep anywhere can't he:lmao:

You definitely need to go back to see the Muppets....even if it's just to sit downand soak up the air conditioning. Yes, John can sleep anywhere. He can even catch a wink or two while standing in line.

Great update, Lisa. When we saw the Muppets, I did not notice the difference in the clothes at the end...I'll have to pay attention next trip. too funny that John immediately fell asleep and you had to wake him up when you did. He cracks me up.

At first, I didn't notice the clothes but then something caught my eye and I saw that it was a different ending.

John cracks me up too! He's such a goofus!

muppets is always a fun show...how scary for the little one that you found; that is my nightmare with Ashton especially now with him wanting to be more independent...it is so easy for them to think they are with their grown up and so easily slip in with another pair of jeans...

Thankfully, I have never lost one of my kids at Disney or anywhere for that matter. But, I can certainly see how it would be easy to do.

I love the muppets - one of my favorite things in DS. You have the knack of taking pictures of things that I haven't noticed which brings me back to the attraction all over again - thanks! Poor little guy - so glad Mom showed up quickly.

My mother made a comment this weekend about how many pictures I took while we were at Disney. I told her I won't complain about how she waits on Hunter hand and foot if she didn't complain about my picture taking. Shut her up real quick!

Did you notice the light above the doors before they let you in???

I don't remember!

Enjoyed the update, Lisa. Muppets is a fun attraction. As you demonstrated, there is so much to see at the preshow! I didn't notice the crowd update at the end of the show. Thanks for pointing that out!!!

I love Muppetvision and have to see if every time. I wanted to take more pictures in the preshow but I also wanted to watch the screens.

I'm working on an installment right now. In the meantime, ya'll go check out my blog. I just started work on it and it's a little different than posting on the Disboards so I still have to get the hang of it. I don't like how it reads "backwards"...the newest stuff on top and the oldest on the bottom.

I hope to get a post on my blah blah blah blog at least once a day and I hope that everybody will feel free to post their thoughts.

The link to the blog is in my signature.

We left Muppetvision and headed back in the direction we had come from:

SANY2921.jpg

John tried Mama one more time and was finally able to get her on the phone. She had been wandering around the resort, ate in the food court and did a little shopping. She also talked to her sister and her first cousin. She said she had had a nice time just chillin'. John asked her if she was ready for us to come and get her and she said she was. John told her we were going to ride Star Tours and then he'd head that way. She said that was fine and not to get in any hurry.

SANY2933.jpg

You can tell by the number of pictures that I was able to take that the ride was pretty much a walk-on. We didn't encounter any line until we got right up to the part where the castmember asks "how many?".

SANY2934.jpg

Once we had completed our flight, John said he was going to head on over to the resort to pick up Mama. I told him that I'd go but he said he would so that I could go with Hunter to use the next Star Wars Fastpass.

**Okay, gosh darn it! What is up with Photobucket? They changed their site and I can't find some of my pictures. Let me go look for them so I can write some more.

Nice update, Lisa. The last several times we rode Star Tours it was really empty and we could have gotten lots of pics. It was, unfortunately, closed for the rehab while we were there in September. I've noticed Photobucket acting up too. So glad you started your blog.

Holy Star Tours Photos! You have plenty of those:laughing: My boys are really going to miss that ride. Wonder what the new one will be like.

I know! I have never been able to take so many pictures while in the ine. I hope the new version is even better than the one they have now.

Hi, Found your blog, and I LOVE the title. I addd it right to my favorites!

Carey

Thanks! I hope you'll feel free to post your comments.

I don't like photobuckers new set up either. It's weird

Just as I had finally figured out how to work Photobucket, they throw in changes.

I'm checking out your blog! :thumbsup2

I hope you'll stick around the blog. It will probably take me a while to get it up and running smoothly but it will give us all a way to chit chat.

I just realized I missed some comments that I needed to reply to:

Hey Lisa!

Great updates!

Was that one picture a Thomas Kinkade? I have been eyeing his Disney pictures for about 2 years now and DH keeps saying I can get one if I really want it, but I just can't bring myself to spend the $$! The coolest thing with them is that if you dim the light that is showcasing the painting, the lights on the painting seem to brighten like someone really turned them on or up. So stinkin' cooooool!!!!! We saw a few of them at the Thomas Kinkade gallery in Savannah and the salesperson did it for us.

You know, I always feel like I'm wandering around aimlessly at Hollywood Studios. We usually go for rope drop and then do everything we want to get done in about 1-2 hours and usually have to wait for Pizza Planet to open for lunch. My oldest wanted to see the High School Musical show last May, so we had to hang out for that, but it was almost painful just wandering.

I like to have a plan! Not a "we have to be on Dumbo at 8:03, and then Snow White at 8:06" kind of plan, but a general idea of where we are going from one ride to the next.

I didn't notice of the picture was a Thomas Kincade or not. I just thought it was so pretty and soooo costly.

I hated wandering around aimlessly. Drove me absolutely nuts!

Fun update! Can I tell you I just love love love that print of The Darlings and Peter Pan flying over London! I may just get a big birthday splurge when I go in January. (I'm running 26.2 miles. I deserve it right.) That is pretty sad when a stormtrooper disapproves of someone's parenting. You know it has to be bad:sad2: Can't wait for more!

I think the picture would make a great splurge birthday gift!

I LOVE that Peter Pan picture. That is SOOOO cool. Can I ask how much it was? Not that I am going to be buying it. Just curious. LOL!

The Comunity board is VICIOUS!!!! I started a pre-pretrip report back in the late spring and I got attack right away. I had heard from others that there are several members who only stick to that section of the board and then get nasty with people.

I don't remember how much the painting was but I do remember that it was equal to one arm, a leg and maybe an ear.

I remember when you went over to the Community Board and the horror stories you had to tell when you came back over here.

Not again. As you know I will follow you where ever you post. Your letting us in on Mama, the wedding, all the "mini trips" and all the "ETC" is what makes this report so fun to read and makes it last til the next trip.

100 % Agree.

Ya'll are so sweet. It's hard for me not to talk about all of the other goings on in our house. That's why I started the blog and I hope that you will come over and join. Don't be a lurker!

All caught up now! Glad to see you are still having lots of fun with your Star Wars day. How neat that you just met up with the stormtroopers. Funny story about the other (RUDE) family.

I am so impressed and jealous of the pictures you got of Hunter and all of the characters and celebrities.

Thanks for posting that Peter Pan picture. It is VERY cool.

When you were describing the packed Indiana Jones show and how you had to leave, I was picturing the two of you having to do some acrobatics of your own to get outta there!

We had fun for the entire day even though I didn't have a clue who all the people were that I was meeting.

I was prepared to start doing a hop, skip or jump if that's what it took to get out of the theater.

Such a good hubby John is!

I checked out your blog. Great job so far.:thumbsup2

John is a sweetie pie! I think I will keep him.

photobuckers. Thats hilarious:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::happytv:

I didn't even notice that Jen typed Photobuckers. Did I do that too?

After we rode Star Tours, John said he was going to get Mama. I offered to go but he said he would do it. He is such a sweetheart and he loves my Mama to the nth degree so he was happy to do it.

It was getting close to our Meet and Greet Fastpass for Jeremy Bulloch so we walked towards the front of the park with John until we came to the line. John continued on and we waited until it was time to use the Fastpass. Again, the castmember gave us a black and white photo for Mr. Bulloch to sign. Our time arrived and we were let in line with the other guests. This little boy was standing in front of us. I thought his handmade costume was too cute:

SANY2935.jpg

A picture of the sign:

SANY2936.jpg

When it was our turn, the castmember took my camera and took pictures while we spoke with Mr. Bulloch.

SANY2937.jpg

SANY2938.jpg

SANY2939.jpg

Mr. Bulloch was super nice and he chatted with us while signing his autograph. Again, I was very impressed that these stars were giving us one-on-one attention like we were the only persons in line. Hunter was grinning from ear to ear the entire time.

SANY2940.jpg

SANY2941.jpg

SANY2942.jpg

All too quickly, it was another guest's turn and we were shown the way out. Hunter couldn't stop talking about meeting Boba Fett in "real life". I have to admit that I thought it was pretty cool too since this was one character that I had actually heard of.

We knew it would be a little while before John and Mama would make it back so we figured we would take some pictures and do a little window shopping.

SANY2943.jpg

The guy at the ATM behind Hunter kept looking at us like we were nuts:

SANY2952.jpg

So we took another one after he left:

SANY2951.jpg

After walking through the stores, we decided to just sit down on a bench somewhere and wait. We heard music and saw that the High School Musical parade was coming down the street:

SANY2944.jpg

SANY2945.jpg

SANY2946.jpg

The Photopass photographer was standing near us and he took these pictures:

I think these are neat. Look at the reflection in his sunglasses...it's me!

I missed a couple of pictures that I took before Hunter was in the mouth of the dragon:

SANY2947.jpg

SANY2949.jpg

More pictures I took while we were sitting on the bench:

SANY2956.jpg

It was so hot outside that day even though it was cloudy so I know that this lady had to be burning up with a big ole furry Stitch on her head and one strapped to her back:

SANY2958.jpg

SANY2959.jpg

The Photopass guy was back on the street taking pictures. We watched him for a while and he came up with the best poses for people and he took a lot of time with each guest. This couple had their faces painted to look like some Star Wars character:

SANY2962.jpg

SANY2961.jpg

I have a picture that I took of a woman on the street and I was going to post it but decided it wouldn't be appropriate. She had on a semi see-thru top and she wasn't wearing anything underneath....nothing. I didn't mean to take a picture of her but when I started looking at my pictures, I saw her in the background. There is no way in the world that I would have worn that shirt in a public place!

**Up next: Dinner at Sci-Fi

What a great day for Hunter. So glad he got to spend some time with Mr. Bulloch...you can see how much he is enjoying it.

Great photos while you were sitting on the bench. And I love the photo of Hunter with the dragon. :)

I dont think the CMs are allowed to let people in dressed with clothes where you can see body parts like that. And no, you didnt spell photobucker, you spelled it right.

Looks like a go with the flow kind of afternoon. I love the picture of your reflection in the sunglasses too:goodvibes
