Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I'm loving your DHS day so far. We are going back in June but this will be a mostly Universal trip this time. Although we are staying at POP and will get 1 Disney day in. River picked DHS because he just rode RnRC for the first time. I've never been in the summer only the fall and your scaring me with the heat!

I have the same picture of River as you do of Hunter with his head in the dragons mouth! I got the idea for him to do it from an older picture you had of Hunter I think Lacey was in it too.
I checked out your blog. Yours is the first blog I've ever read and probably the only one will ever read.

Can't wait to hear what happens next!

happy thanksgiving all my disboard friends ! Yes, i know i'm a day early but i am afraid none of us will have the time to get on the boards tomorrow.

Lisa, Happy Thanksgiving to you, John, Hunter and mama and the rest of your family.

I'm all caught up again - finally! :goodvibes

Despite not really having a plan for the day, you guys seem to be having a good time and covering quite a bit! Love those Photopass pictures of Hunter's sunglasses with the reflection of you...very creative! :thumbsup2

Glad Hunter got to meet both the Star Wars guys, sounded a bit like a dream of his come true!!

Happy Thanksgiving! Sorry I'm a day late. I loved your last installment of your DHS day & I'm so envious that you met Boba Fett! BTW- I love your blog, too!!!

I hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving, Lisa!

That's so great that Hunter got to have those experiences with the Star Wars characters! And good to hear that they were friendly and willing to talk to each of the guests for a little while.

Those photopass pics with you in the reflection of Hunter's sunglasses are so neat!!! Disney sure has some talented people working for them!

Morning all my Dis friends! Thanks for all of the Thanksgiving wishes. I hope that everybody had a great holiday.

Office billing that normally goes out on the 15th was delayed due to a lot of different deadlines so I am just now working on it. I am hoping to get an installment posted today.

Stopping bye to say . I hope ya'll had a great Thanksgiving :goodvibes.

We need to chat again soon, it was fun :thumbsup2.

Hunter and I didn't have to sit too long on the bench waiting for Mama and John. Really, we only had time to take a few pictures and watch the High School Musical float and dancers come by. Hunter had texted his daddy to see where they were and John said they were at the Hollywood Studios turnstiles. Instead of walking up front to meet them, we stayed put so it would be easier for them to find us. Before long, we saw them walking down the sidewalk.

It was nearly our dinner ADR at the Sci-Fi so we figured we better go ahead and check in. We gave them our name and we took a seat on the benches inside the restaurant. We may have waited 10 minutes, if that, before they called our name and we were led into the restaurant. It had been several years since we had eaten at the Sci-Fi and Hunter was excited for his Mamaw to see the inside.

Our server came around just a few minutes after we were seated and took our drink order. He offered to take our picture for us:

By the time our drinks came out, we were ready to order. I ordered the butcher steak. Mama ordered the ribs. John ordered the Reuben sandwich. And, Hunter ordered a burger. By the way, the burger is on the lunch menu but not on the dinner menu but they will let you order it as an entree for dinner. Just thought I'd share that little tidbit of info with you.;)

While we waited on our food, I took a few semi-crappy pictures:

I don't remember how long we waited for our food but it wasn't long at all. Food porn:

My steak:

Mama's ribs:

Hunter's burger:

I have to admit that I didn't care for my steak too much. It was a bit on the tough side and I didn't like the sauce at all. I am so glad it was served on the side and not over the steak; otherwise, I wouldn't have wanted to eat it.
Mama, John and Hunter all said their food was good and I sampled a rib from Mama's plate.

For desserts, I ordered the peanut butter chocolate cake which was outstanding:

Hunter is not a dessert eater but he ordered the cheesecake so that the rest of us could get a taste of it:

John ordered a hot fudge sundae:

And, Mama ordered a fruit plate:

My dessert more than made up for the yucky sauce and a little-on-the-tough-side steak.

Like I said, it had been a couple of years since we had eaten at Sci-Fi and it will probably be a couple more before we go back. I just don't care too much for the Hollywood Studios restaurants for some reason. They aren't bad but they aren't great either.

***Up next: More wandering until it's time to get our choke on!

Great update. Thanks for posting the pics of Sci-Fi. We are eating there in May and have not really seen any good pics. Can't wait for the rest of the day.

You're welcome. I hardly ever see good pictures of the food at Sci-Fi either. I guess because it's dark in the restaurant. If I ordered the steak again, I'd order it medium instead of well done. And, I'd definitely tell 'em to leave the sauce in the kitchen.

I love seeing Mamaw in the car! I also like how she chose fruit as her dessert. If only the rest of us could be so good .
