Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I loved the mini report! That place looks great. looks like everyone had a nice time. I love the pic of hunter and lacey hugging. How cute! Glad Mama decided to go with you guys!

Hi Lisa!

I'm loving your mini-report! Helen is an adorable little town. It looks like a great place to explore!

What a moving graduation ceremony! Lacey is a special girl...as I'm sure I don't have to tell you! To dedicate your life to ministry is a big sacrifice...of the things most people would say make you successful. It's a good thing our true success is not measured by those standards!

Now I think I want to take a mini-trip to Helen. It is only a couple hours away from us and I never knew. I do have one question. Is it similiar to Gatlinburg? It looks beautiful but I hope it is a little less touristy.

I had fallen behind again, but now I'm all caught up. Clutzy me managed to step on one of the dog's toys and twisted my ankle and my knee. I can trip and fall on almost anything! Luckily once the swelling went down it turned out to just be sprains and no broken bones, so I'm happy for that! Anyway, I loved reading about your trip to Helen. It's such a beautiful place and your pictures are great. I know you are so proud of Lacey. Isn't it wonderful when your child turns out to be such a wonderful adult. You read so much about how the young people today are making such wrong choices, it's so heartwarming to hear about Lacey and her friends at the mission who are dedicated to helping others.

Terri

I love the graduation pictures. Lacey being barefooted is the first thing I noticed....:lmao:.

It looks like ya'll had a good time. I love the pictures of the houses and the hotel. I like little towns like that.

Hello just following your bread crumbs (read links) to your TR. Thanks for your advice about CBR vs Pop Century.
Wow 47 pg's sorry I just couldn't read everybody elses post but......I did read all of your post about the trip. Loving it and looking forward to the rest of the story. You are a great writer and keep me hanging on.:thumbsup2
Hope when it's my turn to write my TR I can do half as good.

Subscribed and popcorn::

editted to add: I guess my post made it 48 pg's. Let's just see what happens after you add your Photo pass pics. hehe

Hey! just wanted to let ya know that I'm loving your report and can't wait to read more.:goodvibes

Enjoyed the tour of Helen, GA. It's a really pretty, little town.

Floating down the riving in a tube sounds like the perfect way to spend some of these hot days we've been having. Our predicted highs for tomorrow and the next few days is at least 100 (and you know that's not counting the humidity to = a heat index!)

I was happily reading your TR when I noticed something that made my heart VERY happy!:goodvibes That Lacey was graduating from Master's Commission. I am a Graduate of the Brownsvillee MC (03) and Mobile MC (04) and I have a very special place in my heart for all things Masters:woohoo:. I am from Georgia, so I'm interested in what MC she went to!!! Okay... enough of the hijack... there is still plenty to read, but I wanted to tell you to tell her hello!

Oops!:rolleyes1 Should have opened the next link! I'm FROM a little town right before Cleveland... Called Clermont (don't worry- you probably missed it!). It really IS a Small world afterall, huh!!?!?!?

Oh, and now we live in Hattiesburg, MS.

Lisa,
I think my oldest Daughter may be heading down the same road as Lacey. She just came home yesterday from her 3rd mission trip of the summer and announced that she is spearheading a fund raiser to build an orphanage in Africa. She will be announcing it in church today that they need to raise $25,000 by this date next year. There are still great kids out there like Lacey, Jesse, the MC crew and my DD. I'm proud of all of them. Just wish there was more of this in the news.

Welcome aboard! What did you guys decide....CBR or Pop?

Hey! just wanted to let ya know that I'm loving your report and can't wait to read more.:goodvibes

Thanks so very much! I'm trying to get our trip to Georgia finished up so I can post more about Disney.

Tell me about it honey! It's supposed to be 105 today. That's the actual temp. I have no idea what the heat index is.

I'm happy to have you here! Lacey enjoyed Master's Commission so very much. She would have stayed on another year if she hadn't needed to get a job and start saving some money.

I actually do remember seeing Clermont on the map. I guess I noticed it because we go through a town in Florida named Clermont on our way to Disney. Oh, and we pass through Hattiesburg on our way to Disney too!

What fantastic news! I am like you....why doesn't the news report the good things that young people do now-a-days. All you ever hear them report is drugs, alcohol, sex and violence.

Please keep me updated on how her fundraising is going. And, tell her that Mrs. Lisa is super proud of her.

Hey, I started my May 2011 PTR, I couldn't wait any longer!!!!!

I don't blame you one little bit for starting a pre-trip report. As a matter of fact, I've already posted there.

I just found the DISboards a year ago, but I've read most of your TRs. I just can't believe Lacey has graduated. I remember last year when that was the BIG milestone you were looking forward to- her having that third year done.

I'm glad that you have enjoyed and are still enjoying my trip reports. I can't believe that Lacey has graduated either. We were sad and happy all at the same time.

That is a really cute town. I love you taking a picture of that building that looks like Spaceship Earth. It's so nice to know that there are other people out there that are as obsessed with Disney as I am.

Congrats to Lacey. It is so wonderful what she is doing with her life, too many times we hear about people from her generation being so self-centered and having no ambition. So it's nice to know that there are young adults out there that are doing such great things for others.

Looking forward to seeing the Dollywood part of the trip. The last time we were there was 1996, I think. My husband and I actually got married in Gatlinburg, TN and Honeymooned there too in 1997.

I took a picture of the "fake" Spaceship Earth building on our way to Disney but I guess the picture didn't turn out. So, I knew I had to take another one on our way to Georgia.

Thanks for the congrats to Lacey. She has always wanted to do some type of mission work or something similar and I'm glad to see that she has (and hope to continue) accomplished her goal.

We started to go through Gatlinburg but it was late and we were trying to follow Mapquest back to Georgia.

Great Mini TR, I love that little town, it's really cute! I love places with little shops like that. I believe you about the best way to get around that town is to walk, you can see how crazy the traffic was in a couple of your pics.

That was some crazy rain in the beginning of your trip, I hate driving in the rain, especially on the highway.

Looking forward to hearing about Dollywood and more WDW updates too.

Helen is such a cute little town and I would love to go back and visit it. I just hate the traffic!

I've made it to page 31, but I must go to bed. Hunter looks like hes grown a ton since the last trip pictures.

Well, you're getting caught up and, thanks to my being busy, I haven't posted any new updates so maybe you can get even more caught up.

You are right, Hunter's growing like a weed!

Dang! I thought I posted before, but I didn't. Congratulations to Lacey!!! That little town looks like so much fun.

What a touching graduation! The town was very cute. It looks like it would be fun to explore. My DH bought the same Star Wars shirt that Hunter is wearing.

I always cry like a baby when they have the graduation ceremony and this year was no different.

Hunter was so happy to get that Star Wars shirt. It took us forever to find that darned Boba's whatever-it-was-called store though.

Love your TR! We will be staying at CBR for the 1st time in Sept, so I really like seeing your pics.
Glad you were able to take your mom, I would LOVE to take my mom to WDW.
Congrats on Lacey graduating, I know you are very proud of her. It makes me so sad to think about the day when my kids will be grown!

I was just in Helen, GA this past Friday tubing down the river!!!

Thank you! The CBR is a beautiful resort and I'm sure you'll love your stay there.

Mama instantly fell in love with the CBR and she really enjoyed everything that Disney had to offer. Maybe, one day, you'll talk your mother into going to Disney with you.

I'll pass along the congrats to Lacey. I am, indeed, one proud Mama! Hang on to your babies 'cause they sure don't stay babies for long. It seems like just yesterday both of mine were little.

How cool is it that you were just at Helen! Lacey used to go to South Carolina all the time to visit her friends in South Carolina Master's Commission.

Loving the TR. And congrats to Lacey! She is doing her generation proud.

Chapter Nine of my TR is up and ready.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2474844

Thanks! I've already headed your way.

Lisa, I haven't done the train to Silverton since I was about 11. Dan and I always say we will take the kids but never do. Our kids have lived in Colorao their whole lives but have never done that train or gone skiing. But they've been to Disney 20 times!:rotfl:

That magic shop guy would never last as a Disney cm.;)

It's been a long time since we've been to Colorado. We were saying just the other day that we needed to go back.

Oh, no the magic shop people in Helen weren't personable at all!

Lisa, looks like ya'll had a lot of fun, and that town looks really quant!! I can't wait to see Dollywood pictures!! Hunter reminds me SOOO much of Tyler, especially with the Star Wars shirt on!!! Those boys will probably get along pretty good!! When are you going to DW in May? Just wondering if we'll overlap, or if I can pop over for a day....

Hunter is a Star Wars fan to the hilt so if Tyler likes Star Wars, then I am sure they'd get along great.

We will be arriving in Disney on May 25th and will be leaving on June 4th.

I loved the mini report! That place looks great. looks like everyone had a nice time. I love the pic of hunter and lacey hugging. How cute! Glad Mama decided to go with you guys!

Hunter just couldn't get enough of Lacey. He never left her side.

Hi Lisa!

Helen is a cute little town and I'd love to go back.

Thanks...I think Lacey is a special girl too. John and I both have family in the ministry and it is a big sacrifice. She may not be rich in dollars but she will be rich for all the things she has (and will) do.

Now I think I want to take a mini-trip to Helen. It is only a couple hours away from us and I never knew. I do have one question. Is it similiar to Gatlinburg? It looks beautiful but I hope it is a little less touristy.

I haven't been to Gatlinburg so I can't really compare. Helen is touristy but the crowds aren't too terribly bad. If you do decide to go, just pay $3 to park in a lot and then walk everywhere. It's easy to get around on foot.

Oh no! I hate to hear that you fell but I'm glad to hear that it wasn't anything serious. If there's even a speck of something on the ground, I can trip and fall so don't be embarassed.

Heln is a beautiful place and I'd love to return there some day.

I am so proud of Lacey. She chose a difficult path to follow but she walked it with grace and strength as did her fellow Mission students.

I love the graduation pictures. Lacey being barefooted is the first thing I noticed....:lmao:.

It looks like ya'll had a good time. I love the pictures of the houses and the hotel. I like little towns like that.

Lacey and her barefooted self. I can't imagine who she gets it from......this coming from somebody, namely, me, who is sitting here with a big scrap on her toe from stepping on something in the backyard while barefooted.:rolleyes1

Dang! I thought I posted before, but I didn't. Congratulations to Lacey!!! That little town looks like so much fun.

I'll pass along the congrats to Lacey! Helen is a wonderful little town to visit. There are all sorts of shops to stop and shop in.
