Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I am not sure how many updates I missed, but I really enjoyed your ride on test track. So glad Mama had a great time and you all managed to score some great souvenirs. :thumbsup2 to a DISmeet!

What a sweet memory of the Coral Reef! Do they still do the personalized menus there?

Unfortunately, no, they do not do it anymore. As far as I know anyway, things could have changed. It would be nice. Worth a try calling to find out though.

Okay...with all that has been going on the last two days, I admit that I skimmed a little bit. I love that picture of John on Figment...you always get at least one good picture of him taking a catnap.

And, yes, your boss will get over you going a day earlier. I promise to be top of my game on the next update.

I have to admit that I've taken a little power nap on several rides before (Spaceship Earth, being my favorite one)--but I've never thought to nap during Figment!

Morning all my Dis friends! Well, today's the day we leave for Georgia to see Lacey graduate. Graduation is at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. I think MapQuest said the drive is about 9 1/2 hours and Mama is coming along so I am sure we'll be making an extra stop or two to let her walk around. We've arranged for a late check-in at the hotel. Sunday, we intend to skip church and take Lacey off somewhere by ourselves. We want to get as much one-on-one time with her as we can. I'm sure that God will forgive us for not attending church that day.

When Lacey first entered the Mission three years, she had every intention of coming home once she had completed the Mission and college. This trip will be a bittersweet one as we know that is no longer her plan. There are no intentions to move back home as she has found the love of her life in Georgia. We also know that she won't be coming home this Summer to spend time with us and that more than likely we won't be spending any time with her until Thanksgiving, if then. Thanksgiving is questionable because she should have a job by then and who knows what her schedule will be. Man, is it hard having your kids grow up or what?

Anyway, graduation will be a joyful yet sad occasion. I know I'll be crying like a baby. I do every year and this year will be even harder for me.

Oh well, like John and I said, what argument could we use to entice Lacey back to Louisiana? There are none. Things around here are shutting down all the time. Our jobless rate has skyrocketed. The oil spill has effected our economy and will, no doubt, continue to do so for quite some time to come. We want what's best for her and, right now, her future is in either Georgia or Tennessee where Jesse is from. There's a slight possibility that they could relocate to the Birmingham, Alabama area in a year or so. If that's the case, they will be a bit closer to home.

I guess I need to get off here and mail out the bills. I finally got all of the transcription done and everything entered into the billing system. Now, all I have to do is print out Statements and envelopes. If I get my behind in gear, I should have it all done before I leave today. Which, by the way, I hope is a little earlier than Noon when we normally close.

Ya'll all have a good weekend!

Have a great time this weekend & CONGRATULATIONS to Lacey!!!!
I know it stinks that she won't be moving back home, but from everything you have told us about her, she will be one of the few people making a real difference in this world. The world is lucky to have her! :goodvibes

Enjoy your weekend and congrats to Lacey!

We are going to be up that way on Sunday (skipping church as well) and doing some gem mining.

I'm sure you already know, but remember that Lacey is ready to make her way in the world. Why? Because you and John taught her well!! She wouldn't be ready if you hadn't done your job right. Congrats to you, too!

First..great Epcot day! We ate at Coral Reef in 2007 and really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2

My boys love to pin trade too....next trip I'll definitely take more trading pins. I only took 8 per boy last time and they traded fast! Ebay is a great place to get inexpensive pins to trade. ;)

Congratulations to Lacey! I had tears in my eyes reading your post about her post-grad plans. So bittersweet to see them grow up. But you should be so proud of her! What a fantastic person she is! :goodvibes

Have a safe trip! Soak up all the Lacey you can! :thumbsup2

Oh....and anytime you and John and Hunter want to go camping with us, we're IN! :)

Great update! I love the pic of John sleeping in Figment. I haven't been on that ride before. It is on my must dos for next trip. I really want to start collecting pins and making a board out of them in my boys playroom. I will have to look on ebay. Have a great day!

Your post made me smile and tear up... I know it is so hard to let your kids grow up and away and you guys are so close!I can only imagine the bittersweetness! Shoot I cried at Gabby's Kindergarten graduation because I could not believe it was happening so fast so I can only imagine your thoughts.
Congrats to Lacey and congrats to you and John for rasing such a beautiful and loving young woman who has chose to follow God and be a Missionairy. And Congrats to her for finding the love of her life! Can't wait to see the pics!

Great Update! I love the Coral Reef, we went there for the first time when we were there early May and I had the chicken, oh wow was it good! We sat in the top tier too. maybe about where you guys were from what I can see of your pic.

Hope you have a great time with Lacey!

 My heart goes out to you. Your little bird has been well nurtured and cared for and now she is ready to fly on her own. How hard it is for mother's to let go of their children - our need to nurture and mother will never go away, even after the kids are grown, and it makes it even harder when they are in another state.

I know you are so proud of your daughter, that is easy to see, but I feel for you not having your baby nearby. I can tell how close you are, just by the way you write, so I know it has to be hard. Big hugs to you, Lisa, and a safe journey.

Enjoy your time with Lacey. My oldest graduated in May from NSU. He has flown the coop and right now he and his wife are in Wisconsin. They will not be returning to Louisiana either. :sad2: I did get a little reprieve. He did his student teaching at Port Allen High in the spring so he was back with us from January until May.

Congratulations on your daughter's graduation!!

I loved your update. How was the noise level in Coral Reef? We've eaten there before but usually for lunch and never had a problem. I'm surprised to see so many people thing it's too chaotic. Maybe that's at dinner? You all seemed to have a great time! :)

I need a box of Kleenex after your last post. I am already a hot mess about Courtney leaving to move to Monroe. I can't imagine what you are going through. If I lived closer I would come cry with your. It is going to be ok. Why do they grow up so fast?

Great update. I had to laugh when I saw John sleeping on the ride, my hubby does the same thing except he snores so we have to nudge him alot! Congratulations to Lacey on her graduation and to all of you for being a wonderful supporting family.
