Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

What a great trip to Georgia! You must be so proud of Lacey! I can't wait to hear all about it. Have a great day!

Whoah - what a mammoth mini-trip. That doesn't quite make sense does it...;) You must be superwoman to do all that in a couple if days ;)

Can't wait to see the pictures, and glad you enjoyed too!

Finally caught up. Loved your day at Epcot. The pic with John asleep on Journey into Imaginationis adorable. My Aunt has one of my Uncle asleep on that from their trip a few years ago as well.

I am glad you had a good weekend with Lacey. Congrats on her graduation.

AWWW!!!! What a proud momma!!! I know I'll cry at my son's graduation. Shoot, I cry on the first day of school every year!!! HAHA Glad you had fun, and you made it home safe! Congrats to the grad!!

Whew, been only partially here for awhile (work's been kicking me in the behind, but OT = Disney Money!) and fell a "few" pages behind (ok, was only about 6... good thing I'm a fast reader!)

So, without much further ado (maybe a little ado, but not a whole heck of a lot. I think this is just about the right amount of ado...)

In no particular order:
Huge congrats to Lacey! And to you and John as well (she doesn't deserve all the credit now does she? :p). The distance may be rought but you guys are obviously strong and will get through it. It'll only make the visits that much better anyway ;).

TT, Dismeets, Coral Reef... none of which I've done :(. Don't think there's any planned meets during my time in Sept either (I miss Kathy by about 3 days, and April on the other side by 2 or 3 ><). Test Track is a plan and I couldn't help but think of your "gotta pee" moment from last trip (erm or was it the trip before? I think I'm starting to get confused!) And lastly, Coral Reef. I may look into altering reservations if there's a spot there. I think I'd rather do that than Rose & Crown or Marrakesh, but it will all depend on when/if I can get a reservation for both Via Napoli and La Hacienda (the 2 new places, Via Napoli will be open when I'm there, La Hacienda might be).

Hope you have a good rest of the day :)

CONGRATS LACEY :banana::dance3::yay::woohoo:.

I know how hard it was to see her graduate and then have to leave her in Georgia. It is great to see our children accomplish great things, but when they have their own lives it kinda feels like a betrayal :sad1:. I know they are supposed to leave home, but boy that time sure does fly by.

The job market is horrible here too, in every field. I keep hoping it turns around, but it just seems to get worse. Amanda has a temporary job at the University of South Alabama Medical Center, but it is only for 3 months. Her boss at the University was able to get her on there because her job at web services was to end on August 13.

Ya'll must forgive me. I have been trying to catch up with all my subscribed threads and think I have finally done that. I also had quite a few things sell on Ebay while we were gone and I spent several hours packing those up and printing shipping labels last night. Those two things along with the regular cooking and cleaning is about to whoop (yes I said whoop ) my bootie.

Oh and while we were in Georgia, we got to visit with Lacey's first year Mission leaders and they are planning a trip to Disney. I've been getting them some price quotes. They have a 4 year old and a 1 year old and it'll be their first trip to Disney.

So, give me a little more time to get something posted. Thanks!

Take your time, Lisa - we all know how crazy life can get!! :dance3:

BUSY Weekend. How long did it take you to get to Dollywood then? We went there back when Skip and I first started dating. It was our first trip toghether and we brought Michael and Paige too. It was fun. We rented a cabin in the area. And a true test for Skip. He made it through a long weekend on vacation with my kids! LOL!

:rotfl: I love John's "come-hither" pose! Too funny!

That stinks about your camera dying on you at Coral Reef. I hate when that happens. :headache:

Congrats to Lacey!! :yay:

Yikey Crikey I was behind. :sad2: The story about your tooth is funny but I would have been so flustered if it had happened to me. I feel your pain on that one.

Congrats to Lacey! I know it is bittersweet but she had great parents and she is going to be just fine.

It was wonderful to meet you at the DIS meet. I didn't get a pic..I'm a loser and don't think about it. I get caught up in the moment and just, well, forget. :confused3

I hope we can meet up again one of these days! I kind of wish that Thanksgiving trip would have worked out for ya...we are going back then as well. :goodvibes

I can't believe you were so close to my house! I can be in Dollywood's parking lot from my house in an hour. We have season passes. I bet you went right through my town to get there. Can't wait to read your mini trip report!

Day two of our Walt Disney World Vacation started out with me getting up first and the poking and prodding to wake John. I called over to Mama's room and told her we were awake and to get Hunter up. Today was to be our first day at the Magic Kingdom!

A little while later, I was knocking on Mama's door to see if they were ready. Mama opened the door and taaa-daaa, Hunter was out of bed and all he had to do was slip on his shoes! I was so happy that we didn't have a repeat of the morning before.

We grabbed our bags and we were out the door and on our way to the bus stop. You all will recall that one of our concerns was whether or not Mama would be able to step onto the bus. We already knew that she could but another concern was whether or not we would have to stand on a bus. On our first day, the bus had a lot of empty seats. Would today be the same? In less than 10 minutes, we saw a Magic Kingdom bus pull up but we really couldn't tell if it was full or not. As we stepped on, we could see that there were empty seats. Hallelujah!

We made two more stops around the resort and off we went to the Magic Kingdom! We didn't make it there early enough to see the opening ceremonies but we were there just a little after opening.

Our plan for this day was to go to the right and start with Tomorrowland. Hunter was ready to show his Mamaw all that Tomorrowland had to offer. But, I had something to do first. You'll recall that I had found a camera memory card the day before at Epcot. Well, I forgot to turn it in. I told John that I would go to City Hall and see about turning it in there. I wanted to make sure that the Magic Kingdom Lost & Found knew that the card came from Epcot and the day I had found it.

Mama and I had to go through bag check while John and Hunter waited on the other side. I wanted to see if I could find a PhotoPass photographer to take our picture but they were all busy. We'd just get one done inside the park. We walked underneath the train station and I told the rest of my gang that I'd be back. Mama decided to walk with me so she could make a potty stop. I gave John and Hunter my bag and the camera.

Here are pictures they took while we were gone:

I lucked up and there was only one other person in line at City Hall. The castmember that called me up was really nice. I told her that I had found the memory card at Epcot and asked if they would make sure to notate when it was found and where. She assured me that they would. I sure hope that the owner was able to get their card back. I know how sad I would have been had I lost my memory card. Heck, I remember a couple of trips ago when my camera died and I lost ALL, yes I said ALL of my vacation pictures. I cried like a little baby. Thankfully, our local camera shop was able to retrieve most of them.

Anyway, I turned the memory card in at City Hall and Mama and I walked back over to where John and Hunter were waiting. I guess I had been too busy trying to get over to City Hall to think to look down Main Street at Cinderella's Castle but I didn't. Now, as we turned to walk down Main Street, I caught my first glimpse of the castle. It's one of the best sites ever!

We had to step aside and let the horsedrawn trolly pass and I snapped a picture:

SANY2529.jpg

I didn't bring my Photopass CD with me to work to upload those pictures onto photobucket. We did stop and have our picture made while we were all still fresh and ready for the day. I'd hate to see what we'd look like at the end of the day. Hot, sweaty, hair flying all over the place, etc. etc. etc.

Once we had our picture taken, we continued on down Main Street. I took another picture before turning on the pathway towards Tomorrowland:

And, then one walking down that pathway:

Our intention was to go to The Laugh Floor first but Hunter saw Stitch's Great Escape and there was a super short line so we went there instead. Pictures, of course:

SANY2533.jpg

Everybody knows that Stitch is one of those "either you love 'em or you hate 'em" characters. In our case, John is on the "hate 'em" list. Mama said she wasn't a big Stitch fan but there was no way that she was going to tell Hunter that she didn't want to go. Soon, we were shown into the first preshow area where we watched the little screen presentation. Then, we went on through to the next preshow presentation.

You'll notice that I don't have pictures of those two preshows. Why? 'Cause I am not that dumb bunny that the castmember had to keep yelling "NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY PLEASE!" to. Seriously, she had to yell it three or four times. Clean your ears out people, there's no flash photography allowed! Sorry for that slight bout of venting but that always ticks me off when people continue to use flash when they have been told not to. Repeatedly.

I told Hunter that we didn't want to sit in the very front because I knew that it would be loud and Mama is not a loud noise fan. And, I didn't want to be spit on by an alien that early in the day. When we went into the theater, Hunter led us to an aisle in the center and we sat down. I told Mama about sitting up really straight so that the bars wouldn't push down too hard on your shoulders. Soon, Stitch was bouncing on our shoulder bar, whispering in our ears and burping in our face. Call me weird, call me crazy, call me whatever but I kinda like the show. But, I like Stitch. Mama said it was okay. John, of course, said Stitch was stupid.

We looked around in the store a little but didn't find anything that caught our eye. Hunter's at the age where the majority of the toys are too kiddie for him. I remember when he was younger though. We had to buy a ball from every store we went in. I'm glad those days are over.

A few pictures I took in the store:

***Well, shoot, I guess I'm going to have to stop here because my boss is needing me to do something. Up next: The Laugh Floor! Would Hunter's joke be chosen again this year?

Great update. I have never been on stitch...but I have been on it whe nit was the alien thing (I forget the name now) I must say the first time I went in....it was the scariest thing EVER. My friend , her 17 year old brother and I...all screamed like babies. It was horrifying. :scared1: You could feel it breath on your neck, feel blood splatter, poked you in the back...I couldn't even believe it was Disney. When I went 2 years later I sat up and forward so I wouldn't go so many of the scary effects. LOL!
I hear Stitch has alot of the same effects, but not so scary. And I supposed the storylinemight make it better too. Does it stil lgo pitch black in there too?

Can not wait to read this trip report.

Are you sure we are not related???

I dont have alot of funny stories but my family takes pleasure in laughing at me and telling EVERYBODY how I cried and pee'd my pants on the Disney Wonder during the sail away party when I saw MICKEY! ( And just for the record.... the pee pee part happened when I slipped going into the bathroom prior to the party BUT I did cry when Mickey came on stage for the sail away party.... you would have thought I was a love struck teenager and the hottest teen hearthrob just walked out on stage, Oh, well.... only us true disney lovers would understand ;) )

We are definitely a "love Stitch" family. I don't necessarily love the ride, but the little blue guy is just fine with me!

I'm sure someone is very thankful that you took the time to turn the memory card in to the lost and found. I can't even imagine how I would feel if I lost my vacation pictures.

I know what you mean Lisa. Just looking at your picture makes me homesick fo the Magic Kingdom...6 more months!

Great update Lisa!!! Your family looks like they have as much fun as mine does. I just love your son, and your mama!!! My son is just a little younger than yours, he's 12, but is at that "age" LOL It's fun tho, I love different aspects of each age.
