I do everything and I'm happy to do it! :goodvibes

All my wife has to do is make sure she gets the time off from work. She has NEVER called MS. I book the flights, buy the APs, book the rooms, make the ADRs, etc.

Exactly like our household....only in reverse. I am the wife and I do everything.

I'm the obsessed planner in our household. DH and I talk about plans and he shares what he would like to do, where he'd like to eat, etc but when it comes time to call MS or book flights, that's me! And I love every bit of it!

On our second trip as a family he said he would find us a hotel with a shuttle for the night before we flew out. We ended up at this super sketchy hotel... I now plan this part of the trip too! :thumbsup2

:) DH picked the home resort AKV....I involve him in the planning and now that we are 4 months out he has requested that I email him a "finalized" copy of the "Famous Disney Spreadsheet" so he can wrap his head around it. He decided it was time to book flights this past Fri. So I did that and added a night at Pop before our DVC stay. He doesn't like ADRs but understands that they are sometimes a necessity. So basically I do the planning and he makes sure his stuff is packed and that he has Ativan for the flight.

Just a moment ago he was looking over my shoulder at the DIS....I laughed and told him to be careful he might just get a contact high......or so I've been told. :cool2:

The DIS is my crack!!

I do all the planning and DH say whatever is OK with him. Usually everyone picks one place for dinner that they want to go to. Me, DH , DS, and DD. The rest of the days I usually plan the dinners and everyone goes along with it. I plan what days we will be going to the parks, etc. I do like to have control of things.

I, the "woman of the house" is the Disney Planner.

I don't get carried away with custom made notebooks of info, but I consult with the hubster on any special things to do, where he wants to eat (he's a picky eater), and other things. I don't really schedule x park on x day, but I do consult park hours, knowing EMHs, and crowd calendars to consider tentively what to do. We are also park hoopers -- we have hit DHS, AK, and MK all in one day woth our two (then) year old in tow. I am an encycolpedia of general info, but consult the DIS for in depth info.

I write our packing list, ressies, ADRs in a sprial notebook and that's all I take with us, as far as "planning."

My husband has some info as to how DVC works, but not much. When friends ask he can give info, but then tells them that I can fill them in.

I do all the planning, all the packing and everything! We are two women, but I am the DW....funny thing is that DP was the one who bought into DVC and all I did was say OK, now I'm the one with addonitis!

I am a planning nut myself - and I book reservations, flights, etc....DH and I talk about food, park and rides etc but I put it all together and pack. He would not remember his wallet if I didn't remind him:confused3:lmao: and has expressed his own fear of if he packed having no underwear:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:!!!!!

All my wife has to do is make sure she gets the time off from work. She has NEVER called MS. I book the flights, buy the APs, book the rooms, make the ADRs, etc.

I'm not sure my wife knows what an "ADR" is. She knows she gets to magically eat without waiting and thinks I'm nuts for wanting to know where she'd like to eat 6 months before we're leaving, but likely doesn't know why.

Oh well... the planning passes the time.

I do most of the planning. DH will let me know what he would like to do or will veto something but not much else.

We both plan the trip, but DH usually does the talking with member services although we switched that around this last reservation. And then I always make the ADR's that we already planned out. Either of us might arrange the air, on the rare occasion that we fly. But when driving I usually will arrange the hotel reservations on the road, but once again we've discussed how far to drive before stopping for the night. But then again sometimes DH makes those reservations too.

We have always split things up like this when making any travel plans. And when we pack we pack together. The only time I would pack for both of was when I retired before my DH and I packed while he was at work. Even then he gathered the clothes he wanted to take and placed them together in the closet or on the guest room. How do I know what he wants to wear or vice versa?

"Equal" but different. I plan the points, he books the air, usually the rental car. We do planning for cruises together, but usually, I book what I can on line. He organizes the books. We have a HUGE 3-ring binder with all of our travel information. Currently it includes things, booked and just planned through next September (hopefully the Members cruise) and that's his work of art!

We both plan our trips. I book the room and airline tickets. My DH loves looking up the park hours and planning our days. Hen then books our dinner reservations. We both do the packing. We each take one son and help them get their bags ready. :)

I don't know if it is just because we are lucky or because there is only the two of us and we go during slow times of the year but in 10 years we have never made an ADR before arrival (unless it required a ticket like the luau). The only time we have gotten turned away was from the brown derby and that was a very impromptu decision.

Of course, we also don't eat on property nearly as much as we did way back in the day.

Considering my partner and I are both male and unmarried the poll could refer to either of us...but I do all the planning.

DW is happy to let me do all the planning. Even though I try to get her more involved so it's planned equally, she's pretty content on letting me do the planning.

Together we decide where we want to go each year and what time of year we want to take vacations...other than that, it is me all the way.

DH lovingly refers to me as his 'all inclusive' travel agent. I call MS (he doesn't even know the number..:confused3), I book all flights (he doesn't even know all of the various airlines we can use..:scared1:), I make sure we have enough pass days to get into the parks if we are doing a park destination (I think you are seeing my drift at this point..:upsidedow)...basically I do everything to get us there and back safely and have a place to stay while away. :dance3:

Other than that...

I do not like to plan each and every day while on vacation what we are going to do. I have to be very structured in my daily work life so when on vacation I like to have a little bit of flexibility.:yay:

But I do LOVE the planning part...so much fun and makes the work life worth it!!!!;):woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I make all the Disney plans now.............because they are always surprise trips! In the past I still made all the plans for my extended family because I had time/the interest/the knowledge..............any of those apply.

I do everything for every vacation. I've been working on Egypt for a few months now (finally booked airfare today).

My husband thinks vacationing is easy.

In our family, I do all the vacation planning. Once we get off the airplane, I have to tell DH which rental car company to go to. Fortunately at WDW, he usually knows which hotel to go to, since we usually stay at OKW. Anywhere else, once we get in the car, I have to tell him which hotel we're headed to. I kid him that I'm going to supply him with a complete itinerary, like on group tours since I do all the planning-where to eat, which sites to see when, etc. He says it's because he travels lots of different places on business and is always making travel plans at work. I don't know whether to believe him or not, but since I kind of enjoy being the family travel agent, I don't mind. And to his credit, he often comments about how I selected such a great hotel, resturaunt, etc.
