I'm so glad the OP posted this thread! I'm taking notes for our May trip!

thanks, i agree, its great to have names. This was worrying me (bad service) now when i request someone i can tell them up front they were recommended to me by a "friend", it will make them feel better too :)

If you are taking notes to get servers for a trip a few months away, then you may be out of luck. Many of the restaurants at Epcot are staffed by young people who are on a Visa of set length. This weekend my son just returned home from his stint as a server at Le Cellier because his year long placement had finished. It is not certain that a good server in September will even still be working in Epcot by May.

Grant at O'hana is by far our fav. I go back to see him every year!!!

I know you didnt' list Donalds Breakfastasaurus......but we have had Nancy four or five years in a row.....she is tops in our book......we usually ask for her too

Well in 2001 we had Auntie Claire at 50's PTC, but I have no idea if she's still there or not. She's awesome and was also featured in Food Network's Disney special.

I am happy to report that Auntie Claire is still there! We had her in Feb or 03 and I just saw her there last week. I did not have her as a waitress this time, but my waiter did go and get her so we could say hi. She keeps a scrapbook of the guests she serves and puts in anyone that sends her pictures. Auntie Claire really is the best castmember I have ever interacted with at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Ohana: Cousin Margie--Quite possibly the best overall experience with a CM we have ever had.
Ditto to this word for word!!!! :thumbsup2

Margie was FANTASTIC!!! I really hope she is working the night we go to Ohana next May! She gave our son some extra attention and he absolutely LOVED it. I have the best pics of that and a cute scrapbook page to boot :teeth:

Walter was our server at California Grill. We enjoyed his service. He was great as far as explaining different menu items and also actually recommended (as another poster pointed out it's important to not just have a stock response  ). I was impressed with CG overall and he helped!

I wish I could remember the name of the person that everyone recommends at BOMA (we loved BOMA and can't wait to return). We had Steve as our waiter and he was great as well. It was our first meal at Disney and we were NOT disappointed :)

Great thread idea :goodvibes

ETA: Margie's name I completely remembered off the top of my head - she is THAT memorable ;) The others I looked up on my receipts in my passporter

We were served by Michael Todd at The Crystal Palace last week. Excellent!:thumbsup2

We've always had great service at LeCellier in the past; but sadly, this year was quite different. I don't remember the young girl's name but she left so much to be desired. Will have to look it up and/or ask my DDs to see if they remember her name so you can avoid having her. My DDs and DS are servers, and we are all very understanding of "things" that come up which may or may not be a reflection of the server. However, this experience was really that bad. I do believe this is the ONLY time we ever voiced a complaint in any restaurant. She disappeared for the longest times, never brought us bread, and had a really rushed and unfriendly attitude. Our food was as wonderful as ever, and we spoke to the manager who apologized profusely and tried very hard to make up for the disappointment. We just felt like we missed out on something b/c we saw all of the other very attentive members of the wait staff and wished we had one of them!
Anyone going to Cap'n Jacks will be extremely happy if they ask for Adrian. She was by far the nicest, most efficient, wonderful server we have ever had (and we've had many excellent servers)!! I asked for the manager to compliment her, and the manager told me that Adrian is a "true gem." After reading many mixed reviews, we had a wonderful dinner at Cap'n Jacks and my family cannot wait to go back. They insist that we ask for a night when we know Adrian will be there!

Le Cellie-Joey, he was good
Prime Time-Mike, he was excellent
Biergarten-Christin-she was good
WhCCafe-Diane-she was OK.

Have fun!

Hi, Karen for Breakfast or Lunch at the CP. And Mary at Cape May for Dinner. Both we have had NUMEROUS times, and both have worked for WDW for years! If you mention Jim from RI (my DH) I BET they will know who you are talking about! Joan

I know that you didn't mention Jiko, but Shellie is the best server that we've ever encountered at any restaurant, WDW or elsewhere! I know that she's mentioned in several other posts on here. We had her for the first time in 2003, where she made special appetizer and dessert samplers for us, and gave us some "extra" wine since we were doing pairings. She went out of her way for us! She even gave us her email address to keep in touch with her, and we did, visiting Jiko again this past May with her again as a server. She used to be a server at V&A's for many years, but the atmosphere just wasn't her. She loves to interact with the customers! If you do go and would like to request her, just keep in mind that she works Sunday-Thursdays only. BTW, she's an awesome sommelier, too! :goodvibes

At Yachtsman Steakhouse - Zach or Oscar. Both are excellent. And at California Grill - WALTER, WALTER, WALTER. He is absolutely the best!

loving this thread. I so leave for WDW in 12 days and am sooo making a list and checking it twice. Can't wait to tell wait persons that DIS recommended them (you know it will make there day!)

Glad to see another who loved Walter :teeth:

Everytime we go, (for the past 10 years/twice a year) we always request Anis at PT. He's great! He works mainly during the lunch hours so we always make sure we book for lunch. He made my husband sing "you are my sunshine" to me in front of the entire restaurant for our anniversary and another time he made my daughter (27) sing I'm a Little Teapot for her daughter. He always says he remembers 'his family' from Lorain, OH and I think he does! He remembers things from our last visit! We love him! :thumbsup2

Ask for Ramon at Coral Reef. Terrific guy, great server! We even took the time to make sure the manager on duty that night knew how great we thought he was.
