Who is the nicest celebrity you've ever met? The rudest?

The most gracious celebrity I've ever met is Brian Boitano. I've met him 3 times and he was unfailingly polite and gracious each time.

The rudest celebrity I've ever crossed paths with is Star Jones. She was just downright snobby. And this was a few years ago, when "The View" was still a new show.

Anyone else ever meet the famous or infamous?

The only celebrity that I come close to knowing is preshi. And she is a sweety. :teeth:
Never met though. :)

I've only met one person that was famous in the broadway scene and he was very very nice. It was Fred Inkley who played Beast in Beauty and the Beast!!

Nicest.... Cheech Marin...

and although I didn't met him I was standing close enough to know that I would never want to meet Don Johnson...blech..

Oh my gosh Serena :o :o :o LOL... thank you. I am so embarassed.

The nicest is Gregory Peck. He's my mom's cousin and is the MOST gracious gentleman in the world.

Hmm, I've met several other celebrities and honestly none of them were rude.

Well, my dad works in television so I have met quite a few over the years and was even on tv as a child (I was a "fill-in" for Romper Room :D ). Most celebs are at least pleasant and some are nice (The Oak Ridge Boys, Michael McDonald and the Doobie Brothers, Dennis DeYoung and Tommy from Styx). However, some are doozies. Dionne Warwick made every one in the studio keep their eyes averted. No one was allowed to look at her, speak to her or even approach her  Geez, someone has a big opinion of themselves.

My Dad works for PBS and they are starting to produce Sound Stage again so I am hoping to get to meet some more people soon. Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson are doing a concert next month and I am hopeful Dad can score some tickets!

I met Gene Hackman during the filming of "Hoosiers." He was gracious enough to thank me and my drama students who had come to serve as extras for the big "regional game." He talked to them for several minutes about acting and movie-making and then thanked us all again for devoting 14 hours to filming about 3 1/2 minutes of the movie.

I've met a couple of racecar drivers who were also gracious and polite.

I've been lucky enough to NOT meet a rude celebrity, although I can understand how they might be rude sometimes, considering the constant attention, requests for autographs, etc.

I forgot, I met Ginger Rogers once. She was preoccupied.
And Angie Brown isn't a celeb yet, but she does sing for the Met in New York.

This is especially for Mermaid02. Hee hee

I have had the pleasure of meeting and doing business with Nomar Garciaparra on several occasions. I have even been invited to his celebrity bowling night. This man is nothing short of gracious, polite, and respectful.

The company I work for supplies his foundation with equipment at a discount, and he always calls himself. Always says please, thank you, and if it would not be too much trouble, could you...

A very nice gentlemen, whose parents raised him right.

Rude: Roger Clemens (also shopped in our stores) could not be bothered to acknowledge anyone except the VP who happened to be in the store.

I've met a few celebrities. In my opinion, they're just like you and me -- some are nice and some aren't.

One who sticks in my mind as NOT NICE is Nick Cage. I met him on a movie set. At the time, there were a bunch of really obvious star struck extras on the set. His highness would not even look at them much less sign a single autograph.

I've met a few, thanks to my dad's job..

Rosie would have to be the rudest, very unpleasant and snotty.
Nicest.. hmmm.. Drew Carey was very nice, Julie Andrews was gracious and pleasant. For the most part everyone I've encountered was nice.

His highness would not even look at them much less sign a single autograph.

As a TV extra.... we are told to never ever ask for an autograph... maybe it's the company I work for?? Or maybe it's just different for movies??? Weird.

Nicest - JFK, Jr. - such a gentleman, very humble, and oh so easy on the eyes. :smooth:

Rudest - I met Cher and Tom Cruise once. I guess they were dating for about a minute, or that was the rumor, anyway. Neither were particularly rude, but not particularly gracious, either.

Some of Nicest:

Willie Nelson
George Burns
Chevy Chase
Steve Martin
John Davidson
Peter Gabriel
Michelle Pfeifer
Jack Nicholson
Danny Devito
Richard Dreyfus

Some, er, um, high adventure or troublesome ones:

Prince
Too many Presidents
Van Halen (back in earlier days)
Michael Jackson
Ben Vereen
John Denver
Current Sabrina

Well, I've had a grand total of ONE celebrity encounter. I saw Ray Charles in the Little Rock Airport, where he was slated to sing at the State Fair (before you all say it, no, he didn't see me, LOL). I was too shy to say anything, but I watched him with others that approached him and he was so very gracious and sweet, just a kindly old gentleman. :)

Snoops, speaking of Cher, back in the 70's my aunt and a bunch of her girlfriends met Sonny and Cher while they were on vacation (senior trip, I think). They were so nice to them, even rented an entire movie theater for the afternoon for them (they even stayed to watch the movie with them, LOL).

Same aunt also met Waylon Jennings (in the 70's), turned him down for a date (she was drop-dead gorgeous and could date nearly anyone she wanted, but she didn't date married men), and dated someone in his band instead. She was even picked up at her house in his tour bus in front of her neighbors and some friends (the big showoff, LOL).
