Who is the most famous person you know?

One is a Hall of Fame hockey player - Bryan Trottier. We bought his house last year. SUPER nice guy, he and his family were just awesome.

The other is a bit less known, but my BIL's father is Michael Taylor (stage name) who sang in a few Doo Wop groups (back in the day). His group was the Camerons, and he also sang with Dion and the Belmonts. He was the actual songwriter for the song Barbara Ann, but he was told it would never be a hit so he sold it and look what happened.

I have know quite a few Red Sox players over the yrs!!
But the most famous person I know is Debbie Clemens

My dad has known Boosmom for a few yrs too!! before I even knew she posted here on the Dis!!:wave2: Hi Stephanie from Dad!

One night a local news anchor came to visit after work and I totally freaked when he walked in the door. I was probably around 4-5 years old and didn't know how he could have come out of the TV.

A local anchor person in Green Bay says this happens all the time to him with little kids. His wife works in the corporate office of a car dealership that my husband used to work for.

Poor guy, people keep yelling at him "Hey Bill", he don't respond cause it is his stage name, he only response to people that know his real name.

Ross Perot and Ross Perot, Jr. go to our church. Ross Sr. is great...he will smile and shake hands with anyone. I've tried to start conversations with Ross, Jr. (we have kids the same age)...he just stares at me as if I had not uttered a word! Janine Turner is also a member of our church...and yes, she IS prettier than the rest of us. Also Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn are members and attend church during the off season, but I wouldn't recognize them if I bumped into them. (One time my husband called and said "I was just at the grocery store and saw our pastor's picture on the cover of the National Enquirer!" Sure enough, someone had secretly photographed Angie and Jason's
wedding and had sold the pix to the Enquirer...There was our pastor prominently featured in the photo spread! LOL)

Being from Texas, I don't know the President (no desire, but that's a topic for the Debate Board), but I know lots of people who know him from church, the country club, etc.

We live near a major airport and because of that, lots of pro athletes, former pro athletes and coaches and former coaches live within a 10 mile radius...I hear reports of sightings of this one or that one at the grocery store or whatever, but I follow sports so rarely that I'd never recognize any of them.

I know KC of KC and the Sunshine Bands- Cousin.:p He goes to a LOT of KC's performances and his Bar B Que's.;)

I went to high school and played volleyball with Vince Carter, who is from the Raptor's team in the NBA. He was a real down to earth guy, and we played volleyball alllll of the time. He was actually the one to teach me how to spike. He graduated the year before I did (he was '95, I was '96) and I have only seen him a few times after that. He was a real sweetie. His jump and dunks are AMAZING!! :earseek:

I'm email buddies with Robert Llewellyn, aka Kryten from the British comdedy Red Dwarf, aka creator of Junkyard Wars. He's also an author. Wonderfully sweet man!! :)

I babysit my little cousin and Usher Raymond when through elemarty and Dalwood Middle School. So get free CDs now of all his sings now.:p

Frank Burke at the baseball park that I work for.

I come in contact with plenty of famous people it's nothing to knew to me because I work at the baseball parks.

Our basketball team 4 years was a bunch of famous people in high school. I should know I was on girls basketball team and was the boys stat person. I have championships rings all 4 years in high school.

My list is also mostly hockey players ...

Steve Shields, Mike Knuble, Rick DiPietro, and Bubba Berenzweig have all played in the NHL ... I also know some guys that will probably play in the NHL ... Freddy Meyer (Boston University), JD Forrest (Boston College), Eric Nystrom (University of Michigan)

I went to grammar school with Rick Shroeder (he was Ricky then) and he kissed me in second grade. He left that year to film the Champ. When I was in HS I met Luke Perry (he used to be on the now defunct soap Loving)in a club in Manhattan, I hung out with him a few times. Jennifer Esposito went to my hs she is a couple of years younger than me. An old friend of mine is now the publisher of a mens magazine Razor. When I was pregnant I was on the Ananda Lewis show about multiple births they eve.n aired my ultrasound

Pauline Betz Addie was my tennis coach in high school. She was a Whimbelton champ
Gen Creighton Abrams was a long time family friend.
Gen Jacob Devers (5 stars) is my godmother's Dad and I spent my childhood running around his home in DC and farm in Virginia.
Have know our governor Jeb Bush for about 15 years now.

:earseek:Wow!! I had such a crush on him in elementary school. Lucky you back then!

Revi Sori - a past Chicago Bear - used to be a good customer at my store. I worked one of his celebrity golf outings once and that was a lot of fun.

He has since moved away and I havn't seen him in years, but he was a good, fun, guy!!!

Howard Dean - I was on his gubernatorial staff for 3 years.

My DH is acquainted with Rene Kirby (the man with spina bifida in Shallow Hal). He lives in Burlington and is all over the place. My DH, never a shy one, just walked right up and started talking to him. Now they chat whenever they see each other.

Jeri Manthey from Survivor is my DH's cousin -- not that I've ever personally met her.

DB's neighbor knows Bill Gates. DB has even been to THE HOUSE!

I'm always amazed who my DF knows. The most recent I learned of is Kenny G's family.

In-laws know Joe & Pam Cocker.

Before she moved here, my hair stylist used to cut Tom Selleck's hair.

I know no one - only my family.

My friends are the "coors light twins"! LOL Actually, they used to dance at WDW in MK and PI!!

I know David and Bobby Donner of Colorado. They race the Pikes Peak Hill Climb yearly. (Bobby died during the Hill Climb years ago.) Their parents, the Donners happen to be one of the richest families in the Coloarado Springs area. (My home town.)

My grandmother used to be their nanny for many years, so my dad grew up with David and Bobby. As a young child I remember going to the Donners house a lot.
