Who is the most famous person you know?

B.J. THOMAS....dated his brother-in-law

PEARL BAILEY....invited to her penthouse (she fussed at me!) when she was appearing in HELLO DOLLY in Atlanta.

TOM WICKER....old family friend

Lots of the old rockers from the 70's. First DH played in a band that did back-up for many of the groups at that time. After shows we'd all party together. Oh, those were the days!!!! Amazes me now how crazy we were then!

I know George Huff, from American Idol. He's a vocal performance major here at OU, and hangs out with our group of friends, some of who are also vocal majors, sometimes. Not as often as he used to, as lots of people have graduated, but when he's here he's around. I also know Roy Williams, who now plays for the Cowboys from when I worked in the athletic department.

Um...I know quite a few people in bands, but they're only famous within certain music scenes.

Not a real celebrity, but my husband and I know an actor in NYC who has appeared in movies (Serendipity being one people here might have seen). He played John Corbett's manager. His name is Scott Cunningham.

i guess he's not really famous, but i do know him...Bob Morales. known better as Ritchie Valens' brother! when we lived in des moines, iowa, the local oldies station hosted a tribute each year for Ritchie Valens and they brought in bob and ritchie's sisters for the events. the first year they were there, they were going to be taken to the crash site in clear lake for the very first time. it was pretty emotional for them...bob didn't want to ride with everyone else to the site. my dad had gotten buddy buddy with him at the tribute the night before and offered to drive him up there. he took me along too! it was pretty cool...the next year when they came back, we got to go and do all of the press related stuff with them. he's such a down to earth person...way cool...

I don't know anyone famous. The closest our family comes (and this is a stretch) is that my Mom was in the same graduating class as Steven Spielberg. But she says she didn't really know him, but that she was in one of his early films...yeah, you know, the senior class beach trip (apparently he was in charge of filming it!).

My Grandma's second cousin was Jason Robards - we have pictures at our family cabin in Michigan of him as a kid.

Growing up I knew Bill Nye the science guy - he used to make me bow ties out of dollar bills.

I used to hang out with a bunch of hockey players when they were in the minors - a few actually made it to the NHL....

Related to the Corrs by marriage - their Dad's brother is married to my mother's sister.
DH works on movies (camera) so I've met plenty of well known people. DS was helping in the background on a movie last year and got very friendly with Julianne Moore's hairstylist. Julianne Moore was so nice to him (as was Pierce Brosnan), he came away totally starstruck!
