He was involved with the DIS from very early on, maybe from the beginning, I don't know.
He was on the weekly podcast. If you listened to it, you couldn't help but love the guy. He just seemed like a hell of a good-natured, fun guy...and a good sport, as well. He was my favorite member of the podcast for several reasons. I liked him even before I remembered his name.
When I read Alex's post that he'd died I actually felt a loss, which I don't think has ever happened when I read about any other death.
I only listen to the podcasts when I walk and the weather hasn't really been good for that since last fall. I almost don't want to listen to them anymore because his absence will be...I don't know, there will be a void.

I was planning on listening to all the ones I missed to get caught up, but now it almost seems sad. I just don't know what I'm going to do about that, honestly.
My favorite podcast moment was when Bob came straight from the parks and brought the rest of the podcasters Dole Whips, but they were just empty cups because he'd sucked them down. That was so funny. You maybe would have to listen to appreciate that.
And he did all the Kaht Kam videos, which I've said before just crack me up. Especially the speeded-up one from MGM to wherever it was he went. (Kaht Kam, like Cart Cam - videos taken from the
ECV, Bob had an accent, which is why lots of folks call him Bawb.

)
As I understand it, the rest of the podcasters were good friends, practically family...and they are suffering a great loss.
I think the tribute today was lovely and I was happy to see it.
RIP, Bawb.
