The producers do not keep someone on there. John S. is there beause he has a fan base of young girls and older women that keep on voting for him. If you want him gone sit by your phone for 2 hours next week and vote for someone else. That's what the kids do...they sit by their phones and hit re-dial all night.

Speaking of Brady Bunch-JPL looks like a grown up Bobby Brady. I think it is a young Mike Lookinland (or old Bobby)everytime I see him.

The first time you posted I thought it was a joke..the second time I saw it I thougt maybe you were serious...sorry if I misunderstood.

But I am serious...if people want their favorites to go through they have to do what the 2 Johns fan bases do and sit there and hit redial for 2 hours. Is it fair? No...but we all know that this is not a talent contest it is a popularity contest.

I think when it's all said and done, JS and JPL will still have their fans, and they'll get something out of this. They are winning over people with their looks and personalities. Even if we don't all see it, somebody obviously is, and we should probably just accept it.

Singers aren't always successful because they have tremendous voices. I posted on the Official AI Thread that Britney Spears is a good example. She looks great, she can dance and she knows how to command an audience. Her singing is, at best, average. Her voice is so doctored in the studio that we may never know how good she can sing. If you've seen old clips of her singing before she became famous, you'll see that she wasn't much to write home about.

The bottom line is if someone thinks someone looks good and has a nice smile or whatever, a microphone can be put in their hand and VOILA! - they're a singing star. If you really think about it, there's ALOT of that going on right now. Alot.

There is NO WAY Jasmine should have been in the bottom 2. And she was sick, why didn't Paula make excuses for her on Tues like she did bringing up that Diana was sick? I am so disgusted with this show. How much you want to bet the Johns & Jasmine group was the top group too? Even though 2 of them should have been in the bottom 3!! I'm starting to have no desire to watch this show at all. And why, do they make the bottom people sing? If they're in the bottom, no one wants to hear them anymore.
