Who is ready for a trip report?

Did not make it to the water pageant but again still thinking of another week.

however today our adventure was to hike Lake Louisa State Park. I know quite a few of you, @bama_ed, over night there. We decided to hike. It was 7 miles with a whopping 177 ft of gain. Not my typical hike but major of it was in sand, soft squishy sand, so it was kind of hard. At least I felt like I got a workout.

then home. Sat out with the campfire and cooked hotdogs over the flames.

after crocket’s and a drink, maybe that is why, we convinced ourselves to consider that extra week. We came back and had our second gideon’s cookie.
the first was the coffee cake cookie and while delicious bert thought it was coffee cake and not a cookie.



tonight we had the original chocolate chip, while this was definitely a cookie, I thought it was too much chocolate. I like to taste the cookie, could use 1/4 of the chips. At this point while it was a good cookie am think donuts at everglaze might be better.

Mention the S word and here they go into instant panic mode. My buddy works for DELDOT and was in 2nd group called in at noon not 1st at 6am

We got our pic and then a drink at the bar. Talked to another couple and then the electric water pageant started. We headed to the beach to watch but we did not go on the beach because of mallory.

the bartender there is great. i got him talking a few times when we went back. real pro.

i think we'll head back in a year. the lady was pretty skeptical before the trip but has been talking about what we'd do differently next time. what we'd bring, what we'd do again, what we'd skip etc. definitely a good sign we will return.

I ran at 6:45 this morning, the weather was beautiful. Sat out with Mallory at 10:30 and lasted 4 hours. Temps were dropping and wind was picking up.

Bert cooked on the grill, pork tenderloin and green beans. Too cold to sit out with a fire. Plus we decided to work tomorrow so need to run to the grocery store tonight. Still debating staying another week.

Cookie number 3 was the pistachio toffee chocolate chip cookie. I liked this one best so far. Still too much chocolate but this one was better.

I know not happy and won’t be happy today. at least she got four hours outside and a chance to bark at the horses. No way today.

Yeah i like making fun of you people in the north. It was high of 60 yesterday but windy.

now at 6:30 am too cold to run. It’s 40 and feels like 34 I think. Actually I have running gear to run in that but I did not bring it to florida. Will wait till lunch. Issue will be wind gusts. Today a high of 56. Heck even atlanta is cold. Glad I am in Florida. Another reason to spend another week.

Ok before I talk anything else, we have a new problem. This one is much less important and with time and patience we might be able to fix ourselves. Calling on @tigger92662 since his coach is similar but any help is appreciated.

issue is front tv above the driver. It’s the cable. We plug our cable line into the water bay and then the coax is throughout the coach. TV in back works fine. TV that hooks outside works fine. TV in front no signal. Took the portable tv from outside and hooked it to cable up front and it got signal but very weak. So I am thinking it is the coax from the rig to the front. Where the heck might I find that connection? We did get my favorite Disney cable channel in oct 14-2 and we started getting it but it was questionable. Now we get nothing. Could it be Disney cable? That does not compute for me though because the tvs in the other two spots work fine. It makes me think it is the main connection.

Let’s talk cookies Instead of running and cold weather. I had my fourth gideon’s cookie. Yes I bought one of each so 7. This was cookies and cream. A big Oreo cookie. Probably my favorite. So I determined my issue is I love a chocolate chip cookie, but I love the cookie part so I don’t want it loaded with chips. Gideon’s goes over the top with the toppings Or chips.



I have three left. The one I am looking forward to the least is the triple chocolate because I like the cookie. Then the next two are a chocolate, coffee, toffee chip cookie. The benefit is not all chocolate for a topping so might be ok. The other is a peanut butter cookie. I think I am going with this next because it does not have chocolate and no I can’t believe I said that. when we go back to Springs I would probably get in the virtual queue again but right now it would only be for a couple cookies. Again i think I like the donuts better and that hurts I love cookies.

Kris, start at the back of the front tv and follow the cable. I doubt they ran a full length to the tv so should be a connection point somewhere. You may hafta dig for it. Do you have a vcr/dvd player up front? Check connection there also

So nothing special today. it was cold so stayed in and ran at lunch. Finally took Mallory out at dinner. Bert made hamburgers on the grill and steamed carrots and broccolI. We also had a campfire to try and keep me warm but did not work I was freezing. Fed Mallory inside then took her for a walk. Man 2000 loop was so quiet. Another cold day tomorrow. We work again but have a dinner ressie.

Fire I was ready to light myself on it.

Kris and Bert, it is nice to read your trip report. We made a quick decision to book the Beach Club Villas for 9 days. There is just too much snow in Wisconsin to dig out our fifth wheel. We arrived last Saturday and leave late Monday afternoon. We also did not buy any park tickets (yet)! We may wander over to the campground and visit. Been doing lots of exploring and yesterday spent the day at Disney Springs. We wished for warmer weather, but being at Disney, makes everything better!

Awsome Barb. Come say hi. We are working Wed and Thursday and Friday is a day off. Again no park tickets so hanging out probably head to DS on Friday sometime.

Some good news. This morning when we took Mallory out, i saw a CM Maintenance person get out of his car at the site across from us and he had coax cable in his hand. Turns out the people across from us were also having cable problems. I mentioned so the CM called the cable company. We also messed with our stuff in the coach and we are pretty sure it's a disney issue. In the process of rescanning channels but at least it is not a thing we need to fix. YAY.

We've had issues with the cable on a prior visit also, Maintenance told me it was my cable, $23 later and a new cable from the trading post and still no cable, they finally listened and fixed it, they let me return the cable, yay!
