I might sound humbugish, but I'm not.We still will celebrate Christmas, but no time in our busy life to mess with A tree or decorations.
How about you?

I got the candles in the window that run by battery turn off and on themselves. That is about it for us this year. This is the first year that I haven't spent a whole day putting up decorations and then another whole day taking them down. I just don't have it in me this year our only son moved to Japan in June for graduate school and we miss him:sad:

Yes, of course. We have two kids. Couldn't skip it!

Our tree is up and lit and that's as far as I'm going. It is such a pain to decorate and drag out all those boxes, when we're expected to spend at least half the month someplace else.

I should have stated that my DD19 has moved out and DS16 works nights at Wal-mart then goes to school during the day,so he is never home.My DW works doubles and I have 3part time jobs and help my dad who is 75 and alone on my free time.We cross paths maybe 1hr A day.

We put the tree up on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. With two boys in the house (14 and 11) we wouldn't skip it. We're glad we have an artificial tree because since DH is currently out of work. It would have been tough to spend $40 on a tree but it didn't cost us a dime to take the fake one out. Actually, I did spent $4 on a new string of lights but that wasn't much.

tree is not up yet...But the leg lamp IS in the window!!

We'll get one up - eventually - LOL.. Hopefully this weekend.. I don't think we're going to do a lot of other decorating though.. (The front door is decorated - and we'll probably do the outside railing and pole light..) But then again, who knows? We may "start" with the tree and then go hog wild..:santa:

The last year or two before I sold my house and my late DH was getting sicker and less able to do things, we had a 3 ft table top tree - mainly for DGD.. I never got the hang of stringing lights - and DH couldn't do it anymore - so that was the best option for us..

I think there are times in everyones life when for one reason or another they don't do a tree.. I'm sure you'll still have a great holiday! :santa:

Ours is up but I have several boxes of "extra decorations" that are just staying in the basement this year. I don't have the energy. It is a bit comforting to hear others are not going all out this year either. Don't know why but I am just not up for it. There will be the gifts and food ect but just not as much other extras.

Tree is already up. We did skip putting a tree up one year when we were going out of town though. I really missed it but can understand some not minding whether they have a tree up or not.

Ours is up, lights on and I just said to my dd who is 14 "I think the tree looks really nice with just the lights lets not put any ornaments on it" She looked at me like I was crazy. I'm sure I would get the same look from the other dd and my dh so I guess by this weekend the ornaments will be on.
To tell you the truth I'm not in the mood this year.

We're hoping to get ours up this weekend. We decided to switch from real to artificial this year and just bought a tree yesterday.

The whole house inside and out was decorated the weekend after Thanksgiving. Plus all my Christmas shopping was done.

Sorry busy or not, little kids or not, I couldn't imagine not decorating for Christmas.

We just came back from a week in WDW and wanted everything done prior to us leaving.

We just have a 4 foot tree in the TV room which I just put up today. Lights are on but no ornaments yet. I might not put any on because we will leave for Disney Sunday and will probably take a table top tree with us. I do want to put up just a few more things in the house. DMIL is with us and is going with us to WDW. This is her first Christmas without DFIL and is traveling all season and wont have any decorations at her house. She used to go all out with the decorations.

We currently have 4 trees up with 3 more to go. The outside of my home is lit up like the Griswalds. No I am not kidding.:cutie: We love the holidays. I will admit though that this year I am very tired and it is taking me a lot longer to get the job done.

We don't have a tree up....yet. We still have to go out and buy one. :rolleyes1 DH and I each had shopping to do tonight. Oldest DS is off to go camping tomorrow night and won't be home until Sunday so that's when we'll go.

For the first time in my life my parents won't have a tree this year - in fact all their presents will be under my tree. But they have a really good excuse. They gutted their house this spring and are living in two rooms until they finish rebuilding - they have a bedroom and the other room has their refridgerator and all their stuff - they don't even have a bathroom; luckily I'm only half a mile away
