Who is planning on staying at Kidani Village next year???

We were originally planning to stay in a 2 bedroom Savannah View for a week next October or November. However, we decided to buy a BWV resale with banked points so we're giong to do F & W, staying at BWV instead. We may do a couple of nights at Kidani in addition, but it won't be our primary hotel for that trip. I've also been a little concerned about the construction interfering with our pleasure if we stayed at Kidani; my mother will be going with us, and she detests any signs of construction.

We have to use our developer points at SSR, so we're doing that in January. So I'm thinking it may be 2010 for us...

Not in 2009, but for 2010 were planning on doing a big family vacation on using our points to rent two 2 Bedrooms (or a mix of other room sizes - still debating).

Kidani is our next DVC stop. We did Jambo House-Concierge in April and loved it but when it came time to book this trip, I knew that I wanted to try out Kidani this time before I did concierge again. So, we've got a 1BR standard view reserved for June 27-July 2, 2009 at Kidani.

Maybe we will see you there. June 27 - July 6 for us in a 1 BR Std View.

Planning for early Dec 2009 in a 1 BR SV! Can't wait!
Some people have expressed concern about construction still going through all of next year - I thought it would be completed by next summer. Am I missing something?

Am I not going to see animals if I keep SV???? Am I missing something??? My dh and kids are expecting to look out and see animals all the time....maybe we won't and we are spending boo coo points. Are the animals sparse?? We plan on arriving on Tuesday...no park that day. On Wed. we plan on going to MK til just after lunch and then back to resort and back to MK early evening and no park on Thursday so we have plenty of "resort time" and we want to enjoy our view......if there is one. Do you know when I made this ressie....MS asked me if I was sure I wanted SV because by getting standard view I would be saving 30 points. I thought that was odd. LOL

We almost always had animals outside our balcony in our stays at AKV. We feel the savanna view rooms are worth it, and we won't book a room at AKV that doesn't have it.

Hi Mike.....well I am thinking that too...we want to stay in AKV SV at least for 3 nights (we might switch for the weekend to a standard view or Value 2 br) and I sure hope to see animals.

Hoping to spend 3 nights in Kidani around 3rd week of Aug 2009!

Does it look like Kidani will be easier to book than Jambo? We own at SSR so don't have the 11 month window and will have to go with whatever is available--but are happy to stay anywhere in AKV! We saw the resort last year when we ate at Boma and fell in love

Unfortunately, got sick and never made our breakfast at Boma! Dissapointed, really heard outstanding reviews about Boma, especially breakfast!
