Wishing you well, Bobbi. I had my left knee replaced (after many years of saying no) back in early October. I am doing fine now, five months down the road. You probably have heard it from many, do your therapy, do your therapy. It is tough, very tough, but necessary. I was in the hopital for 3 nights, 4 days, then to an acute care short term nursing home for 15 days for inpatient therapy, 3 sessions a day. Then home and one month of outpatient, 3 times a week PT and one month of 2 times a week outpatient PT.
I agree with all those whom I spoke to prior to the operation, who had had knee replacements (and there were a lot over the years). They said (and now so do i) that the operation is tough, the therapy is tough, but the results are great, feel so much better, should have had it done sooner. I agree on all accounts. I think a big key is the inpatient post operation focused physical therapy time.
You will do great, Bobbi, prayers and good wishes go with you.
