Who is going in January 08?

Howdy rcraw and everyone else!!!!

We will be at the Yacht Club Jan 1-7! Flying from California on a red-eye on News Eve! The kids have no idea!!!! We are not going to tell them until the morning of. Going to breakfast and giving them a 'forgotten' Christmas present of Disney $$$, then telling them they have 5 hours to go home and pack. It is KILLING me to keep this secret!!!!!!!

Maybe we will run into each other while we are there..........

You mentioned you stayed there recently. Any advice you can give me? We have never stayed there before.

How many in your group?
We will be arriving from Portland, OR after flying a red eye and getting in around 12:30 pm.

There is myself DH, DD, DGD (6) and DGS (4)

Do you have any plans for arrival day???

We are hoping our room is ready and we can possibly have lunch and take a nap before heading over to MK.

I'm coming in from New Orleans and we should be hopefully checking in around 1:30 or 2:00. *crosses fingers* We didn't really make any plans to hit up the parks on our arrival day. I think we're actually just going to head down to DD and walk around, do some shopping, etc.

It's going to be myself, DM, DA, and DA. (I'm still getting used to using these shortened words. heh) But basically, all women and no men or children. I'm the youngest (21) and will be supervising my mother and two aunts. Ironic, eh? I've been several times before and this will be their first time at Disney! :D So, I'm really exciting, and SO glad we've finally got into double digits.

Trying to convince DH for a 2 day stay in January 08 @ POFQ. Want to get away for a few days & use the AP's. Stayed in POP in September but want a quieter stay this time. Need another Mickey fix!! :wizard:

We'll be at POFQ Jan. 26- Feb. 2! This is a long awaited- once postponed trip and we can NOT wait!!!! Soooo excited! Here's hoping for low crowds and great weather!!!

We'll be at Pop from 1/25 to 2/2 for DS 6th b-day!! We are all so excited!

Count us in - we'll be there January 10-15 at the Polynesian. DH is running the Disney marathon again. Extra trip for us!

We just booked our trip for January 11-20th yesterday!!! We are going for the Disney Homeschool Days @ Epcot and doing all the parks for 5 days and Disney Quest for 3 days. We got a 3 bedroom townhouse @ Hapimag Lake Berkley Resort and we are soo... excited:goodvibes
We weren't planning on going until next Aug. 30, so you can imagine how excited we are about going in 2 months!!!
WDW here we come!:wizard:

We'll be there (me, my wife, and 3 kids), at AKV, from Jan 5th - jan 11th.

:)

I am so excited! We will be at Pop January 12-17 and at AKL 17-20. We have never switched resorts before so we are hoping that goes smoothly. We have all are ADR's (San Angel Inn, Le Cellier, Beirgarten, LTT, 1900, Boma, and WCC) and hoping that there will be a P&PP (but by looking at MK hours I don't think there will be one).

I just read yesterday a few tenative dates for the P&PP. I don't remember if I saw it on WDW website or Allears.net. We are leaving WDW on the 20th on Jan. so we were curious also. The earliest date next year was the 21st of Jan. so we would miss it by one day. If so , maybe you could extend your trip by a day?

We're booked at Pop Jan 26- Feb 3. SO excited. I've got our schedule roughed out, ADRs booked

This is the first time I'll be at WDW for more than a weekend or a day. My daughter and I haven't been there since we were FL Residents back in 05. My husband hasn't been there since he was a kid with his family over 20 years ago! (He was SOO disappointed to just find out there is no more Mr Toad's Wild Ride! :-( )

We can't wait. Every once in a while when we're having a rough time...one of us will just start singing..."We are going to Disney, We are going to Disney." (imagine the "we just got a letter" song from Blues Clues.)

I'm starting to think about how we are ever going to get through Christmas. Some kind of gifts we can use on the trip perhaps?

Barb

Yea! I found the Jan 08 group! We are leaving on the 22 and will come home on the 26th. We are at the CSR. firsttimemom, maybe we will run into you. DH has a convention there so DS and I are doing disney and Universal.

Too excited! DH thinks I am nuts!:cool1:

I homeschool our three children also. We are going Jan. 11-20 for the Disney Homeschool Days @ Epcot on the 14&15. Have you heard of it?
www.disneyhomeschooldays.com is the website. You can get park hopper ticket packages through them also.:goodvibes
We haven't been in January before so we have no idea what to expect weather or crowd wise. Hopefully it won't be so bad and the weather won't be so hot as it is in September:woohoo:
Have fun!!!

I actually just heard about Homeschool Days earlier in the week on my homeschool loop! It sounds like it should be fun!

We went in February last year and loved it. I'm hoping the weather is just as cooperative in January as it was then. Have you checked out ***************** ? They have a crowd level calendar that can help you judge how the crowds might be during the time you're going to be there. However, you need to have a membership or an Unofficial guide to get access. But since I'm already there, I'll sneak a peek for you. BRB...

I'm back! :) The crowd levels look pretty good for you. The only thing that might make it a bit more crowded might be the Marathon and Half Marathon that first weekend you're there. HTH

Hmmm. Wonder why I can't post the link? :confused3

Thanks for looking for me! I'm not worried about the crowds too much. We have 5 park hopper tix we are using M-F, the 14-18th. We also have 4 water park fun and more tix which we are using at Quest for 3 days. We will get to Orlando Friday night, leaving home early that morning. We have a 10 1/2 hour drive plus stops from here in Asheville. We will be going to Disney Quest Sat. and Sun. so hopefully Quest won't be too busy. We have never been before so I have no ideas about crowds there. It is probably always busy. Then we will be going to D. Quest again the Sat. we leave. Also, my mom has an ECV and is disabled so we usually get on rides a little faster with her which has been really nice in the past!

I'll be there Jan 6-10 with my daughter. We're both going to college at night and a trip to WDW in January really helps us get through the semesters! These trips are looking to be an annual event. I hope we can continue go each year.
