Love that pic, Jack! Just made it my IPad screensaver!!

Wednesday, Pirates shut down in the middle, lights turned on and we made our way back to the dock with no music but animitronics still going. Since the lights were on I got my camera and took some pics of the scenes. The last bridge we go under at the end of the ride dripped tons of water on us! When we got off, all of NOS was shut down including all restaurants- tables emptied and left with food still on them and all staff evacced out to in front of RR. ???
Buena Vista Street is beautiful, they got it right!!! Stores are open and classy, fountain in the entrance, Walt statue ground level, wonderful entertainment and music. Enjoy!
Carsland was like stepping in to Radiator Springs in the movie, it was so authentic! . On Thurs, I didn't get in line til 8:35 am for FP (no EE) but we had FP for 7:35 that night and was out of line at 9:10 am. The kids did TSMM and carousal while I got those FP. We went on RSR right at 7:35, talk about awesome! I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. Cool slow drive then on to the race. It was down before our FP time and just after as well. Today the kids got Grizzly FP at 830 for 905 then went right into the FP line for RSR.
We got to the front of the line by 850, 15 min before our 905 FP return time, so we let a lot of folks go by til it was 905! Our return time today was for 545 pm. We have gone on Mater twice. Fun ride and quick 15-20 min line.
We ate dinner at Flo's twice and everyone thought the food was good and good value.
Kids meal comes in a cool, plastic, take home Lightning McQueen lunch box/car.
My kids do a lot of pin trading so we stop and go a lot even at the early start of the day when my FP clock is ticking away. I have to cool my jets and let the magic happen and it always does.
On Sat AM we got to FL for our non-disney hotel EE at 8:30 and still got to all the rides there but Casey Jr. The StoryBook Canal guide told us we could watch the fireworks from a boat if we came back and asked about 20 min before the Fireworks. It was just beautiful. Up close and on both sides of us. Of course you could not see the castle or hear the music but it was so pretty in the lit up canal!
We got the PhotoPass+ before we came down and there are lots of photographers in DCA! Havn't seen so many in DL but we are not going meet and greets with characters and princesses so much. The ride pictures are amazing- we have gotten our card scanned at every ride!
Billy Hill is awesome performing outside at Big Thunder Ranch!!! So funny and outstanding musicians! Great charachter interaction- we goofed around with Chip and Dale, Daisy, Minnie, Mickey and Goofy. Wide open spaces, good shade and lots of fun up there. We were there from 11am to 12.
Mornings have been great at both parks and really filling up after noon and getting hot!
Sat there was a small handful of protesters out in the heat in the afternoon only-about 8 to 10 across by the city bus stop near the entrance. The looked hot and weary. No police presence at all then.
About to head out again for the night! Have a good one everyone!

Her hubby is in the Army and has been away at training before his deployment in a few months. Since she has and will be holding down their household of 4 kids he said she needed a little break and he can have some alone time with the kids. My daughter hasn't been to DLR in about seven years. First time for both us to Cars Land.
Our stay will be 8/29 - 8/30 and staying at The Menage. We are both so excited!!

We are 5 days out from the road trip, 4 more working days, then pack and we are off at 0600 on Sat, drive to Redding the first day and then down to the land.
Glad you are still able to make your trip Jack. Going to miss your pictures, but can't wait to see the new ones. Have a safe trip.
5 days in and having a fabulous time/though def wearing ourselves out! Oddly, today-Monday-was the busiest day, and the hottest, that we've seen.
