Who is Going for Mardi Gras??

Just wondering how many New Orleanian's are heading to Disney next week? Just curious and wondering how crowded it might be.

Well we are not from the south but we will be there cuz it's "mid-winter break". We've got our beads and we'll be wearing them in MK on Tuesday!

Not from NOLA, but from Mobile AL, that has big Mardi Gras and we are going to Disney that week. We know a lot of people going them actually. Schools are out here.

and I sure wish I was going this week. DH's 40th birthday falls on Mardi Gras day and I would have loved to have been able to take him "home" for his big birthday, we do have a trip planned for our DD17's High School graduation and DS15's 8th grade graduation! Ya'll have fun out there!

we are leaving Thursday, and will be there until Wednesday after MG. We wanted to stay longer, but kids did not get the Thur & Fri after MG off this year, due to Katrina. They will still miss Thurs, but no big deal.

This coming weekend is supposed to be very crowded, rated a "9" on the crowd level. By Wednesday, it's supposed to be a "6".

Just a quick reminder about the interstate in p-cola,fl. It will be CRAZY!!!They are doing construction at the 1-10 and I-10 split and the bay bridge is still only 1 lane eastbound. I would try to get through p-cola by 3:00. The earlier the better. It is only wedn and it is already backed up! Be careful and have fun! Tell Mickey we will see him in March for our Spring Break. We are crazy but we are going to New Orleans for Mardi Gras! DBIL is a rider in Endymion so we are going to go see him have some fun!!!

We leave Friday at 2pm. Were dirving only half way Fri. and plan on getting there Sat. around noon. Just going to relax a little around the hotel Sat. and maybe go resort sight seeing. I can hardly wait. Kids still don't know we are going to Disney. It's killing me keeping this secret. We usually keep a Disney countdown calendar on the fridge, but not this time. Have fun everyone, I know we will.

I am picking up my youngest DD Friday from LSU and heading out for our fist Mother/Daughter trip!

Her last class gets out at 11:00am, I am still wondering if we can drive straight to Disney.... hummm... That bridge construction is a concern for sure!

We will be staying at the Poly, this is our first time at the Poly so we are pretty excited! Getting to stay at the Poly and (hopefully) getting to ride Expedition Everest are what we are looking forward to the most. (I have ridden EE, but it will be her first time!)
