I can’t believe I passed up all these vinylmation displays at the stores the past few years.

was shopping at D-Street and noticed some people trading their vinylmation for a mystery box. They were so excited when they found an Epcot vinylmation. I just had to try it myself. I bought my first one. It was an ugly Muppet! I immediately traded it for an awesome “goofy” in the mystery box. That was it! I was addicted. We wound up going home with 20 new vinylmations.

Have they always had the mystery box? Anyone on here addicted? I want to go back just to trade!

Not me, but ds (12) is hooked. Ds got his 1st figure last August as a substitute since he really wanted the vinylmation pins but there were all sold out at the parks. When we went back in May, he ended buying 5 more and he was checking the mystery box every day of our trip. We're going back next month and he's been saving his money to pick up a few more. Now if only the display cases weren't so expensive. How are you displaying your 20 vinylmtions?

You can trade the vinalymations??? I have 3 at home that i dont like? Can i trade them?

There are 3 place that I know of where you cn trade. 1)D23 store in DTD 2)pin shop next to the gun saloon in DL, and 3) Tower of Terror shop in DCA. There's a clear case which usually holds 3 vinylmations that you can trade for if you like it and there's a mystery box where you choose a # and you get wht's behind that #. You can only do 1 trade per shop/per day for each case (myster box or clear case). So you can really trade up to 6 times a day if you didn't like what you got or are looking for a specific one.

Ok gotta ask what these are? Sorry total newbie here but sound like something I may be interested in. What is the cost?

In January 2009, I was visiting friends/family in California. My friend gave me a Vinylmation as a gift. I'd never heard of them before that.

This was the one I got...(Park Series 1)

We were going to the park the next day so I decided to buy another one. I got ANOTHER yeti. I didn't know I could trade so I still have two yetis.

This January we were at WDW and I purchased two more. (Both from Park Series 3.) I just knew I'd end up with this eagle since it's the one I wanted the least.

The other one I got made up for it. It's the pirate and I love it!

I plan on buying a couple from Park Series 4 this Fall. Hopefully they still have them! There are quite a few from that series that I really like.

Does anyone collect the pins? I only have two. I bought a two-pack while at WDW in January. They are from Park Series 3.

Thanks so much for the link...definately gonna check them out at the park.

I don't have any but I think some of them are pretty awesome. I've been in search of the Sully and Boo set (limited edition and apparently are worth around $250 now :scared1:). I saw these at a trade show at a mall:

Cool photos! I would LOVE to own every single one from each of the Park Series collections. I'm just not willing to spend that much money on them though. That's why I currently own only four. And on our Fall trip I'll probably only buy 2 or 3.

Didn't I read somewhere that mini's were coming out? Those I might be interested in..and also, I think it was on the blog awhile ago about 55th DL figures, but those may be limited, but they looked cute.

I'm not addicted, but i do like them. On our last trip, i bought the large silver FutureWorld EPCOT one in WDW since i'm a sucker for EPCOT merchandise, and was happy to get the toy story alien in my one random purchase of a small one.

My son bought his first and only one last month and he got the pink and purple one. He was kinda bummed until we found out you can trade them. We headed to D23 for a quick trade as we were on our way out and leaving for San Diego. He picked the monorail one out of the display box.

I love the Monsters inc ones!! Those are so cute!

I just saw on another thread that they had limited edition ones on Disney Cruise Line. I know what souvies we will be buying on the ship in January!

OK.....I have been hearing a lot about these. I just checked the Disney site link above and they have a VOLLEYBALL figure. I have been coaching and playing volleyball for the last 25 years or so.

Can I buy this in the park? Anyone know? I assume many are in closed packages so you don't know what you get until you open???

When we were at DLR a few days ago they had mini ones on keychains. Not sure if those were the same ones you had heard about but they were cute.

I don't actually collect them, but I did get my hands on one from a friend who didn't want hers anymore. It's the dalmation one. No use for it though, lol. Probably taking it to trade on my trip in September.

Vinylmation are nice, I am not a huge fan of collecting them then pins. I have a few Vinylmations and my favorite is the D23 Vinylmation when I got it last year at the D23 Expo. I remember that a lot of people when I was at the Expo that went after these different types of Vinylmations that were small and big.

When you trade your vinlymation do you need to have the box or just the figurine and the card if it came with one?
