Epic - meeting Toothless questions

Hello! We are looking forward to meeting Toothless on our upcoming trip. Is that meet & greet usually open during EPA? And is there anywhere on the app that we can see the wait time? Thank you!

We just went to Epic in February and meeting Toothless was very important to me. I think he was out first thing in the morning, but I chose to do Hiccup's Wing Gliders with the early morning hour. We did end up meeting Toothless and got lucky to meet Astrid and Stormfly (they only popped out and met less than 5 parties waiting in line). We got in line towards the end of the night to meet them. The line moves very slowly, so we still ended up waiting about 45 minutes. During the day, the line was well over 2 hours and it isn't listed anywhere. If the line is well outside of the queue, it will be a long wait.

We were there last month and met Toothless during EPA. The line is slow. It took us 35-40 minutes. Each group gets a solid 3 minutes, maybe more if there are kids who are really into it. Hiccup's is very unreliable. We pivoted to Toothless when we saw them holding people outside the queue. We got to meet Toothless and hop in line at Hiccup's before the portal opened to everyone. We felt it was a very productive way to spend early entry.

Confirming that when we were there last month we met toothless (How to train your Dragon is my youngest son’s favorite movie series) during EPA. We waited about 35 minutes but after EPA is was over an hour all day. It was worth it though, my son listed it as his favorite part of the trip.
