Who here uses CM's SBC+ for digital scrapping?

If you look through this thread, you will find some great tips. Here are some quick ones to get you started!

Use the shadow feature. Start with their shadows (heavy and light) and then later you can play with making your own.

Try one of the predesigned layouts to get a feel for the program. Also, there are tons of free "themes" with predesigned pages on the CM website. Download some of those and play around just to get a feel for the software.

Mostly, don't be afraid of it and have fun!

Wrap text around images and objects, as the text will follow a line you draw; new filters, such as oil painting, mosaic or frosted glass; view a two-page spread while editing; auto-populate; Tools, grid-cutting, corner cutter, tearing paper, blended and patterned edges, and turning any image into a rubber stamp. You'll be able to upload right to Facebook for sharing. The full disk includes Black and White, along w/ Discover and Delight, and I think the upgrade disk includes cottage garden.

I can't wait to get my hands on the upgrade! I should be able to get it Aug 15th! I'll let you know as soon as I play with it!! I can't wait! The upgrade sounds fantastic.

I just returned home from Showcase!!! YES, ALL OF THE ABOVE IS TRUE!!!!!! Our goodie bags included a free download for the upgrade, it is downloading right now, I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!

Also, new organization totes and more (desktop caddy and binder for CCS), new Black an White Power Pallette, new rotary trimmer (super cool), and so much more!!! Contact your consultant for all the details!, I have software to play with!!!!!!!!

Are you ready to read this? I bet you are! I was so excited that I was jumping around and about ready to rock and roll!!! It will be available on September 1.

I won't make you wait any longer, so here's what we were given.

Journaling and text enhancements
You've never been able to do more with text and journaling: wrap your text around images and objects, fill any shape with text, draw a line - straight or curvy, and text will follow it. [Yes, this means text paths & text shapes!!! ]

Project auto-populate
When importing photos into a new project, you have the option to have the software auto-populate [as in placing the photos onto pages!] with those photos based on date and time.

Facebook upload
Now your pages and ther creations can easily be uploaded to Facebook right from your software.

Page rescaling
No Need to redo all your hard work for mulitple project needs. Now you can resize your 12 x 12 to 8 x 8 or your 8.5 x 11 to 7 x 5.

Two-page spread editing
This improved 3.0 feature allows you to view both sides of your StoryBook at the same time for easier editing.

Improved Content Manager
See and sort your digital artwork to easily find what you're looking for. Search by keyword to quickly locate the paper, embellishment, or color scheme you want.


So, ARE YOU EXCITED?????? I don't have many more details or info than this, but we were given a copy of the upgrade in our goodie bags. I'll download it tomorrow and play around with it a bit and make a show-off page for you to see.

This will be available on September 1. So, call your Creative Memories Consultant and pre-order your copy! They are doing the same thing as for the MM 3.0 upgrade - $9.95 upgrade if you already own SBC+ 2.0 for August & September; it will be the regular price after that.

If you don't have a Creative Memories Consultant, go to creativememories dot com and fin the consultant locator tab. Fill out the info and you will be given the names & contact info for 3 consultants in your area that you can contact, and give them a call to place your pre-order!

I asked, but no news. I've learned after my experience at Regionals this year that they are VERY secretive about what they're doing, so even if it's in the plans, they won't say. I had asked about text paths, paper tearing & stickers & they looked at me like I was an alien. But they were working on it at that time.

So, who knows? But this is the first upgrade since SBC+ has come out, but they really packed a punch in this group!

One of the cool things about the corner rounding/cutting is that you can selected whichever corners you want cropped. It's not automatically all four - it's all your choice!

It looks like that's what it means. I just downloaded my upgrade and it took a bit for all my kits to transfer over, but I will be playing around with it all today. I'll let you know how it works, and if it works for non-CM kits, too. I forgot to ask about that this weekend.
