Amber: So your SIL knew about this guy's criminal history BEFORE she married him?? If she didn't know, then that's grounds for an annullment. If she did know - I bet he had some sob story about how that wasn't really how it happened and he got blamed for something that really wasn't his fault at all. Man, that is messed up.

Where does your MIL want you to move? I wonder if maybe it might be a good idea, if that would mean there were more jobs available.

She did know before the marriage. According to him it was consensual and that he and the wife were going to get back together. However, he then decided not to do so, so the wife got mad and had him charged.

Now, rape is usually a VERY hard thing to prove. I would imagine that it would be even more difficult if the people were married/seperated. I mean, he could just say that she was trying to get back at him (which is his excuse). In my mind for him to be convicted, there has to be some serious evidence.


My MIL wants us to move to Brooksville, FL (where she lives). It's about 45 minutes outside of Tampa, near the Gulf. It really is a pretty place and Mike and I are seriously thinking about it.

His dad already said that he can work with him. The pay isn't the greatest, but there's no state income tax, so it evens out.


I hope Emma feels better soon and that the doctor's figure out what is wrong.

wow, Lesa - they really do have you over a barrel. Just when things were looking up!! Well, here's prayers that the others that need to review Maddie's situation will see that she's suffering and needs help. Stupid red tape! Just help the girl and get it over with, people!

Small update....

I went in and spoke to the Social worker and voiced my concerns. She explained the process to me. The next meeting wouldn't be until middle of Feb. and then they have up to 60 days to complete the testing. She brought up how Madison's reading level and scores are right at grade level. She said with a learning disability they usually score low and are behind on reading. I told her Madison's problem is not a learning disability. She has a language problem affecting her processing, expressing and writing. They were under the wrong assumption it was a LD problem. She called in the Speech pathologist and psychologist and they agreed that this needs to be dealt with now. So they are going to discuss with the rest of their team what can be done now while the rest of process takes place. I am so happy, I got somewhere today! Now I have to hope I didn't mess with the rest of the process. They made it sound like they have never dealt with this particular problem before.

Am I even making sense? Sorry! I didn't get enough sleep last night!

Lesa, glad you got some progress done today. I got some done too because I looked online and it looks like my insurance has paid some of my doctor bills.. I still owe 2 different doctors some money but atleast they paid some of it.

When Ruby was boarded at the vet they took this picture of her and made a Christmas card for us. She looks sad to me but I like that it has a Disney border..

I spoke to my mom about moving. She thinks we should go for it. We are really thinking about going. I am really scared about it, but it may just be what is best. There are just not many jobs around here at all.

My teacher called me today because I sent her an email about using the CP as my Co-Op and it was approved! And she told me that if I wanted to, I could take two other classes that are only offered every two years also. I would send all my homework by email. I am so happy about this because I was a little upset about doing the CP because it would make me a semester behind, but not now!!!

Ashley, we would wait until after the baby is born. I would love to leave now, but since I am high risk I don't want to start over with new doctors (not to mention if we moved, I wouldn't have insurance).

Amber: Good idea waiting until after Spencer is born to move. It's a big decision, but it sounds like it might be a good one. Tampa is a really nice area - and pretty close to WDW!

Lesa: So the meeting went well! It sounds like they were trying to fit her into a mold that isn't right for her - I'm so glad you set them straight.

Well we JUST got home from Urgent Care and Emma has --- another virus. Yep, that's all. While we were there, she had the runs and went through 2 pairs of panties and 4 pullups, plus a pair of pants and a diaper from the office. She also threw up a few times. But I have to say, they did take us seriously and did a ton of tests. They thought she might have this problem where the bowel scrunches up and turns inside out like a sock being peeled off, but they did a thorough ultrasound and it came back normal. Emma had a 103.7 fever and slept most of the day (when she wasn't *otherwise* busy) but she was great. I know how she hates all that poking and prodding.

They needed a urine sample and we waited forever but Emma wouldn't go. They decided to catheter her, and I said I'd take her to try one more time first. As she was sitting there, as soon as I told her what they were going to do, she started to cry and suddenly was able to go! I know that's kind of gross, but it was pretty funny too.

I'm exhausted but glad that there's nothing seriously wrong, but also frustrated that there's nothing we can do to make her feel better. They did give us the option of admitting her to the hospital for overnight observation and I thought very seriously about it, but decided she can always go back if she gets worse. She is spending the night at my mom's house tonight so I can get some rest, because my boss is coming into town tomorrow.

Well my computer updated itself and keeps prompting me to restart, so you are all spared any more poop talk for now. (Hooray!!)

OK, I am NOT letting my SIL near my child. Mike just spoke to his mother. His sister did get married to a guy she has known TWO WEEKS (this is not the guy we originally thought she married). Her friend did a background check on this guy and he is a convicted rapist (he raped his ex wife).

She had told my MIL that she was going to Fort Meyers, but that was a lie and she ran off to Vegas. She did call my MIL and apologized for lying and said she had gotten married.

WTH is wrong with people??? I just can't wrap my mind around how someone could do this.


On another note, my MIL told Mike that she thinks we should move. She said whenever we give her the OK, she will be up here with a Uhaul. I am REALLY thinking it might be best to just move.

I am so mad right now!!! The teacher just emailed me about the meeting. It was determined that it needs to go up against another group to make a determination to go ahead with the testing. I am trying to calm myself so I will have enough control when I go up to school in a bit to speak with the principal. I cannot believe this BS! My child doesn't want to go to school because she feels dumb and embarrassed because she cannot complete her work as fast as the other kids. Their problem is she is smart, right at grade level for everything else she just can't cannot write and communicate at the same rate as her peers.

Emma is sick again - tummy stuff this time. My mom is waiting on a call back from the dr. to see if we should take her in or go to urgent care. Last night it took Emma over 4 hours to "go" - and that was after taking her Miralax. This morning, she had the opposite problem and without getting too gross here, I'll just say it was definitely not normal color or consistency, and not related to anything she ate. Her regular pediatrician just kind of blows it off and says to give her water or Miralax, but it's been probably over a year since the child has had a normal bowel movement and I think she needs some sort of tests done to make sure everything is working properly. My mom is doing the calling (but I will take off from work if she needs to go to urgent care) and I asked her to be sure to mention that is a chronic problem and to push for some tests. I hope it's nothing serious, but I just feel so bad for the poor kid. She should not have to be in so much pain whenever she has to go - she was crying and screaming most of the evening yesterday.

Poor Emma! That poor princess has been through the wringer lately!!!

Thank you that website is very informative. Now if only I could find a good site that explains the whole process that we have been going through. The ins an outs and what comes next. Part of the frustration has been not knowing what steps need to be taken and not having anyone to answer our questions.

Doesn't it stink with nothing being on TV. I sure hope that writers strike is over soon I want my shows back. I think tomorrow may be a new Greys Anatomy! I almost want to savor it and not fast forward through all the commercials so it will last longer.

We had omelets for dinner because I haven't felt like grocery shopping. I guess I'm all shopped out from Christmas.
