Good Morning! Ahhh! I'm in a nice quiet house again!:dance3: Actually I miss my girls being home.:guilty:

Britt gave me a note this morning that needed to be signed. It was a warning for throwing snowballs at the bus stop. Now I know for a fact that she was not in on it because she walks out the door just in time to catch the bus, not a second sooner. I refused to sign it and told her I needed to talk to the principal. Come to find out that the principal knows Britt was not one of the kids but she gave all the kids a warning slip. I told her that there has been a ton of problems with the bus stop this year because they did away with at least on of the stops. So there are now 16 kids at one stop. She did not know that and is going to talk to the bus yard to get the other stop back. Too many kids in one place with nothing to do IMO. So we'll see what happens.

Maddie went to school in tears this morning. She didn't want to go back to school because she said she hates being the slowest kid in the class. She said it takes her so long to think that she always is the last one done. She said she hates being stupid. :sad1: I had to explain to her that because her papers get turned in last does not make her stupid that in fact she is incredibly smart. So in her mind she doesn't feel like she is smart enough to measure up with the other kids. :sad2: No wonder she is giving up.:guilty: I have scheduled a meeting with her teacher this afternoon and tomorrow is the TAT meeting to determine if the school will "formally" test her.

I should have the results back in the next few days as to where Maddie falls on the scale. I talked to the therapist today and she again said she will definitely benefit from therapy, however until she has the scores she will not know how severe the areas are that she needs help in. Now even tho this is a step in the right direction, I have learned not to let myself get to excited yet.:sad2: In order for her to get insurance o.k. for the private it has to be found to be medically necessary, and for the school to help they have to decide to test her and she has to fall under their guidelines. So that could mean we're back where we started. :guilty:

So for now I will celebrate that we are one step closer and have some testing out of the way. :dance3: :yay: :cool1: :cheer2: Thanks guys for your support as it really means a lot!

Lesa, I'm glad Maddie's tests were ok today and its getting taken care of. I know, I want to be there NOW, (even though it has warmed up some here, but the temp is going back down this weekend.) I wish this month was over already! :lmao:

Thank you! I bet your getting excited! I'm getting excited with you.

Lesa- I'm glad Maddie's test went well!

I met with the girl from the CP today and I spent 4 and a half hours over at her house! She gave me some great advice!

Thank you! I'm glad you found someone to talk to that has gone through the program before. I think your going to love it! I might have to hit you up to get me some of the Cast Exclusives! ;) I miss being able to buy those.

Does anybody know if when I change my location I'll lose my tags?? I don't want that to happen after I waited a long time for them!
You can change your location, just if you try to delete a tag or change one you will lose them.

I'm not sure. Is it it dorky that I want to put "Orlando FL" for my location??
Not Dorky! I wish I could change mine to Orlando!!!

Lesa:: That's such a relief that getting help for Maddie is taking a positive turn.
I'm glad Britt was already home from school and didn't have to go back to lockdown.
It is a relief! Thank you! It's nice to know that the school will call right away in case of a problem like that.

Lesa...woohoo...I'm so glad you finally had Maddies evalution! :yay: I'm so glad she will get the therapy she needs! Give yourself a pat on the back for sticking to your guns and getting her the eval! Sorry she is wheezing again...the weather is fixing to change again.:sad2: We've been doing better on our symbicort this week, DS was coughing a little but otherwise doing ok.
Thank you! It's amazing what parents have to go through to get help for their children. Still so many kids fall through the cracks. I dread weather change! She is doing a little better today, at least she was able to sleep better. Did you say you've noticed a big change with the Symbicort too? I hate that it doesn't have a count down for the doses! Glad the weather missed you guys!

Later on in the thread, they announced they named her (the doll) Celeste - which means "from the Heavens".
Very sweet!

I think she just did.

Do I deny it? Or confess?
Fess up!

Amber...That is plain crazy at Mike's work! Things will work out for the best, just concentrate on getting that little bun out of the oven!
:cloud9:

oooooh!! I can play that part to perfection!!! :joker: :goofy:

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Actually I don't think I'd say anything as it seems more magical for them not knowing. :goodvibes Not that they wouldn't be thrilled to know you sent it.

oooooh!! I can play that part to perfection!!! :joker: :goofy:
you're funny! :rotfl:

Lesa - poor Maddie. It makes me so sad for her to read what she's going through at school, and her struggles. :flower3: Good luck with your meeting with the teacher. It sounds to me like things finally might be on the right track for you, though.

Good afternoon everyone!!!

Hope you guys are managing to stay awake today! :lmao:

Good news!- The court gave Jeremiah's company 30 more days before they re-evaluate again for Chapter 7. So that means 2 more paychecks :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Of course we will be gone before the 30 days is up but I'm not pointing that out to them just yet......:rolleyes1

Pozey- If I were you I wouldn't say anything. It does seem more magical that way!

Lesa- Poor Maddie. :grouphug: My heart breaks for her, she's struggled so much. Tell her not to feel so bad. All throughout school I had to get special help for math. I felt so stupid and embarrassed everytime I had to go to tutoring. In face in college I had to take developmental courses to move on to college level algebra. There are 3 developmental courses and the first one I had to take 3 times in order to finally pass! I gave up, bad I know. For Travel and Tourism, you can take algebra or some other kind of math, so I guess I'll take anything but algebra. If you want anything you know I'll get it for you!

Ashley- That's good that the place where Jeremiah works isn't declaring chapter 7 just yet.

Oh, DznyFan, sorry you had such a rough night. I really didn't wake up until Gary left for work at 5am!! It absolutely poured outside!!

pozey:: Your post from your friends about the tree topper was great! What an awesome thing for you to do!
Thanks so much for supplying the syrup this morning!!:woohoo:

lyzziesmom:: WAKE UP!! Yikes!! You had a lot to try to remember this morning!! I hope your day got better.

Lesa:: My heart just broke when you said Maddie didn't want to go to school this morning.:guilty: I know how hard you're trying to get her the help she needs!

Ashley:: Hey!! Great news about Jeremiah's soon-to-be-former employer!! Get everything out of them you can!! We won't tell!!:rolleyes1

Nicole:: Hi!! How's your afternoon so far?

Nathan got off a 2pm this afternoon and I didn't have to go back to work. Woo-Hoo!!

Hi, Donna!!

Ashley - that is good news that he'll be getting more paychecks. Yeah, I'd keep mum about leaving, too!

I can't believe it!! I just lost my post!!! Where did it go??? :badpc::mad:

Ahhhhh! I am relaxing a little more tonight.:cheer2: I ended up meeting with the teacher after school. We talked for over an hour about Maddie. Tomorrow's meeting she expects will get the go ahead to get the testing done. She said most of the group has voiced the necessity of it. I also found out it is a thorough testing that will be done. I did not know that before as I thought it was strictly speech and language. This will be much more helpful! We also discussed some other options if this falls through. One being implementing a 504 plan. I told her that I had just found out about the 504 recently and needed to have Madison put on it for her Asthma. The teacher about jumped out of her seat. She said she'd never though about it before, but this may be a quick answer for the time being if we can get it implemented for this year. In it we can request that Madison needs longer to complete tests and such because of her Asthma. It's not an overall fix, but will help take the some of the anxiety off Madison. :dance3:

She also said Maddie had a pretty good day today. The therapist gave her a "thinking" ball yesterday. It's basically a squishy ball for her to use to keep her on task. She said she didn't know if it actually helped or if it was a security thing, but Madison seemed more relaxed and on task. She said she actually completed an assignment before the time was up and Madison was very excited. :yay: :yay: I also told the teacher how heartbreaking it was to send her to school today.:guilty:

So for now I can get up and celebrate for the accomplishments we have made thus far! :dance3: :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :woohoo: :cool1: Everything is looking good!:thumbsup2

Lesa: That is great news all around about Maddie! Your persistence is really starting to pay off. Congrats!

Good evening!

Michele...You poor thing! Your a mess!!!!

Maddie's test went really well.:cool1: I was able to stay in the room and watch the testing. I should have the full report sometime this week, but the therapist said that without even adding the scores up she can see where Madison's problems are. She said she definitely recommends therapy. So I will know more when I get the report back.
Yippee! I'm so glad you are one step closer and that someone finally recognized that there was/is a problem!!!!

Yes.

I did something for a couple of people anonymously. Just before Christmas, a couple of people from the OU Board that I post on had a Christmas tree accident.

Their tree fell over and they had a ceramic Angle doll as a tree topper. And it was smashed. So....I found a replacement and mailed it to them. It arrived in their mail today.
Oh, that is so sweet and thoughtful!!!

Hey, I think it was actually Stephanie who said "How Rude" ;)

Anybody want to see the view from our new apartment? My Mom went there this weekend to take some pics of the property...This is the view from our balcony!
view.jpg

Look at all the GREEN!! My Mom said she saw some turtles in the lake too. And she heard there were alligators :scared: :scared: I'll have to be careful when I'm walking Ruby.
I stand corrected on my Full House comment! I haven't seen that show in years!
Your new apartment complex looks beautiful!

Yes, come keep me company! I'll have to take you over to Company D and Property Control, I think we can take non CM's there. My friend showed me a snowglobe she got there for $8 originally and if you didn't look directly at the top, you couldn't even tell that Zazu's head was missing.

Seriously, if anyone wants me to get them anything while I'm down there, all you have to do is ask!
You knooooow we will be hitting you up....:rolleyes1 And probably coming to visit...

By the way......here is the reaction from my OU friends regarding the tree topper I sent them....

I am sitting here in TEARS.....
I hope my roomie isn't going to be upset because she is still at work. BUT, I arrived home and found a package on the front porch addressed to Becky and jjsooner. The return address simply stated tree topper.

I opened the box, unwrapped all of the bubble wrap, and found a BEAUTIFUL tree topper. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Of course there is no note to let me know who sent it.

Who ever sent it...THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. There are no words to express my gratitude to a person who would be so very kind in sending such a wonderful gift. If you sent it or you know who sent it, PLEASE tell me so I can thank you/them properly.

I'll have JJ post pictures of her when she gets home.

Later on in the thread, they announced they named her (the doll) Celeste - which means "from the Heavens".
That gives me chills! They were obviously so touched!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!!

I have plenty of syrup.....I've got Butter Rich, Strawberry, and Blueberry.......I also have some peanut butter for those who enjoy that on their waffles.....
I'll take the peanut butter!!!!

I had a bus stop like that. It was NOT fun! I hope they add the second stop back in!
That breaks my heart about Miss Maddie! Shes a tough cookie and she will pull through with the support she gets from her family.

504s can be a pain, but they will certainly be helpful! Just keep on the butt of the school to get it done, they can drag their feet there as well. I have one student on 504 for asthma and he misses a lot of school when the weather is acting up. He gets extra time in those instances.

I feel like I should have more to say...but I don't! Nothing new here!

Good evening!! Anybody around tonight?

hey, pozey. I'm sorta here. Let's see just how many tasks I can multitask.... I'm listening to Epcot music, watching Diner, Drive Ins and Dives, restoring photos and now talking to you.....
