They did alright. Chase kinda got tired during his later races since breakfast was on the run.

Hey everyone...how about some donuts and coffee?

Good morning!

Donna I hope you didn't get hit with all that sleet and ice! We got just a little bit of freezing rain.

Thanks YM for the yummy breakfast! All of it! DH wanted bacon this morning, normally I make him grill it because I cannot stand the smell. He refused to shovel so he could get to the grill :confused3 so I told him to try to bake it in the oven then. Hopefully my house won't catch fire! :scared:

DH is going pheasant hunting this afternoon. :scared: One of our neighbors goes all the time and invited David along. He's only been deer hunting so hopefully he won't shoot my neighbors dog by accident.:scared1:

I think the girls and I are going to attempt to make some fudge. Dh was excited because he thought it was going to be his mom's fudge. I told him it wasn't because I can't ever seem to make anything but chocolate syrup. So we will try the Eagle brand quick method!;)

Have a great day! :)

good morning all!!!

It's rainy and icky this morning. We had thunderstorms, believe it or not. My mom called around 9am to make sure I wasn't out in the ice????:confused3 That's one thing about St. Louis-----you can be 1/2 hour away from an area and the weather is completely different.

I am making a family chicken recipe to bring to the hospital today. There is a nice bistro there, but it is closed on weekends, so my dad, grandpa, aunts, and anyone else who is there is forced to eat at the cafeteria, which is :scared:.

I had a really strange dream last night. I had a dalmation (which I used to have years ago) and I was taking her to what was supposed to be a dog show???? Anyway, I went up to the registration and the lady told me that I should have her get a pumpkin massage.:confused3 :confused3 :rotfl: I told her that she has too many allergies for that. At least I was thinking in my dream. Oh, and there was a cute boy, too.:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Ash---I bought my camera at a small camera shop in town and I got a case at a good price. It is a Promaster.......something like this....

8759.jpg

but, to be honest with you, in WDW, I put the camera directly into the baggelini that I was carrying with a spare set of charged batteries.

As far as other accessories, I definitely got some additional rechargable batteries with a charger, but nothing else that I can think of right now.:confused3 I think the case and the batteries were the most important to me.

Donna----oh, don't I wish I could hop a plane right now. You'll just have to enjoy it for me. I know you will. How did Gary take the news of you and Nathan leaving him behind??
Congrats to Nathan on his game and good luck to him today.

Oh, YM, YM, YM!!!!!

:faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:
Love it, love him, just love all around!!!:lmao:
This is his Sweeney Todd look, or the aftermath thereof. yummmmmmm!!!!!!!
so did you ask DH if you can stick around Christmas day to see it with me????:rotfl2:

I'll only do your brows if you become a skincare client.:rolleyes1 :lmao: :rolleyes1 Sad, huh?? I know, I know.

Lesa---Maddie's in the closet again???? I laughed out loud at your story about blaming you for punishing her.:rotfl2:

Lyzziesmom----send Emma over to decorate my tree for me, will ya???? It is still sitting here undecorated and I don't know where I'll find the time to finish.

Pozey----hello stranger. You are :surekeepingmeupdatedonmyreadingskillsandtryingnottocrossmyeyes:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Of course we noticed our man not present the past couple of days.

gotta run------have to check the chicken. (that sounds disgusting)

have a good Sunday.:dance3:

Hi, Lesa!

Sounds like you have a fun day planned. Send some fudge my way when you and the girls are done!!popcorn::
Have you taken them to see "Enchanted"? That would be a fun thing to do while DH is gone.:woohoo:

Thankfully we didn't get freezing rain!! I heard it raining really hard this morning and was afraid it was sleet.:scared:

Nathan has a game today at 2:15. He plays against his school's other 3rd grade team. The cheering section ought to be pretty interesting. I might want to video tape this game!!

Hi, 2x2s!! You must have posted while I was taking f o r e v e r to type.
Gary knew that I was wanting to go to WDW for a couple of days; I just didn't know how that was going to work. Gary couldn't take off any more Mondays from work, because one of his coworkers has already claimed most of the Mondays in December. It came to me like a vision one night to take Nathan with me!! I had almost talked myself out of it on Thursday, but Gary pointed out that I would regret not going. I'm afraid that day is going to come all too quickly when my little boy won't want to be seen with his old mom, I had better grasp the moment!!!
It did cost the extra airfare, but I got a really good rate at CBR with a $50 dining card. Nathan and I are just doing counter service, so that may get us through most of the trip.:teeth:

Your chicken sounds delicious!! What a thoughtful thing for you to do for your family!!:goodvibes

Lesa: We got freezing rain AND sleet. My driveway is a solid sheet of ice - I'm afraid to leave the house! My mom makes bacon in the microwave, she just puts it on a paper towel, puts the whole thing on a plate and zaps it. The kids like it that way and they only like crispy bacon, so it must be okay. I'm with you, I can't stand the smell of the stuff. Yummm, crispy strips of pig fat. :scared:

That's one thing about St. Louis-----you can be 1/2 hour away from an area and the weather is completely different.

Yep here too. Yesterday my mom was talking about all the freezing rain all over town (her house, my DB's house (less than a mile from mine) and across the state line) but I didn't get any here. She thought I was lying. However we got it all night long and a good part of the morning.

Lyzziesmom----send Emma over to decorate my tree for me, will ya????

Sure! As long as you don't mind all the ornaments being stuck on the very tippy tips of the branches, and all on the bottom 2.5 feet, and the garland in one big lump. :teeth:

Donna: Your quick weekend is going to be SO much fun! I was hoping for the dining card deal too since we just do CS (unless we get free dining) but I think it only went through the end of Dec so that didn't work for us. Phooey.

Oh...we are getting the ice. This is what my yaupon holly tree looked like this morning. It's still raining here and much is freezing on the trees and power lines. We are up north of Tulsa. I don't think it's near as bad in south Tulsa where my Okie buddies are? Pozey...DznyFan...are things starting to ice up?
2x...I noticed only parts of St Louis were icey...they are always talking about the I-44 corridor which goes right through St Louis and Tulsa.

Um... are all your trees sideways?

As Emma would say: Treeeee, not s'posed to beeee sidewaaaa-aaaays.

hi kiddies!!!
WHERE'S MICHELE??????!!!!!!!:flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

Here I am!!! Sorry guys, I think I have just gotten in a rut or something. I have been reading everyone's posts but haven't posted myself.

I had a doctor's appointment this morning. I gained weight  but I am still under my pre-pregnancy weight. I get to have more blood tests and I have another appointment in two weeks. She said everything looked good.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

I'm so glad the doctor says everything is looking good!!

ERRRRRRR!!! My darling daughter makes it so hard to teach a lesson to! Our rule for her in middle school is...if you try your best and get below a B, great! However if you don't put any effort into school and bring home below a B your grounded until next progress report comes out and you've brought it up above a B. Tough I know, but trust me, with even the smallest of effort this child is a straight A student. ;) Well since the beginning of this year she has put forth not an ounce of effort. She's only brought home maybe 5 pieces of homework all year, and has not studied for one test. In fact she has brought home several tests to be signed. So she's been counting down the days until her report card comes home cause she knows she's going to be grounded. She brings her report card home and darn it if she didn't get all A's & B's and is on the honor roll again!:scared1: How can we teach her the importance of studying if she never has to and still is able to pull being on the honor roll. :headache: Damn kid! :rotfl2:

Poor Lesa:rotfl2: Kids will always do things like that to you.

I had a surprise tonight! I've been telling Jeremiah for months that I wanted my engagement ring resized. Since he gave it to me, I gained some weight and it made it uncomfortable to wear, so I just never did.

Well tonight on his way home he called to tell me he finally got it resized. I was really excited and happy because I love wearing it! When he walked through the door he gave me a box, and I opened it and the stone was missing!

I was shocked and my face looked like this:  He said "Oh no!!! I didn't look at it when I left the store. They must have forgotten to put the stone back in!" After I freaked out for a second he pulled another box from his pocket and gave it to me! :lmao: He definitely tricked me good! He ended up using my stone and putting it in a new setting. I love it, it matches my wedding ring MUCH better!! When we got married I didn't think of matching it because I just never wore my engagement ring.

My husband is so sweet to me. (Besides the tricking!!) What a great anniversary present!

How sweet of him to get your ring reset:love: I want to see a picture of it.

Well...to answer your question about today...today was a very big day at work for me. I was my boss's last day! Would anyone like to celebrate with me?:rockband: :dancer: party:

Oh...2x you need to go check out the eye candy thread...lots of new JD pics!

Hurray for YM!!!:cool1:

Yep!! Nathan and I are leaving for WDW next Saturday morning!! I REALLY tried to make something work out for YM's birthday, but just couldn't make it work.:sad2:

We will fly down on Saturday and fly home on Monday afternoon, but we get to see the castle!!!:dance3:

Oh.....we're staying at the Caribbean Beach.:goodvibes

Oh Donna, I am so jealous!! How fun for you and Nathan to spend time alone together!!

Good morning!

Donna I hope you didn't get hit with all that sleet and ice! We got just a little bit of freezing rain.

Oh Lord! David's going out hunting again!?!? The heck with the neighbors dog, watch out for the neighbor!!

Oh that reminds me:idea: I need Mom to make me some of her fudge! Cause I haven't gained enough weight this year!!:rolleyes1 :sad2:

Oh my gosh!! Your poor tree! I hope it isn't damaged and can straighten out when the weight is off.

Friday night Blake and I went downtown to the Opera House to see The Lion King. It was amazing! Blake was funny tho. On the drive home I was asking him how he liked it. He said it was good but that he liked the cartoon better:rotfl2: So guess what we watched yesterday morning??

Last night was his company Christmas party. It was kind of strange tho. First the party is for the 2 plants that are here. One is where Blake works adnd has some assembly but all of the sales offices. The other one is in the thumb of Michigan and has mainly assembly. But since we are one 'family' we have one party. So the party is about 1/2 way between the 2 plants. So everyone has a bit of a drive. Blake's boss worries a lot about people drinking and driving. Everyone gets a coupon for 2 free drinks and they have to be used before dinner. After that it is a cash bar for any alcohol, all soft drinks, etc are free. And to keep everyone busy he tries to have entertainment during the evening to keep some people from drinking too much. Last night he had a magician. He went table to table before dinner and did small bits then did a whole show for all of us after dinner. He was really lame tho. Then some actors came in and did a Murder Mystery It was OK but went way too long. No one could visit and talk with each other because you had to watch this THING going on around the room. Then we all had to guess who dun it

As soon as the mystery thing was over the boss spoke for a while, then prizes were handed out. Since Blake can't win any of those, I never pay too close of attention to that part;) The prizes weren't as good this year. They bought every employee a gift basket, with chocolates, coffees and teas. Since they were kind of expensive the big gifts weren't as big. This year the biggest prize was a $250 gift card. In past years it was as high as $500 plus 2 plane tickets anywhere. Plus they give away quite a few vacation days.

I never wear heels anymore and my feet are killing me today. I wish it was warm enough to wear flip flops!!

Matt's basketball team has lost both of their games so far but Matt is doing well. Hopefully they will win soon.

Have a great day!!

YourMajesty!!! Oh My!!! You are getting it WAY worse than we are!!

No ice at my house!! Just a little rain and mist!!
