Had an interesting talk today.....

Marble Slab is open (I learned last week as the Diva wanted Marble Slab after one of her shows) just closed for Thanksgiving. I wasn't surprised.... just disappointed.

How were their performances last weekend? It was last weekend right?

I may have to go by the Marble Slab Friday evening....after swim practice maybe....

Well we just had our 'Thanksgiving'! I cooked a ham steak with some butter and brown sugar and it was very good and sweet, and I made some homemade mac and cheese that was tasty. Now I'm making the pretzel salad!!!

I'm sad we didn't have turkey or mashed potatoes, but there is always Christmas where we will be with family! I've been craving my Grandma's mashed potatoes & gravy ALL DAY!!!

The caramel pie was to die for! I think next time I might use a shortbread crust tho. The graham cracker made it a little too sweet for me.

Funny turkey story..........


Dh was helping me "dress" the bird this morning. I stuffed it while he held on to it. I don't touch dead bird! Anyway....I told him since his hands were already touching the bird, he got to massage it. I turned to get the spices and butter out and when I turned around......he was massaging the bird! OMG I was laughing so hard! He couldn't figure out why I was laughing. I told him he was supposed to massage the butter and spice in.

I'm letting the kids stay up WAY past their bedtime tonight (mostly in hopes I can sleep in tomorrow) and they are crawling around pretending to be cats with yarn tails tied around their waists. The amount of yowling in this house could pierce one's eardrums! We're going to have some strawberry smoothies and then it's off to bed for them, and maybe a little wine for me. It is a holiday, after all.

GREAT pictures pozey and YM! I showed the pics to Lyzzie and she's still pretty pleased about her arranged hookup with Colton.
