I'm getting ready to tackle the turkey. I'm now wondering why I didn't just buy the turkey breast. I remember now, the kids were upset when I mentioned turkey breast because they wouldn't be able to make a wish on the wish bone.

We still have the tradition of going around the table before prayers at Thanksgiving dinner and saying something we are thankful for. I am thankful for my kids, my strength and my friends -- you guys are the best!

Michele: Did Lilly like seeing Santa? I hope they got some pictures! Those kids sure are acting mature, letting everyone in on the fun. I'm not sure I would have been able to do that.

Nicole: I used to never remember when movies came out, but Lyzzie makes sure I know. She practically had a countdown until Enchanted's opening day! And she and her best friend had a squeal-fest the other day because Hairspray was out on video -- which reminds me, we have to return it to Blockbuster today. I had it in the car yesterday and forgot to stop by to drop it off!

Oh no, you broke a snowman? I'm glad you didn't get in trouble. I'm sure it happens all the time. My first job was in the mall at a store that sold $2, $3, $5 and $10 items. Employees broke stuff all the time, because we were allowed to take home broken merchandise at the end of the day. They would "lose" pieces to a set, and then the next day "lose" different pieces of another set so they'd end up with a full set of whatever it was. Bunch of thieves! It was commonly known that there was no security at that store, and the theft rate was sky high. Ahhh, memories.

Yesterday at Target I kept telling the girls not to touch all the ornaments, and then I accidentally bumped one and it fell and broke! Two employees ran right over to clean it up and they were very nice and just wanted to make sure nobody stepped on the pieces and got hurt. I was so embarrassed! We did buy a cute blown glass Tink ornament. I go crazy over Christmas stuff, I'm trying so hard not to this year but I'm starting to get the "spirit" so I'd better leave my credit cards at home!

Usually I would start decorating this week, but I forgot to ask my dad to haul all my stuff out of the basement before they left for Minnesota and I can't do it myself so I guess it'll have to wait. I'm anxious to find out if my tree survived the flooding we had down there, I think the light cords got wet and I assumed they'd be fried, but my parents seem to think they'll be ok. All I know is, I'M not going to be the one plugging it in!

You know...they usually need access to the attic and it can get hot up there...I'm thinking someone similar to this for the job.........................................

I'll send him over just as soon as he's done hanging my lights and trimming my tree.

Donna: I hope your mom is ok! And the dog too. My mom stepped on her dog's foot the other day. The dog has been limping for 4 days and Mom just says, "Oh she'll be fine, she's just babying it for attention."

I have only worked at Yankee Candle two days and I already broke something!!!! We have a really small stockroom and I was putting a piece of cardboard in the trash and I heard something fall to the floor. I broke a snowman! So I picked up the pieces and took it out to the manager and told him what happened. I thought he was going to be mad but he wasn't.

You poor thing. I'm sure things get broken all the time in a store like that. I'm glad your boss didn't get mad at you.

DS's friend fell on my son's ankle. It rolled and hurt but he's fine!
