BONUS! When I filled my Rx at Target, the cashier was very nice and gave me an extra "goodie bag" left over from when they were giving flu shots. I think she felt bad that they don't carry one of my meds -- no biggie, I'll just go to the other Target. I just opened it too see what's inside, and it has a travel pack of tissues, some generic Airborne, some Vitamin C, some hand sanitizer, and a coupon for a $10 gift card with my next Rx! Which I have to go get today at the other Target! AND, when I got the first Rx today I used the same coupon that my mom gave me from her newspaper (since I don't get the paper) so that's an extra $20 earned today!!

I'm saving up all these gift cards for Xmas shopping to make it slightly less painful. I did get a few stocking stuffers from the $1 spot today.


Are any of you familiar with the DS game "Brain Age 2"? Is it for kids, or just for adults? I saw a bundle packaged with the DS, a carrying case, and Brain Age 2 for $149.99. Is that a good price? I think the DS alone is usually $130 and I am thinking of getting it for Lyzzie, but I don't know if that's a good game for her or not.

Plans for the weekend- I'm going to do some Christmas shopping...and thats probably it!!! I was spoiled from last week when Jeremiah had a 4 day weekend- but atleast he gets another one next week!!

I still have a cold though It's getting alittle better but not much!!

The man did not survive his accident, he was only 27 and leaves behind his wife, who is pregnant with their first child. His BIL is still in critical condition with burns to 35% of his body. His wife is also expecting their first child. This is just so sad. They interviewed my minister on the news about it, and it was so touching.

Gotta run out the door, going to see Into the Woods tonight at one of our district high schools.

Oh Lin, that's awful news! That poor family and he didn't even get to see his baby born. My thoughts and prayers are definitely with that family and I will keep the BIL in my thought and prayers for a full recovery!

Thanks for the offer, but they don't make it in her size, only in infant and toddler sizes. We went to the other Target after work to get my other Rx, and the only dress that Lyzzie liked is a red one with a white collar that looks like a Mrs. Santa dress. Maybe we'll have better luck at the consignment shop - they always have beautiful holiday dresses that have only been worn once or twice! I always try to find ones that don't look so "Christmasy" so they can wear them for other occasions too.

I tried on a couple dresses too and remembered that Target dresses don't fit me! They are apparently made for women with tiny waists and huge balloons. At least that's what I tell myself when the dress is tight in the middle and loose up top. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the eggnog and the peppermint ice cream.

Lin: That's so sad about that family. I can't even imagine.

I hope Nicole is having a good time! I was thinking of her this morning when I stepped outside and it was 34 degrees, and I thought "Hmmm, it's not that cold."

We just got back from the mall. I have most of my Christmas shopping done now!! This year I'm not getting quite as much as I did last year- I hope people aren't mad. I only have to get stuff for my Dad, Grandfather and 2 Aunts........ But my Dad and Grandpa are easy, I think I'm just going to get them giftcards.


Nicole sent me a picture message with the castle in it!! I am JEALOUS. The castle looks even more gorgeous with those lights, if thats even possible!! She said the weather is chilly down there.

Oh I would so love to see the castle with all the lights. When I first heard about it, I must admit I thought it would look stupid or tacky. But I just love it! It looks like it's covered in sparkly ice, so beautiful. Add me to the jealous list!

Good morning!!! The first thing I did this morning was turn up the thermostat!! I almost hate to admit it, but I do kind of like this time of year. After Christmas, I hate the cold.

My mom, sis, niece and I are making our annual Christmas shopping trip tomorrow. What this really means is that I pick out things for them to buy Nathan and Cassie picks out something for me to buy her. I usually end up with one present bought and everyone else is finished. Oh,well, we have a good tme anyway.


Lin:: My heart goes out to the family of the accident victim. I can't begin to imagine what the family must be feeling right now.


lyzziesmom:: Good luck shopping today. I'm sure you will find something cute for the girls. I just love the velvets and colors That are available this time of year, but agree, you wouldn't want anything too Christmasy(?)!.

Hey!! Good for you that you've almost got your Christmas shopping done!! I KNOW I'm cutting way back this year on the presents. Nathan usually just has a couple of things that he REALLY wants and then I feel bad and buy him extra stuff that he doesn't care about anyway.

thanks for asking....well...
yesterday when we showered, the hot water worked, but now its kind of lukewarm when I washed my hands. so... I have to give it the shower test maybe we just used up what was left in the tank? since we are leaving Thurs I dont know when we can get it fixed! yikes!

I was up at 6 worrying about it but I think I am going back to bed for a while.
DH's band is playing a benefit for a sick biker, we have to leave at 2. On a happy note, the weather here is awesome! 62 right now and warming up to the 70's later. I will have to time my shower for when its warmer

Whew- I am home and exhausted!!! We've been gone since 2:30, and I think I may have overdid it- I am still sick and am feeling it right now!!...BUT, I got ALL my Christmas shopping done- with the exception of needing a copy of a picture made and a picture frame Jeremiah isn't quite done with his family- but almost!!!

I also got another dress for the cruise (on clearance for $13 at Target!!!) and earrings and Jeremiah got a nice pair of khakis. I almost got some shoes but chickened out- I never seem to be able to make up my mind!!!!

Well I did not find Xmas dresses for the girls, but I still managed to blow the budget for the week anyway. For the dresses, we decided to get that one at Target for Emma and Lyzzie can wear last year's dress (for the 3rd year in a row). She loves it, and it still fits so why not? The consignment shop said they pretty much sold out of holiday dresses a couple weeks ago. I wasn't ready for the holidays yet a couple weeks ago, how dare they?! We did get a couple things, and most importantly (to Emma) a Wiggles DVD which she has been waiting all day to watch.

After shopping, we went to lunch and stuffed ourselves silly at Zios, our favorite Italian place. They have the best fresh bread and olive oil with dipping spices. We had a peppermint & chocolate ice cream cake for dessert. We are still so full nobody even wants dinner!

From there we filled up the Cwooozah!s tank and got a car wash (of course it now has a nice big splotch of bird poop on the back bumper!) then we went to the movies to see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It was really cute!

Lyzzie has been wanting what she calls "glittens" - those fingerless gloves that have a flap on them that turns them into mittens. One of her friends said she got hers at the Limited Too for $5, so off to the mall we went, only to find out they are $11.50. Sorry, but that's not gonna happen. We checked out a few more stores (including TDS of course!) and finally found some at Claire's for $5.

I can tell the holiday shopping has started. Not only is there more merchandise on the shelves (and less good sales) but the mall was packed!

Ugh -- when we got home, I noticed Roxy licking the tub faucet and sure enough, the cats were out of water so Lyzzie refilled their bowl. A few minutes ago, in the middle of typing this post, I heard Lyzzie screaming from my room. Dusty threw up all her water all over my bedroom floor. Ah, the joys of pets.

So that was our busy day! Tomorrow I think will be a Lazy Sunday -- I have housework to do and I think we will stay in our jammies all day!

Shannon: I hope you have more hot water! I remember living in FL, when it gets into the 60s that is cold! Today was about 65, it was really nice and we went out without coats.

Ashley: That dress is really cute! I'm so jealous -- dresses from Target NEVER fit me. They make me look like a potato in a dress. The only dresses I can wear are from Kohl's, and they only sometimes even carry dresses.
