Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Does anyone know if the people at CRO can see how any times you've called them and what for? :rolleyes1 I called to confirm everything with them and when the lady transfered me to dining because I somehow lost my ADR conf. numbers, the person wouldn't give them to me! She said to just get them from the resort. I need those numbers! I think I'll call back later on tonight.

That's crazy! I have never heard of them not giving out your confirmation numbers. I'd call again if I were you, and I hate to call about things! You wouldn't want to wait until you get there and then find out there's a problem. When did you call, was it over the weekend? I've heard rumors that the weekend staff is usually newer CMs, because the ones who have been around a while don't have to work on the weekends but the new ones do (or something like that). Good luck! I could call for you as your travel planner, it'll only cost you a plane ticket and a couple extra blankets & pillows and a little bit of floor space. ;)

I am so mad at my mom. (Feel free to skip the upcoming mom-rant.)

Emma brought home a note from her teacher last week mentioning (among other things) that she's anxious to see tomorrow how all the kids decorated their paper turkey feathers. I just saw the note today, and the project is due tomorrow. I asked my mom what that was about -- since she always says she leaves checking Emma's backpack up to me -- and she said, "Uh oh, she was supposed to do something with that? I threw it out." She also threw out the paper explaining the assignment. Arrrrgggggh!! Either save the backpack for me or don't, but don't decide what's trash without reading the flyers!! Drives me nuts. I'm paying for this preschool, this is her first "homework" assignment, and my mom threw it away!!

Good morning, crew!

Sorry, I'm way, way, way behind......

this photo thing has got pretty much 100% of my attention. The problem is, I'm going way back, and still am missing LOTS of photos. I spent my weekend moving files, and working in Photoshop, and uploading. I have a stack of photos with me today for scanning. From there is correction and in many cases, restoration. Well, I'm scanning at random, and here is one that I thought ya'll might get a kick out of..... the desire to be Belle goes back to a very early age.

well, back to work! If I don't respond to posts personally, please forgive me. Kind of distracted, and I'm afraid I might be that way for a while.... *sigh*. What have I gotten myself into?

What a cute photo DznyFan! Did somebody make that dress for her? It doesn't look as "frilly" as the WDW ones - very nice. I am in awe of you taking on and accomplishing such a huge project, I know it can be very overwhelming.

I was just at WalMart and got a great deal on some photo paper - 75 sheets of premium 4x6 paper for $5.00. The package had been opened and it looks like someone actually stuffed extra sheets into it, the sides were positively bulging! They also had a stack of 25-sheet packs of "everyday" photo paper for $2.00 -- I had to pull out all my willpower not to buy the whole stack at that price. I'm considering going back after work, if they're still there then it was meant to be, if not, then it wasn't. I'm such a sucker for great deals, and you can never have too much photo paper, right? Right?!

I love this time of year for one reason above all others -- egg nog! I was flabbergasted to see that the little pint-sized egg nog snack I just had was supposed to be FOUR servings. There goes my calories for the day! Nevertheless, it's so yummy I can't resist.

It's such a gray day here. Very overcast, looks like it's going to rain any minute but there's no rain forecasted (as if that means anything!) and it seems like the air itself is gray. Unfortunately I don't have the day off. I wish I did, I would so love to crawl under the covers and go back to sleep.

omg I'm so far behind! uh..we didn't have a very good weekend. Kenny and I were sick the entire time. Didn't leave the house, heck, we didn't even get out of our pj's:rolleyes1  !! Today didn't start out too well either..but starting to feel better. Ok, I started feeling better when my boss asked me to fly to Miami....this week!!:woohoo: :yay: so, that sure perked me up!!! I'm trying to talk Mike into us all going down for a long weekend since the company will be paying for the car and hotel...and my ticket:banana: a weekend in the Keys sounds nice!:cloud9:

Great pic Dznyfan!!! Michele...Lilly looks SO adorable!!!! :woohoo:

Linda- I hope you and Kenny get better soon! Miami sounds like so much fun! Ask Mike if ya''ll can make a quick trip to WDW. :rolleyes1

Dznyfan- What a great pic!

Lyzziesmom- That's terrible your mom threw away the project! I'd be so mad too!

Do any of you know what the heck is the deal with all the dancing pickles in people's signatures? I'm assuming it's like the "boo" and other various holiday things, but I can't figure out why a pickle? I'm afraid to ask anywhere else.

Lyzziesmom- That's terrible your mom threw away the project! I'd be so mad too!

Well it was just a blank paper "turkey feather" - basically a cutout piece of construction paper in sort of a long oval shape. My mom said she made a new one, but I think it's going to be obvious that it's not the same color, shape or size as the one Emma brought home. I told my mom that SHE needs to tell Emma's teacher what happened and make sure to say that SHE threw it out because SHE didn't pay attention.

Linda: WooHoo, a nice tropical weekend! (maybe) Can you believe I lived in SFL for over 15 years and only went to the Keys once? I was about 14 and don't remember a thing. I think we just rented a canoe for a while and went home the next day, I'm pretty sure it was Key Largo.

Linda - ewwww... sorry you and Master Kenny were sick over the weekend. NO fun!! But - a possible trip to Miami?? Now that's got to be fun!

Lyzziesmom - no, your mom shouldn't have thrown that stuff away - that's for you to go through, they're YOUR kids!! I hope I have the patience for this undertaking. It goes pretty fast here, I'm doing a little restoration in between other things. Fortunately I have Photoshop here and at home. It's going to be a fun project. The HUGE undertaking will be when I go to archive and restore everything. The dress obviously was probably purchased about 13 years ago - just a standard "Belle" halloween costume. They didn't used to be as fancy as they are now - especially the ones from Disney!!

So - I was crusing through the threads in Community to find ours, and there was one that said "Does anybody know how to make your pickle smaller?" (or something like that) - I had to do a double-take.... sounded like a personal problem to me.

Good luck this afternoon, Nicole!

Michele - that photo of Lilly is SOOO cute! Such big, beautiful eyes!

More fun, anybody?

Oh, wait... that's my kid.

no...don't one of the countries at wdw have pickle ornaments? Maybe it's something to do w/that??? I have no clue!:rolleyes1

omg...I'd be ticked at your mom too! good luck w/the turkey!

wow..that had to be beautiful!! taking a canoe out in the keys!!!:cloud9:
Of coarse WDW sounds great too! My boss said I can make my ticket for leaving Thurs. morning and coming back Sun. night if I want. Usually it would be Thurs morn. Fri. eve quick down and back...but he knows how much I love FL:rotfl2:

Oh, wait... that's my kid.
no fun, but I'd rather be sick at home than at wdw:laughing: I can't wait. I'll find out tomorrow if it's a "go" or not. Have to find out if the customer site is actually ready, and what their access requirements are. Gotta get on the "list" :woohoo:
yeah, sounds like a personal problem to me too:rotfl2:

great pics!!! That one w/the yellow shirt, you can really tell its her!!:cloud9: too cute:banana:

DznyFan: Those are such great pictures! I love the series of the kids growing up. It really makes you appreciate all the annoying things they do when they're little because you miss it when they don't do them any more. Her visor in the 2nd picture... I remember that WDW logo and I'm so glad they don't use it anymore, it was so ugly! Looks like Erin's always loved the camera.

Ugh, today has been a weird work day. They are getting ready to change phone systems, and today about 1/3 of the employees got new extensions. The old ones were deactivated. Ok fine... except they weren't all done at the same time, and I was not updated as they were being switched. You'd think this is something the receptionist should know, am I wrong? It's made things interesting to say the least. Now I get to put up with a month's worth of people calling and asking for extensions that no longer work, and trying to explain to them that the numbers have changed. And to top it all off, my boss just called and said she forgot to tell me but she'll be here tomorrow!

I was reading that smaller pickle thread too - it still doesn't say what the silly little dancing pickles are for! I don't even want one, I just hate feeling so out of the loop. Oh well, welcome to the DIS.

Can you believe the man lives less than 10 miles from me and his Xwife lives in my neighborhood and I've never ever never ever never ever ever ever seen the guy. People see him all the time at Walmart and the grocery store (Reasors...for my OK friends) but noooooooooooooooo it wasn't meant to be.
no way! that's too cool. I didn't know they lived in your area. I remember about 10 years ago he had a free concert in NYC and I wanted to go but I was working in Philly and had to work tons of OT and couldn't:sad2: I wasn't happy. I've heard he throws one heck of a concert too!
I met him once at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Actually stopped and talked to him for about 5 minutes.
that is TOO awesome!!

We are back from the game. Went out for pizza afterwards.
Nathan's team lost, but was tied with 50 seconds left in the game.:guilty: The team played really well and we're pretty proud of how much they've improved since the last game!!! GO BLUE!!
oh man! sorry they lost in the last few seconds! Way to go Nathan:woohoo: we're cheering for ya! and your sweetie ;)

He even will get up in the morning and turn on ESPN. It's kinda cute.
that is too cute!

Hey kids! All the Garth talk - never met him either but used to play music occassionally with the woman who used to play bass for him - his half sister. One of my close friends in common w/ the sister met and spent some time with him, and heard he was a really nice guy.
So, due to my dad's Christmas present, I've gotten myself in a project that is WAY too big.
that is awesome! wow...you've got a huge project in front of you for that one!! That pic is awesome!!

You guys are all going to kill me, but I wouldn't know Garth Brooks if he hit me over the head.
nah.... we won't kill you:rotfl2: wow...you wouldn't know Garth!! I remember a lot of Garth!! Yes, I have a few of his cd's in my car:rotfl: I admit it!
He made a basket today and played really well

Thanks!! Nathan really appreciates the cheering section!! Actually, his honey plays on the team!!
Way to go Nathan and your honey:cheer2:

Pics from RCL formal night. This is in front of one of the backdrops.
Great pics!

Sorry about the picture....I couldn't help myself...he was right next to the donuts in my photobucket album
:lmao: yeah, sure!

Our team won the final game last night and Nathan scored about 8 points!!! We were so proud!! Thanks for cheering him on guys!!!
wow!!! that is awesome! you have every right to be proud of him! That is great he's doing so well!

Now THAT'S what I call breakfast!! Some sugar and some JD to give it to me.... the sugar of course, what did you think I meant?

'Ohana Hawaiian BBQ.
:rotfl2: of coarse that's what you meant!! 'Ohana BBQ! how awesome!

Thanks for the DONUTS YM!!!
:rotfl: we thought you'd enjoy....the donuts at least ;)

Friday, Steven's sister called us and we went to a couple of bars. Then yesterday we just grabbed some last minute stuff for the trip and had dinner with my mom for her bday. And today since Steven's brother is in town (he's in the Navy) and he leaves this week, his family is having Thanksgiving and my nephew's bday (he turns 4 tomorrow) a little early.
Happy Birthday Nicole's nephew:cake: :bday:
hi, I dont know if its too late
ps I had a really great time!
never too late around here!
Glad you had a good time!

Hi everyone!!

I am so annoyed with Comcast I could just scream....

Here is one of the shirts I got last night at Kohls.
Ashley!!! A cruise!!! Ok...if I felt better, I'd do a dance for you, seriously:laughing: I'm so happy for you!! Sorry about your comcast!!! That shirt is very cute and will be perfect for your cruise! Disney doesn't have a soda card b/c at your meals, its included!! and on deck 9 they have free soda station ;)

Yeah, I think we'll do ok with just the ocean view.

There is so much info to digest. Royal Caribbean's website is not much help
ocean view is good!! For a first time cruiser, I don't think any of the sites are a huge help. I've learned from these boards, and experiencing it myself!

Christmas Stocking Alert!!!

Went to Target today and they have a bunch of Disney Princess and Cars stuff in the dollar section. There were notebooks, wallets, little purses, crayons, stickers, etc. Some really cute stuff!
ohhhh thank you! that is great!

There were dancing bears which were SO cute, they walked upright for the whole act and when it wasn't their turn, they walked over to the side and sat on chairs with their legs crossed.
how cute!! that is awesome. sounds like a pretty good time. That is one thing I've yet to take Kenny to:eek: I've never taken him to a circus yet!

Hello all

Sorry I've been AWOL lately...
Hey there Michele! I've been thinking about ya lately. Couldn't wait to see those cute pics of Lilly and her first Halloween!! She's so adorable!

The boys had an unbelievable weekend swimming.

They bettered their personal best times in EVERY event they swam!!

Chase especially had a great weekend. He swam 10 individual events - and posted a "B" time (a USA Swimming time standard) in 7 of the 10 events - and those times are based on ages 10 & under.

Colton posted 3 "B" times. This was his first meet without his cast in awhile and he did great.

Oh......and get this.....Chase beat Colton head to head in the 50 Meter Butterfly!!!! By about 1/2 a second!!

They had a great weekend!!
Way to go Chase and Colton!! that is fantastic!

Aren't boys fun!?!?
yup! And Kenny is only 6 and Mike and him wrestle like that all the time. Kenny gets his hands up telling Mike "bring it on old man":lmao:

Thank you. It was a great weekend for them. Chase's coach - who is usually very stoic.....HUGGED him after his last event. I mean she rarely ever shows ANY emotion. And she hugged him!!
wow! Way to go Chase!!!

I will be spending my birthday, Saturday, at a scrapbooking fundraiser with some friends. I'm really looking forward to it.
I hope I love it!!
that sounds great! I'm sure you'll love your book!!

He took it well. But he did tell Chase it was going to be the last time.....

Chase's response???? Get this.....and I quote....."Bring it big boy!!"
Sibling rivalry......
That is hilarious!!!
Anybody want to go in 5 years???:cool1:
Definitely!! we're there!!!
I've mostly been taking care of my little Maddie.
awww I hope Maddie gets to feeling better. poor thing!

The book sounds really neat!!

I'll go to WDW in 5 years with ya'!! Nov. 17th 2012......marked on the calendar. I may have to reserve a wheelchair for myself.
Not 17th. 2012...got it!! :woohoo:
To add the stress of his job on top is just too much for him.
I'm so sorry Amber! I sure hope something changes for you guys soon!

I think I'll call back later on tonight.
definitely call back! I want to have all that together B4 I leave, not once I get there! I don't want to wast my vacation time at counters!

Linda- I hope you and Kenny get better soon! Miami sounds like so much fun! Ask Mike if ya''ll can make a quick trip to WDW. :rolleyes1
thanks...and a quick trip to wdw sounds fantastic!!!! :cool1: that would be SO awesome!! we have tix we could use too!!

Oh crap. I think I accidentally double-paid two of my credit cards this pay period. They are both through the same bank, and the same thing happened on both of them. For some reason a payment wasn't showing up in the transaction history so I assumed I hadn't paid it and went ahead and paid it again... I just double-checked to see if they went through and realized what happened. Between that and the car stuff, no wonder my bank account is so low! The sucky thing is, all the payments were processed before the statement due date so I'm not really "ahead" on the payments, I still have to make my next scheduled payment too. Oh well, at least they'll be paid off quicker this way but that was NOT the way I meant to spend my money!

Lesa: Have you tried talking directly to Brittany's teacher to find out if (s)he recommends the tutoring? I'll help with your editing, if you don't mind a little constructive criticism. (Grammar Nazi to the rescue!!) I think the letter looks great!! A few minor suggestions (I'll put my changes in red) and remember they are just suggestions!! The only change that I would recommend definitely making is in the 2nd sentence, it ends with "at." A sentence should never end with a preposition. Good luck with getting it all figured out, and Brittany -- NO MORE CONNECT THE DOTS!!

I like the letter!
I think its "received"
good luck!

Yes, I do, I go in at 4. I'm kind of nervous! :rotfl: I know I shouldn't be though.

good luck, I hope your first day went well. I LOVE candles!

we are getting ready to go to a Hockey game! Panthers vs Hurricanes!
I am excited. We have really great seats. section 104 row 15 seats 3 4 5 & 6!
look for us on tv! we are wearing black shirts.

hope everyone has a great evening!
xoxo

Linda, I hope you get to go to FL. :wizard: It sounds fun! Sorry you have been sick.

Lyzziesmom, I have no idea about the pickle. It's a German custom to hide a pickle on the Christmas tree, but I don't know if that has anything to do with the DIS.

Well, Mike's company sent another van, but they didn't send the wine he ordered. Still, he doesn't have to wory about a vehicle for the moment.
