Oh my goodness we had such a hectic morning! We headed out to the urgent care clinic at my dr's office, after confirming that Lyzzie's pediatrician is closed today. Got all the paperwork filled out, then was told they don't take her insurance. Great. So we went to my mom's house (which we were near) and got the ins. co's phone number -- their customer service line is closed, but their nurse line is open. So they gave me the name of a clinic to go to, and they gave me Lyzzie's ID number because for some reason they've never sent us a card. I called the other clinic -- yes they take her insurance, yes they are open. So off we went, and guess where this place is? Inside a Walgreens, across the street from my house. Grrr!! Got all checked in and oops... they won't see her because we don't have a card. I argued that the insurance company sent me there, and their own eligibility line that you have to call during checkin approved Lyzzie for treatment, and I have the ID number. Sorry, no can do. The receptionist was nice enough to call around and find us a pediatric urgent care clinic at a nearby childrens hospital - back up by my mom's house - that will see us without a card. Back across town we go! By this time, it's past lunchtime & we've been at it all morning. Finally we got to the ped. clinic, and the lady sitting there at the check-in desk is Lyzzie's girl scout troop leader!! We got excellent care and she even gave the girls extra treats, a journal for Lyzzie and a Blue's Clues workbook for Emma. After ALL this, Lyzzie's diagnosis for the white crusty tongue is....

she BURNED her tongue!! Oh yeah, she says, I did have some hot marshmallows and hot chocolate, but they weren't THAT hot, only a little burned. Oh I could just strangle that child!! But at least we found out it's not contagious. I was worried, because her friend's mom is throwing her annual Halloween costume party tonight.
I was planning on not wearing a costume because I don't have one. Then I had a brainstorm... I'll be a TOURIST! I have Mickey ears, a lanyard, a camera around my neck, and my favorite shirt that says, "Do not disturb, Mom on vacation". Perfect!! My mom will wear my old prom dress and a tiara and be a prom queen, and my dad is going to be a pirate. He was mad at Lyzzie because she can't find her hook hand -- oh well.
You guys sure were chatty last night! I see 2x and Bonnie both made rare appearances -- hello!! And of course hi to everyone else! Hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start.
I actually heard someone snoring in my sleep.
I didn't think I snored, but unless someone was in here with me, (hehe) I'm pretty sure it was me. Now I'm really behind-----and starving because I don't have anything in the house since I'm leaving. I guess I'll order pizza?? Unless someone wants to make some dinner and bring it to me.
they were all saying how much they loved the pics I gave them...so that was really nice. They literally live practically in our backyard and we didn't know it. They can walk back and forth easily!that will be cool!
well, I'm getting pretty excited...only 50 more days! I wish I'd hear something from childrens serv! If I remember correctly, he hid from them for about a week last time
I didn't want to ignore ya, but I just haven't gotten the chance, or energy to go back through the past day or two of posts...you asked something about me getting something at disney? am I losing it, or did you ask something like that? forgive me if I've mistaken
