Morning Cliqueless Chicas..... :cool1:

I am struggling this morning.......

I got another call from a company in Tampa (Lakeland to be specific) about another job opportunity. Anyway, they wanted me to take an online "Brainbench" test. I couldn't take it here at work, so I had to do it at home. Well, I wasn't able to find the time to do it until about 11:30 p.m. last night.

The test took about 1.5 hours to complete. It was completely different than what I was expecting. I have taken one before, and that one was pretty much job specific questions. The test last night was more of a general IQ type test. You know......"what is the next number in the sequence" or "take this object, rotate it 180 degrees, flip it 90 degrees horizontally, and what do you come up with".

Not the type of test you should be taking at midnight!! But I passed at least.
Oh my Pozey!! How exciting!! Yea for you!! :cheer2: And at midnight no less. I am so excited because you have the prospect of moving to Florida!! I want to move to Florida so bad I can almost taste it, feel it, breathe it. But DH says no. Too expensive. The whole idea of our move is to find a place where it's cheaper so that we can really set our financial future on fire and then maybe move to Florida. DH says if we move to Florida we will just be making a latteral(sp?) move AND nothing will really change. I know he's right but in my mind, Florida is my happy place. :goodvibes

Can you guys tell how far behind I am with these posts? I am sooooo not worthy to be a part of the Cliqueless Chicas and the Man! :blush

A great BIG :welcome: to keishashadow and luvdzne!

I'm supposed to be getting ready to go to church but DH isn't home and I'm easily sidetracked. I think I'll read just a few more posts. . .

Blake went on a golf outing yesterday and won a portable DVD player.
:cheer2: Yea for Blake!! I was just looking at those and said to DH we should get one. It would be really great for the plane. He just kind of did this---> :rolleyes2

Pozey...you still haven't told us where your tattoos are
Pozey has tattoos? I guess I didn't make it far enough back to get caught up. Apparently I've missed some very important reading. :magnify:

I don't know how I'll survive w/o my chapstick...will have to grease up good before I board. Whatever it takes to keep us safe.
WHAT??????? No chapstick?? :faint: :faint: :faint: I am a chapstick and handlotion junkie!!!! AAAHHHHHH!!!! :scared: But, you're right whatever it takes to keep us safe. :)

Linda, I am so sorry for what you're having to go through. It really sucks big time!! I hate to hear that Kenny's dad wanted nothing to do with him until last year. Funny (not really but for lack of a better word) how it wasn't until they met. I had a friend where the same thing happened to her. She was doing just fine with the baby (well as fine as could be expected under the circumstances) and then when the little girl was almost three the dad found a new girlfriend who insisted that he see his child! The little girl had such a hard time. It truly was heartbreaking. Sidenote, I'll never get these women who hook up with these men who have nothing to do with their children. You shouldn't have to make a man see his children. If he's not hugely a part of their life when you meet them, then hello, red flag!!! MOVE on! Because his actions are saying, not much in the way of character or integrity! Sorry, I just keep seeing that whole fiasco with my friend and her dd. :sad2:

Don't you just hate that? I've gotten that before. :rotfl:

I am a total control freak normally, but at WDW I just like to park the car (We have never flown to WDW, this is the first time, we always drove when we lived in South Florida) and not use it again until we leave! I like to use the busses. I have no idea why!
We always just park the car (if we have one) too. But last year when we stayed at POP! for the 3 days we just drove. It was because that was our first time staying and we didn't realize you could walk up the middle of the courtyard to get to the lobby or bus pickup  so we thought it was just easier to hop into the car. And also we remember from years past looking at the outrageous lines for the All Star resorts and thinking, "Thank God we're not staying there." We just assumed POP! would be the same. However, Lyzziesmom said that unlike the AS, POP! has their own bus so this is a good thing. I guess I never realized that the AS shared a bus. I mean that would make sense for the outrageous lines if those lines represent 3 resorts not just one. We like the busses too because we are definately park hoppers! Last year on our last day we drove the car to AK because we had checked out and everything. Well, I remembered I had wanted to get this Swarovski pin from the MK so we jumped a bus to Epcot (because it was right there) and then took the monorail to MK. To get back to AK, we took the monorail to the Contemporary where we ran into Kelly Ripa!! Litterally, we were right at the same table shopping with her and she smiled at DH! And he smiled back. But I digress. We went to the contemporary to catch the AK bus back to AK then we had to go get the car. So the moral to my long story, when you take the busses you never have to worry about going back and picking up your car. :p But, last year we did that because we were checked out and ready to go.

OK guys. I've really got to go get ready for church. Hopefully, I'll have time to post when I come home. DH went fishing bright and early this morning so I should have some alone time to get caught up.

I love you guys. Sorry I'm not the best cliqueless chica. :guilty:

Wow, you gals were busy last night! I was a bad hooty hoot, I think I was asleep before it hit 10pm. Asleep at the keyboard, no less. Sad, I know.

Ashely, definitely go get some rechargeable batteries - yes they are a little expensive, but a lot cheaper than going through so many "regular" batteries. My camera, if I put regular batteries in it, will turn on and then say "BATTERIES DEPLETED" and turn off. Sucks the life right out of 'em. It has that in common with my ex-not-husband.

Yum, Pop-tarts! Need I say more? Can you tell I'm a bit nutritionally challenged? That's ok, I eats what I likes and I likes what I eats.

Here's a little secret for you POP people: did you know that you don't have to use the lobby front doors to get to the buses? The bus stop is actually right outside of a small door to Everything Pop. We went that way every day and giggled (nicely of course) at the people who were IN the gift shop, and then went out into the lobby and around the outside to the bus stop.

I keep momentarily losing my internet connection right before I post (darn wireless!) so I've learned a little trick. After I'm done typing but before I post, I will highlight my whole post and copy (Ctrl-C) it, that way if I lose it I can just paste (Ctrl-V) it back in when my connection comes back. See, I told you I'm a genius!! (yeah right)

April, you are NOT a bad cliqueless cliquer!! You are a BUSY cliqueless cliquer. There is a difference.

Yesterday at the mall I nearly picked up Plum #'s 2 and 3, I was even carrying them around, but then the kids started acting up and it was time to go, so I had to abandon them. So... maybe that warrants a trip to Target today?

Hi, Lyzziesmom!!!! I will have to remember that little ctrl-c thing!! You are a computer wizard!! :wizard: Is your last name Gates??? I bet it is!! :surfweb:

Ahhh that french toast looks so much better than the bagel I had!!! Wow...I missed a lot since Friday night. We were on the computer late last night but Mike was shopping for office furniture for me :woohoo: I'm getting so excited!!!! I'll have to go back through and reply to what I've missed!!

:wave2: Hi everyone! Thankyou everyone for your pixie dust. :grouphug: I did awesome on my exam!!! I was ecspecially excited that instead of making people wait until the time is up to leave you were able to leave when you finished! The test was done on computers so your score was printed out when you were done. I met with the program director and I am almost in. She was impressed with me and she said it sounds like I would be a great fit. I have to meet with one more person on Tuesday but that is only going to like 15 minutes and the director said that I don't have anything to worry about. I am so excited!!

2xctd2slp--thats funny that you know Boca. I was actually born in Chicago and my family moved to Boca when I was in grade school. Then afer school I moved to Boston and lived there for 4 years. I miss it like crazy. We moved down here because DH wanted to give it a try and so here we are. When I am done with the nursing program we decided to move back. I really loved living in Boston!

So I asked DH what we were going to do and he said "football season is finally here there are games to watch I have to get ready for the draft you know" like hes a coach hahahaha. He never even wins in the fantasy leagues. But heck I am addicted to Disney and the Dis so I can understand.
Hooray!!!! You passed. . .You passed. . . ! Oh, please let me switch places with you!!!! I dream of living in Florida (if you can't tell by reading my posts already.) Is Boca expensive? DH says no Florida! Too expensive. --In his best cave man voice. JK :teeth: --

...snipped... Mom was here this evening to help with the packing, the place looks like a tornado has hit! There's boxes everywhere, full, empty, 1/2 full, forts, flat... it's like a maze. The kids love it. We had a yummy Papa John's pizza - it's the only kind Lyzzie will eat because she is addicted to the garlic sauce. The girl does have good taste.
It suddenly hit me that we close on the new house in FOUR DAYS!! Yikes!! We've decided that the girls room will be a princess room (or is that a pin-cess room?), since they already have mostly princess decorations. I got a really cool wall mural of Cindy's castle... I'm really looking forward to redecorating everything! Lyzzie really wanted to switch over to a Tinkerbell room but I said I am NOT buying all new stuff! We just did that last year when we moved IN to this apartment! Her room used to be decorated all in stars, it was soooo cute. So anyway, we compromised and the playroom will be Tinkerbell colors. That side of the house is going to look be so colorful! If you can't tell, I'm very excited! (insert loads of smileys here -- I am too lazy to "go advanced" right now.)

Wouldn't you know it, I finished Plum #1 and have not yet bought #2. It was funny, one of the guys at work saw me reading yesterday during my break and said "Oh I see you've started the Stephanie Plum books, aren't they good?" That really caught me by surprise! Turns out his wife is a big fan and he picked one up & ended reading all of hers! (insert laughing smiley -- still too lazy.)
I know the feeling of boxes, boxes everywhere all too well. It was a wonderful day when I rented a storage unit and we hauled those things out of here! I had so many bangs and bruises from running in to the corner of (all things) cardboard boxes. Who knew they could do such damage to a person. I was soo sick of all of those boxes and it kind of made me wonder, if I can live without all of this stuff for awhile (you know, put it in storage) do I really need it? Hhhhm? :scratchin You'll have to take pictures of the finished Pin-cess room. I love to see how creative some people get with their rooms. I was over on either the photography boards or the Creative boards and people were posting pics of their Disney rooms. Very neat! AAAHHH, finished one Plum book w/out the next!! Acckk!! That's not good. I've been pretty good about having the next one in line (of course I'm only on 3 so it wasn't that hard up until now). Hey, by the way, thanks for the bus tip at POP! I'm always all ears :earsgirl: for tips!!

MIL called this afternoon. Blake's birthday is our first day at Disney so she wants to celebrate on Sunday. His family ALWAYS celebrates on Sundays at 4:30. You could literally set your watches by his family. I am so bad, once we started having kids and I was in charge of some of the parties I would change the days and times just to mess with them :lmao: When the kids were little I insisted that birthdays be on the actual birthday, a completely novel concept to them but they went along. Now we do things on a convienent weekend but I sometimes will make it Saturday at 1:00!!! Just to make them  So we will be at the IL's Sunday afternoon. She is also the worst cook so I offered to bring spaghetti sauce. I told her to get the noodles. In his family we all bring something.
:lmao: :lmao:

She saved old biscuits, bread, and cornbread throughout the year (whole year...can you say f-r-e-e-z-e-r b-u-r-n) and then used this to make her yummy stuffing. I tried to explain that if she made fresh cornbread etc and let it dry a day or two it might be tastier...or a mix from the store would work. :yay:

Since I seem to be the only "Green Light" on this morning, I have become really reflective of this thread that IS NOT a clique.I have so many unanswered questions??? Here are a few of them:

1. Where is *Fantasia* and why did she dessert us?

2. Should we start a special thread to seek her out?

3. Why is everybody sleeping in today?

4. Where did some of the original posters go?

5. Do other posters think we are actually a clique???

6. Why am I doing this when I have so much to do today? Am I addicted to the Dis?
Great questions, Donna! I've asked myself some of these questions too. Like, about *Fantasia*. Where is she?

DH & I are going to Circuit City today to look at digital cameras. Does anybody have any suggestions on any? We want one that isn't too fancy (ie expensive) but takes nice pictures for everyday use. I want to get one for our trip so I can take lots of pics for my cliqueless friends!! (BTW, What ever happened to having a picture in our siggy? I want one.)

41 days!!
I'm having this dilemma too. What oh what camera do I get? Do I want a big one or a little pocket size one? At first I was going right for the Canon S3 but it is big to lugging around the world and then I thought, I'm not a professional here why do I need the biggest on the block? So, now I'm thinking pocket size but which one? Hhhmmm? :scratchin

I did the stupidest thing earlier!!! I saw a Ding for my flight from MCO to HOU and cancelled my flight to try to get the Ding fare..... well it was for flights ending Sept 30 not Oct 2!!! :furious: I didn't read! I quickly rebooked my return flight, thankfully I got the same price I payed before. I am so happy everything is fixed now. The morale of the story is READ THE FINE PRINT!!!
AHHHHH!!! :scared1: I almost know this all too well!! Remember my "booked the trip *** backwards" story? I felt sick until all was righted. And even after all was righted I still felt sick for quite some time after. :sad2: I guess it took some time for the adrenaline to go down.

April: tattoos huh? You wild woman, you! I'll tell you, yes they hurt, but not for very long and it's bearable. I've had mine for a long time and I still like them, when I even remember they are there! When I got the one on my calf, the first time I wore shorts after getting it, I remember being in the drugstore and this ancient lady was next to me with a little girl, and the lady was talking to me real nice for a while, and then she saw my tattoo and pulled the girl close to her and slowly backed away, her eyes just kept getting bigger. It was the weirdest thing, because I look SO non-threatening! :confused3 .
 Not me. I don't have any tattoos. I'm too chicken. I did have my belly button pierced for about a year and at that time I was going to get a little tattoo ring around my belly button but I chickened out. Alas, I don't even have my belly ring anymore.
