Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

YM: Me, play sports?? Ha! That's a good one!! No, I was always waaaay to uncoordinated for any kind of sports -- y'know, the kid who got picked last. Can't run, throw or catch. My joint problems are just due to my arthritis, in addition to my back/hip I have a touch of arthritis in my left elbow from when I broke it and had the metal plates inserted, it became arthritic and as a bonus, all the nerves are messed up. If I lean on it wrong or even just leave my arm dangling at my side too long, the "funny bone nerve" goes haywire and either throbs as if I banged my funny bone or instantly goes numb down to the pinky & ring finger. Also sometimes my shoulders & neck get sore from sitting & typing all day -- I need to remember to stretch more and take more breaks! But I feel silly taking a break when I'm not doing much to take a break from.

Isn't getting older fun? These sudden weather changes just kill me - I'm definitely living in the wrong part of the country!

lyzziesmom...you don't seem uncoordinated at all to me. Sorry...I guess that is one limit to the internet. Well...I think you pushed Emma's stroller just fine.:rotfl: Ok...I hope you are following my humor. Sorry to hear that your joint problems are arthrits related. I've never been told mine were...but I guess if they are injury related or overuse related I could have some arthrits too? I could probably use an MRI of my spine. Actually the last ortho guy told me to let him know and he would order one. I did do one of my rotator cuff and there was no tear. I have problems with my hands going to sleep when I'm alseep....especially the ring and pinky fingers. I also have a couple of little numb/tingly spots in my upper back. My nerves are always pinched in my neck.:headache: Well, I guess I should stop there...that's depressing enough for one day.:rolleyes1

YM: Yay for the internet... on here I'm also slim, gorgeous, rich and always think of the just the right thing to say!! ;) Aren't we all perfect online?

Ugh, I hate nerve problems. None of mine are too major, but that sciatic nerve is a pain in the you-know-where -- literally!

Well I'm off to the Disney Store for my lunch hour, I read they've discounted much of the sale stuff an additional 25% so I'm going to see if the Minnie Mouse swimsuits I like for the girls have come down. My mom keeps telling me the girls' suits are too small, but I don't think they are. Ah well, it's always so cute to have them match! I'm also hoping the shirts I bought went down, I don't have my receipt with me but if they did, I can go back & get a price adjustment and add the difference to my Gift Card for WDW spending money. Can't have enough of that!

Gee, I wonder how he figured that out? Emma's dad's family was like that guy, his mom only had one little b/w tv with an antenna. The weird part is, she had it on all the time! Said she didn't want to pay for cable, but she ate out almost every night. Weird family

She lucked out and didn't get the shots! They made her go into another waiting room, and after 1/2 hour there were still 8 people ahead of her so my mom said forget it, she'll just get them next time. Lucky girl! They still made it to the last 1/2 hour of VBS -- just in time for crafts and snack.

Skybus would be awesome if it was more convenient. Right now all their flights go into/out of Columbus OH

My parents joined us at Lone Star for their free kids meal
they charged $1.99 for Lyzzie's root beer. The waiter said, "Oh, kids meals don't come with Coke products or juice."
you go into my dads house and he has 4 tv's in his living room..and usually all of them are on:eek: one on the weather channel, one on CMT and whatever else:rolleyes1 must be part of the schizophrenia;) Yay for lyzzie not having to get more shots! Skybus doesn't have a direct flights other than CMH:confused3 sorry! I did not know that! Lonestar is great but at that point I admit I would have been ready just to take the $2 out of his tip. If he didn't want to fix his mistake, then he can pay for it:snooty:

wouldn't it be neat if there were some sort of nomination for tags?
that would be cool

Linda - Dad's doing great! I just got off the phone with him, he's home now. His GF is going to stay with him a couple nights, even though he says she doesn't have to. Stubborness runs in my family.
Yeah, the sis is a control freak, and has no idea she is. She just really lacks in people skills, and I want so badly to tell her! Some day, I'm going to have to.
Glad to hear your dad is doing well! He says she doesn't have too...a little independant and/or doesn't want to "bother" anyone ;) yeah, I know a few people like that ;) at least he's doing well! that is the important part. My mom is like that too... I'd love to tell her, I really try to hold my tongue b/c she is my mother...but man does that get hard:rotfl:

Good it's about 48 degrees
thanks for the wonderful breakfast!! 48 degrees wow...I think it was like 75 this morning!!

Just last night Gary suggested that we find a sitter for Nathan one week-end and get away for a couple of days. DUH..... that's what I've been saying for several years!!! I love taking Nathan with us, but sometimes couples just need some "alone time".
That is a great idea!! we do get some alone time when Kenny does go w/his dad but you can never really plan anything for a weekend away or anything b/c he's definitely not reliable ;) and no way would I want to be away if something did happen to Kenny... Nathan can always come spend a weekend w/us....go up to Cedar Point:woohoo:
I had a good time last night! There were about 20 women there including a 3 mos old baby girl! 1/4 were nurses and boy were they wild!!! I even got chosen to try something out! I didn't order anything but might later on. (And no it's nothing naughty!) They had something similar to a hot stone massage that I liked!
are you sure YOU weren't the one that got "wild"LOL I'm only kiddin' ;) YOU got to try something, I'd be so embarassed... well, was it what you expected?
Last night as we were getting in the car after dinner, Emma was sining quietly to herself. I couldn't really hear her until I got down to put her in her carseat -- she was singing "It's a Small World After All!" That's my girl! (thumb)
:cloud9:  :cutie: princess: how adorable!!! I can totally relate w/the sinus/allergies:guilty:

As for what I tried out...I can't say without getting into trouble!
that is the best stuff then:banana: can't even say on the DIS:rotfl:

I was so excite and had to share this with someone else. I figured everyone on this board would appreciate this. The mailman delivered to my door yesterday three sets of lanyard and pins for my children. They were so excited even though my little girl won't be able to wear it for years. DH couldn't understand my excitment, but then again he is not a disney nut either. I'm slowly working on him though.
HOW COOL:cool1: :woohoo: that is too awesome! did you order them, or did they just come from Disney? I'd be excited too!!

The power came back on in the middle of the night.
OH, I hate that...I can never sleep very well when the power does that...I'm always worried I'll oversleep for work:sad2: even though the alarm has batteries:rolleyes1
I just irks me because I didn't think the wear and tear would be so bad.
at that age, we think we know it ALL;) well, most at that age do anyway.

I need to remember to stretch more and take more breaks! But I feel silly taking a break when I'm not doing much to take a break from.
that is what Mike says...but you really do need to take the breaks, stretch and take care of yourself. Listen too your body!!!:grouphug:

that sciatic nerve is a pain in the you-know-where -- literally!
That is what Mike says ;)

I'll have to upload Kennys pix, he did great in his t-ball game tonight. they pitched the first 5 balls to them tonight, if they couldn't hit in those 5 tries, then they had to use the t.... Kenny hit the 2nd pitch...he was so excited!!! it was too cute!!!

Hope everyone has a great evening!!

Looking forward to the pics, Linda!

I got the girls the swimsuits I've been eyeing at TDS for an additional 25% off, plus some matching nighties for another 40% off the sale price. Gotta love those sales, they were even less than the ones I usually buy them from Walmart or Target! And of course the girls love to match, they are so cute in their Cinderella nighties that go down to their ankles. :)

My parents took Lyzzie after work today so I only brought home Emma, I knew what they were up to but Lyzzie had no idea. They only told her they would do something FUN. So when they pulled into the Walmart parking lot, Lyzzie was pretty disappointed. On their way in, my dad handed her a 1/2 dead plant and said, "Here you go." Funny guy! They just kept telling her that now she's bigger, she needs something bigger that will grow with her and she's old enough to decide if she wants it. Then my dad pointed out a grill and asked her if she is ready to handle it. She was like, Ummm.... no. Then he pointed out an extension ladder. I guess she was getting pretty fed up, until they turned her around and showed her a bike. She loves it! Her old bike was pretty small for her, but she just learned to ride it last fall and was pretty unsteady until recently. So now she has a nice big new bike and a good story to go along with it.

Those kids were quite spoiled today!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Thanks for the rum Underdog!

I had a good time last night! There were about 20 women there including a 3 mos old baby girl! 1/4 were nurses and boy were they wild!!! :rotfl: I even got chosen to try something out! I didn't order anything but might later on. Sounds like you had a fun time at the party!!!:dance3:

What a great surprise to get in the mail!! We totally understand!!:thumbsup2

That just looks too good Miss Donna...thanks!

Donna...darn if I didn't even make it through the first chapter yesterday. I was thinking of my friend in St Louis and wondering if a client surprised her with the book like last time? I think at the end of 12 Miss Plum a had taken a nice yummy birthday cake up to share with a certain steamy bounty hunter. Ok, young lady, get to reading.:cool1:

Your welcome for the breakfast, but, in all honesty, it always looks like the leftovers ready for the garbage.:crazy2:

I DO need to start reading...really fast!!!!!!!! I wonder what they'll do with the birthday cake??:rolleyes1   :scared: :teeth:

Looking forward to the pics, Linda!

Hooray for the great buys at TDS!!!:cheer2:
That was awfully nice of your mom and dad to get Lyzzie a new bike!! I'll bet she was pretty excited!!!

DznyFan:: Thanks for the ketchup(s)!!:teeth:
Wow!! Sorry about the storm last night. Nathan had to tell me yesterday morning that it rained the night before. I never heard a thing.

Linda:: Yay!!! For Kenny hitting the ball in the second pitch!!!:woohoo: :yay: Can't wait to see the pics!!!

I can't believe it's getting so late already. Where do the evenings go? We went out for Mexican food tonight and then my sister and niece walked over and chatted until almost 9pm.

When Nathan and I first got home from work, he decided that he wanted to take the 4-wheeler out for a spin. Several minutes pass when he finally comes to the back door to tell me it ran out of gas. I know I should have checked the tank before he left. We had to lug a 5 gal can of gas back into the woods to fill the thing up. Gary got quite a laugh out of this, but told Nathan that checking the tank was his responsibility and next time he would have to carry his own gas can.

I hope you all are having a nice evening.

I wonder what our vacationing Cliquelessers were doing today??

Linda- I can't wait to see the pics!

Lyzziesmom- I bet Lyzzie is excited to try out her new bike! I love how your parents tricked her!:rotfl:

Uh oh I found the rum, looks like someone better hide it!:lmao: Thanks underdog. I was just noticing your signature and looks like I'm not the only one who is a Beatles fan, just a guess?:confused3
Have a good day everyone!

Welcome! Rum is nice, but you should try “Helter Skelter” after 3 Pints of Guinness. Yummy… :rotfl2:

Underdog -how 'bout rum-soaked cherries?? Nice touch on top of a rum 'n fruity.

Well, I try to keep it nutritious!!!!:cool1:

I hope you all have a Thrilling Thursday!!!

Thanks AGAIN for a wonderful breakfast Donna!:thumbsup2

Donna, thanks for the cinammon rolls - they look so good!

Lyzziesmom- what a nice surprise for Lyzzie! That was so sweet of them. Nice job bargain shopping at TDS. Now I want to go back!
Yes, getting old stinks... I guess we all have something wrong, somewhere...

Donna - well, perhaps Nathan will learn from this experience.... and check the gas next time!

Linda - did I read that right? your dad has 4 TVs in his living room? Can't wait to see Kenny's ball game pics.

YM - glad you guys didn't see the worst part of the storm. Tree limbs and branches down everywhere down my way.

That was awfully nice of your mom and dad to get Lyzzie a new bike!! I'll bet she was pretty excited!!!

Oh she was very excited, she spent about 40 minutes last night at bedtime telling me the whole story and describing every detail of the bike! In all actuality, Mom noticed the bike on clearance and wanted to take Lyzzie to see if it was the right size, and crossed her fingers and hoped she would like that one for $30 and not once of the full-price ones around $100. :rolleyes1

Nice job on having Nathan check his own tank from now on. Those things scare the heck out of me... I never realized they were for little kids, I always thought they were just for teens. I'm still working on the girls with learning responsibility for their own things. Sometimes it's a very hard lesson, for all of us.

Mmmmm, those cinnamon rolls look heavenly.

Lyzziesmom- I bet Lyzzie is excited to try out her new bike! I love how your parents tricked her!:rotfl:

Yeah that was pretty good, huh? I knew they were taking her to try out the bike, but she didn't know and it was SO hard not to tell her!!

I think that's me in the front seat. Please ignore my crazy hairdo - it never looks good upside-down. Heck, it rarely looks good right-side-up! :scared1:

Linda: FOUR tv's in one room? Have you pointed out to him that he only has two eyes? Up until last Xmas, I only had one tv in the whole house. I still don't use the 2nd one too much; Lyzzie likes to watch it in my room while Emma watches her "baby shows" and that's about it.

Well today is the last day of VBS for the girls. I didn't realize it was only 4 days, I thought it was all week. There's another one about halfway between my house and my mom's house that she might take them to, I think it's next week and the sign says FREE all over it, and they seem to like it so why not?

:bored:

Everyone must be busy today!

I went to Marshalls during lunch and had to talk myself out of buying a ton of clothes!:rotfl: I need to save my money for Disney!

Hi Nicole! I'm not that busy today, but I just didn't have much else to say. I went home for lunch so I wouldn't be able to spend any money... on the way back I had to seriously talk myself out of stopping at Quick Trip for a black cherry smoothie. Gotta save that WDW money! I also have a couple of Emma's birthday presents that she doesn't really care for that I need to return, but I'm afraid to set foot in Target again this week. And one of them I can't remember if I got it at Target or Walmart and can't seem to find a receipt, so that's potentially TWO stores I'd have to go into. I'll need to bring the kids so I won't be tempted to shop my heart out while I'm there.

Yes Lyzziesmom, take the girls so you won't shop! I hope you find that receipt, I used to be notorius for losing receipts!

I'm pretty bored here at work, so I've been reading IwasatWDW's thread about hearing voices, my heart breaks for that girl. :( (If she really is ill)

Nicole, I'm reading that thread too. It is creeping me out.

I woke up today with a little cold. I'm not feeling very well and my throat is killing me! Hopefully it wont be too bad. I think I jinxed myself, because I was thinking how I haven't gotten a cold in a long time :rolleyes1

I know what you guys mean about spending too much money at Target. I go there for toilet paper and come out spending $100. Jeremiah just emailed me that he wants to go to Costco tonight but I kind of hope we don't have to because we will spend a lot of money in there but only come out with like 5 things :rolleyes1

I am in the middle of reading that same thread! It always amazes me how there are thousands of threads, and yet a select few that seem to attract attention. I don't know if that girl is for real or not, she certainly doesn't seem to want any advice and has posted some other stuff that was pretty messed up. Maybe she's just a little "off" and doesn't have good social skills. I am not about to get into it on that thread, but I hear voices sometimes but NOT the way she's talking about. It's right as I'm falling asleep or waking up, and I think it's like my brain is trying to dream while I'm still a little bit awake. I can never really hear conversations or anything, sometimes just a word or two but usually it's more like hearing people in another room. It doesn't really creep me out because it's ONLY when I'm more than half asleep. One time I did think I clearly heard an old friend say my name, several years after the last time I'd seen him. It was right after I moved from FL to KS and it was so clear I'm ashamed to say I actually answered. The weird thing is, it got me thinking about him and a few days later I looked him up online and found out that the day I thought I heard his voice was the day his divorce was final. This was a friend who I thought I was in love with for about 11 years, we used to be very close.

Ok now you all think I'm a total whack job!

Ashley: I'm like that with Sam's Club. I went there over the weekend for two things, ended up spending about $75.00 and they didn't even have one of the two things I went for! I'm glad I put a bunch of stuff back before hitting the checkout. I'm trying SO hard to save money but it's not easy, I am very much an impulse buyer especially if there are sales! I hope you feel better soon, those summer colds are just miserable.

Does anybody know if you can check and see if your Costco membership is still valid online? My Grandma pays for it and I don't feel like calling her to see if she renewed (it hurts to talk.) I looked on their website but I'm being kind of spacey I think because I can't make sense of it!!!

Ashley- I hope you feel better! My throat was bothering me last week and I thought I was going to get a cold, but it went away a few days later.

Lyzziesmom- That's spooky about your friend! I used to experience deja vu frequently as a kid and still do every so often.

Ashley: I have never been to Costco but I think it works pretty much the same as Sam's Club. I don't know if you can check online, but I'm sure you can either call them or just check when you go in and they can tell you. Does your card have an expiration date on it? Oh wait, I just reread and you don't know if she renewed. I guess you could just ask at the membership desk. I'm on my mom's membership at Sam's so I know the feeling, I'm always afraid I'm going to go shopping and when it's time to pay they will try to "automatically" add the renewal fee. They start doing this a month before the renewal date, and I always have to watch and then remind Mom to renew, and every year she says she's not going to. Good luck, I hope you find out before your cart is full!!
