Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

Ashley: I'm the same way with pain meds - they always make me really wired and wide awake. I can never take them at bedtime, and I always make sure to tell the doc that. Thank goodness for Ambien though, that's the only thing that actually WILL put me to sleep! Well Benadryl works too, but only in prescription strength. Definitely go with epidurals when/if you have kids!! Even though mine didn't take 100%, they made the process SO easy. Just don't ever tell the kids that. Have fun with your company! When are they arriving?

No problem UnderDog.........You keep filling them up......I'll keep bringing them back........empty..... :woohoo:

Now pozey, didn't you ever learn to *hic!* share??

Erin is very beautiful! She looks like she would make a wonderful princess at Disney World.

I agree. I could see her as a very cute Snow White, with those apple cheeks and freckles. But I'm sure she'd be awesome at whatever she did.

I usually only take the kids to Great Clips or those type of places if they need a trim, for exactly that reason. You do get what you pay for. I paid a little bit more for the shampoo, because it never comes out right when they just do the squirt-bottle. But Lyzzie really REALLY needed the haircut, and the only kids place we know of was booked up and very snotty, so off we went. The only other place I could think of was my usual salon, and they are very expensive so no way was I taking her there! I am happy with the haircut Lyzzie ended up with, but I'm miffed because I could have done it myself and it was not what I asked for. I don't really want to take her back to fix the layers (she didn't put any in after I asked repeatedly for them) because of how much I changed her bangs after we got home - I'm sure they'd notice.

Emma is so funny, we got to my parents' house this morning and Mom immediately noticed Lyzzie's new hair, and Emma chimed in with, "Lyzzie got her hair cut and I don't like it! She looks too different!" My dad didn't notice. He said, "What did her bangs look like before?" Um, she's never had any. Dad's never been one for details.  :sad2:

Hi to everyone else - let's hope this Monday kicks off a great week for all us Cliquelessers!!

Share?!?! Okay......UnderDog......got any more?? hic!

Hi to everyone else - let's hope this Monday kicks off a great week for all us Cliquelessers!!
Should be an interesting week for me. We leave for vacation EARLY Saturday morning. And we are driving, so that should be an interesting experience. This will be our first "road trip" as a full family. :scared1: 15 hours in a car!! UnderDog......I think I will be needing some more of that rum soon....... :drinking1

So, this week, we are trying to get everything ready to be packed by Friday night.

Also, on Thursday, we are having a "Team Building" outing. We are going to go play LaserTag!!! That should be interesting.

Donna

Good Morning. Thanks for the breakfast Donna!

Welcome Home DznyFan! Can't wait for some more pictures!:dance3:

Lesa...if you need to stay home and work I could go on vacation in your spot.:confused3 ;) I'm actually sitting here thinking about all the WORK our house needs. It's 6 years old and the outside already needs paint! The inside needs paint and our wood floors are in need of refinishing! Sophie has really done a number on them.:sad2:

Pozey...you guys will have a great time!
untitled-6.jpg

DH really wants to take a trip to the Grand Cannon so I might need to get some tips from you when you get back.:woohoo:

lyzziesmom...the bangs are cute. I've always thought bangs looked cute on little girls. I usually have them myself but I let them grow out for a different look. Emma looks like she's enjoying Oreo.

Hey Amber, Ashley, Nicole, and Underdog (hope you find a nice camera...we need a new one too).

Did anyone read this? It's from AllEars.

Major Changes Coming to Walt Disney World Reservations System

Please note the following information is UNofficial and
has not been released by Walt Disney World.
All Ears "hears" it's coming!

Major changes are coming to the hotel reservation system beginning June 23, 2007. At that time, a new program will be instituted for all reservations beginning January 1, 2008. Pricing and rates for 2008 Walt Disney World hotels will become date specific.

Here's how it effects your budget: You will pay a nightly rate based on the season of that date. If you reserve night 1 under the value season and nights 2-5 under peak season, you will no longer be able to maintain the value season rate for the entire reservation.

Premium rates will now be applied for premium dates. A weekend may be considered premium so that friday and saturday night pricing may be higher than sunday - thursday, even if in the same "season".

In theory, you could be paying a different price for each night of your stay.

The upside, if there is one, is that you no longer have to split reservations and recheck into your hotel.

No word on how this may effect Annual Passholder rates.

When making room only reservations for 2008 you must specifically ask for the rate for each night otherwise you will just be given a total price for your stay. Package pricing will not be broken down by day.

More details as they become available.

Amber: I hadn't seen that yet about the reservations. I can only imagine the DISboards frenzy that is about to happen. It sounds like they are contemplating switching to a more "traditional" reservation system... that is how most non-Disney hotels operate.

I just received a child support payment from Emma's dad: for a whopping $3.75. This is really getting ridiculous. I emailed the court trustee's office two weeks ago asking why they can't give their info to the sherriff's department, but no answer.

Well more bad news -- I have to cancel Lyzzie's summer camp. Her doctor's office can't get her in for the required physical, they are booked solid at both offices until the end of July. Her camp is July 15th and her health form is due at the end of this week. I tried to call early last week, but the office was in the process of moving and they said they couldn't take any appointments until this week. I'm so upset. Lyzzie seems to be taking it ok, but I just feel so bad for her, I know she was really looking forward to it. I tried to get her in at my dr's office but they don't take her insurance and it would cost me 1/2 as much as the cost for camp itself just to get the physical. This is so stupid. I'm sitting here at work in tears right now because I feel so bad about this.

 it'll be ok. Lyzzie is a very mature and understanding for her age. She knows you did everything you possibly could. Would you be able to take her to a different dr. that does take her insurance? Just thinkin', I know ...scary ;)... on the child support, you would think they would make him pay a minimum regardless of his income:sad2: here they have the "right to earn" meaning they know he's at least capable of holding a minimum wage job and they could base his child support on that. and tough luck if he quits, he has to pay regardless.... maybe something to ask a local attorney about.

Lyzziesmom- Are there any clinics that you could call? I know when I had to have a physical for school I just went to a local clinic and got a physical for about $15 or $20. Is this the Girl Scout camp? I went to GS camp alot when I was younger and never had to have a physical.:confused3

Yes, this is the Girl Scout camp. It's killing me, because it's only a 1/2 page health form but the dr. said they can't fill it out without giving her a physical. The woman was actually very snotty about it. Lyzzie is on Medicaid and I don't even have a card for her or any contact information... the only thing they ever mail me is a bill and that comes through a third party. Believe me, I have tried to contact them before but don't have any way I know of to get a hold of them. My mom put in a call to a clinic but got an answering machine and left a message. There just aren't too many places around here that accept Medicaid, and I'm pretty sure you can't go to a doc that's not her primary. It's a huge PITA.

On the child support issue... he works as a waiter, and always arranges it so he brings home almost no money in his check, all his pay is in tips. They can't touch his tips for child support. He doesn't pay taxes, so there isn't a tax return to garnish. He also skips jobs often, usually a couple months after child support catches up with him, he will quit. He's such a con artist piece of crap and prides himself on knowing how to work the system and stay just under the radar. I just keep telling myself that one of these days it's going to backfire. I may not get any benefit from it, but just knowing that he's not getting away with it any more would make me happier.

I am sorry to hear that Lyzzie won't be able to attend summer camp.

Either you must have one heck of a busy doctor's office, or I am extremely lucky. We basically have 2 doctors for our family members. DW, Colton, Chase, and I all go to a family practice doctor within a clinic of about 6 doctors. Courtney still goes to her pediatrician that has been her doctor since birth.

I can call either doctor before noon and get in that day. I have never once had to even wait until the next day. Plus, the clinic that our family doctor is in, is also an after hours minor emergency care clinic. So, they are open until 8 pm during the week and most all day Saturday and Sunday.

Ashley, I am with you an the Sopranos ending. For a second I thought the TV broke. I heard this morning the reasoning behind what happened and it makes sense, but it still annoys me.

Where are your aunt and grandmother visiting?

Amber, can you PM me the website where you read the reason for the ending? I think the town my Grandma and Aunt are visiting is called Snowshoe, WV. They are also going to the town where my Great-Grandparents (their parents) were raised in called Cass (I think,) and tour around there.

Ashley....I think I need to finish my coffee before reading posts. :surfweb: I kind of breezed through your post and thought I read you and Jeremiah got knocked up!!!:scared1: :lmao: :rotfl2: I had to read that again!:rolleyes1

 :rotfl: That would certainly be a surprise!

Lyzziesmom, sorry about Emma's dad. That is so annoying about how he dodges having to pay child support. How can he get away with not having to file his taxes? :confused3 Sorry about Lyzzie's GS camp:headache: My Grandma and Aunt are arriving this Thursday, and might stay until Friday afternoon or Sat morning. They are driving back to Jacksonville and my Aunt drives like a snail :rolleyes1 so they might have to leave early. I'm just happy I get to see them, even if its for a little while!

Donna, your breakfast kind of reminded me of my dessert last night! (Well I guess its not much like it, except the strawberries :)) We went to Cracker Barrel and I got strawberry shortcake. It was the best dessert ever!!! I want some now. :rolleyes1

:yay: I got my mail today! Thank you Dznyfan!!!:yay:

pozey: The pediatrician's office we go to is part of the University of Kansas. If the child is sick, they can usually get in same day or next day, but they are completely booked for camp physicals. Since Medicaid is free, you definitely get what you pay for.

How can he get away with not having to file his taxes? :confused3

He just doesn't file, hasn't for years. This was one of our major arguments during our "marriage" - I had no idea he was so financially irresponsible. It just didn't occur to me to ask for tax records before accepting the proposal. :headache: It irks me to no end that he gets away with all this crap. I've mentioned it to the courts, to the police, to the child support office, my divorce attorney, everyone I can think of. He also drives on a suspended license. I've told everyone that too. Nobody seems to think these things are worth taking any action. My lawyer even told me not to sue over the bigamy because it's too hard to prove, and when I spoke to the police about it the officer asked me, "What's in it for you?" Um, nothing... just that it's ILLEGAL and trying to save the next victim from going through what I went through. Idiot.
