Hi, everyone!!

Thanks for answering my question about the bathing suits. I'm needing a new suit and just wanted some opinions.

Nicole:: Free margaritas!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: I'm glad you had fun at the party!!

lyzziesmom:: Glad to hear you got the resort you wanted!!

Lesa:: I sure hope the siding/roofers fix your house right this time!!

Linda:: All this talk of DVC sounds so very tempting. I really do think a trip to check the resorts out is in order for you, girl!!!

Not much happening with me. Tomorrow Gary's sister is flying in from OK. I think she is supposed to be staying with my MIL, but I may have Nathan "beg" his aunt to spend a night or two with us.

Lesa: That's awesome that the contractor is finally coming! It's too bad it took all this to get it done, but at least it's getting done. You certainly are a busy woman!!

My parents were just here and my dad can't stop talking about what a great upgrade we got. He said he was telling people at work and they just didn't get it. I had the same problem! I told my coworkers and they were like, "Oh that's nice." No, it's SO much more than "nice"!!

Dad still thought it was some sort of scam, he said he called Disney directly (not through the number on the email, even though it was THE SAME number!!) and had to ask if we really were upgraded. What a silly man!

Happy hour was fun, only a few people showed up and everyone went home early so nobody made a fool out of themselves, although one of the guys did keep asking me for my "woman's perspective" on why the coworker he briefly dated doesn't talk to him anymore. Um, maybe because you broke it off with her and she didn't want you to?? D'oh! My folks were happy that I came home early, so there's a good possibility they will babysit for me again if there's a next time. Poor Emma fell asleep in the car on the way home so I didn't get to see her awake, she is still conked out.

Last night when we went to get our free Sonic root beer floats, I put the kids in their jammies before we left. Emma kept talking about how "we are going to get ice cream without our clothes on!"

Late Night Snack!

Thanks for the snack, Underdog!!! I think I'll have it for breakfast. It looks much better than anything I can whip up right now!!!:teeth: I'm going to have the Blueberry Muffin.:goodvibes

Let's see what DznyFan will be up to today, on her last full day at WDW!!

Saturday, June 9
MK
Dinner - Crystal Palace
Evening - DTD for last minute shopping, and early to bed for our insanely early flight.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ride Splash Mountain for me, DznyFan!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

lyzziesmom:: My sister took my 14 year old niece and one of her friends to Sonic for the free rootbeer floats the other night, too!! I had to chuckle because the next day my niece wanted chicken strips and a rootbeer float from Sonic. I think she's hooked!!

Well, I think I'm going to surf the Dis for a few minutes and then I'm going to have to finish the house cleaning.......ie. Nathan's bathroom!! Wish me luck!!!:rotfl2:

I hope you all have a Super "Sonic" Saturday!!!:cheer2:

U R Welcome!!! Ok not cleaning today, man, I should be!!!! :yay: Actually could use your help!!!:lmao: :lmao: I'm off to a house sale. Looking for more stuff to fill the house with. Then off to camp... :cool1:

Good morning everyone.

DW got home last night!! :yay:

But not before more flight issues. Her flight out of New Orleans was supposed to leave at 3:10, arrive in Dallas at 4:40, leave Dallas at 5:20, and finally arrive in Tulsa at 6:20.

Well, I guess they were having weather problems in New Orleans. Her flight kept getting delayed, and finally left around 5:30 and didn't arrive in Dallas until 7:00.

Since I was getting flight notifications, I was waiting on the notification of her DFW - TUL being delayed. It never was.

So, at 6:30 I called the airline and inquired about her connecting flight. It had already left. So I had them put her on the next flight which left at 7:50. Good thing too.....it was the last seat.

Anyway she arrived in Tulsa at 8:50 last night.

pozey: Glad to hear Mrs. Pozey made it home safely. Gotta love those flight delays. I'm always afraid to book connecting flights for exactly that reason - I'd much rather try for a direct but it's just not always possible.

UnderDog: Is that a bagel I see? I'll take one! I'm very hungry this morning and don't have anything in the house that looks good. Of course I could *cook* something.... naaaaah.

For some reason when I woke up this morning, both of my hands were asleep! Y'know where they are numb and a bit tingly. That was over an hour ago, and it's a bit better but I still can't feel much in my fingers. It's making typing a lot of fun, since I usually touch-type. I'm reduced to the trusty ol' hunt-n-peck method.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Anybody got any interesting plans? We plan to head to the farm today or tomorrow. Blue Bell ice cream has a traveling exhibit that is at the farm this weekend, it shows the history of ice cream and finishes up with free samples. I did plan to go today, but I'll have to see what kind of mood Lyzzie is in when she returns from her sleepover. They planned to head to the Plaza last night after dark to see the Plaza lights and have a snack at the Cheesecake Factory, and then go to some garage sales this morning. I hope my mom remembered to give her a few dollars!

Ok...I'll have a....what in the world where are the donuts?:rotfl2:

Thanks Underdog...good luck at the garage sales.

Donna...so has your company arrived? Oh, back to the swim wear. I have have a tank with swim shorts and also a one piece that I wear with shorts...see a theme here?

Pozey...I'm glad your DW made it home. Good thing you were on the phone getting her on a flight. My last little trip that I took they held the plane for an hour waiting on 8 passengers delayed from another flight. There are so few places that we can fly direct from Tulsa. On our cliqueless trip they were holding the plane for us in Dallas due to a late take off from Tulsa. I think there were 20 some Tulsa passengers heading to Orlando on the flight.

Hey Lesa...I haven't been on to say howdy in the last couple of days. I was in Oklahoma City yesterday for a breastfeeding symposium. It was very interesting but about a 14 hour work day.:scared: When are you leaving for your Disney trip?

lyzziesmom...wow, great news about your upgrade.:woohoo:

Where's our Pin-cess been this week.:confused3 Maybe we should all take up a collection and get her wireless?;) princess:

Hey, I took the boys to see At World's End. My youngest turned a little green when the dude boke off his forzen toe. I must say that I enjoyed it so much more the second time. I think I had come to terms with the way the movie went and was able to enjoy the details and humor a little more. Overall...it's just a little sad compared to the first two pirate movies (just one girls opinion).pirate:

That is true. Very few direct flights from Tulsa. I think Delta actually has a direct flight to Orlando, but if I remember correctly, the times are a little odd.

I think that was true at one time? We flew out of KC once...just couldn't pass up the non-stop flight at a great price. I think it took us exactly fours hours to get to the airport (without stops).

Good Morning!

Thanks for the snack Underdog!

Plans for the weekend- I want to go see Knocked Up! And then we might go see Steven's friend who is in town.

Hi, guys!!

Just got back from having a late lunch with Gary's sister and mother. The house is in pretty decent shape, so thought I would take some time out to Dis.:rolleyes1

pozey:: Good thinking on your part to get a flight for your DW!! At least she is safely home now!!

YourMajesty:: I'm glad you got to enjoy POTC3 again!!!:woohoo: pirate: The frozen toe part was pretty gross, wasn't it!!
Did you have any ballgames today??

Nicole:: Sounds like you have a nice evening planned. Have fun!!!

It's such a beautiful day here today, I really need to pick out some flowers and do a little yardwork outside. :sunny: How many weekends have I been saying that??

Enjoy your Saturday everyone!!!

I want to go see that too, it looks really funny. Normally for the romantic comedy type movies I will wait until they come to DVD or even TV but I've heard good things about this one. Hmmm, maybe I'll have to see if XBF wants to see it too? ;) Not so sure it's a good date movie though, imagine the dinner conversation afterwards!

LALALALALALALA! (fingers firmly planted in ears... erm... eyes?) I still haven't seen it yet! For those of you who have though, is there anything I should know about that might be inappropriate or scary for Lyzzie? I see that it's PG-13 and I don't remember what the other ones were rated. I know in part 2 there was a scene where a bird pulled out a skeleton's eye and I knew about it ahead of time so I could warn Lyzzie. Don't tell me too much, but just enough so I know if/when to warn her would be helpful.

We had a very busy day running all over town. We finally ended up at the farm at 2:30 only to find out that their "dairy days" event ended at 3pm. So we got some free ice cream and the kids did an obstacle course, but we missed out on everything else. They had a TON of booths set up with activities, samples, games, raffles, photo ops, freebies and who knows what else, because we were too late! We might go back tomorrow, they are doing it again but I'll have to be sure to check the hours. We meant to get there much earlier today, but we got sidetracked by garage sales and Krispy Kreme. For some reason I woke up craving donuts. :rolleyes1

My fingers stayed numb for most of the day, it was really weird. I've had it happen before but never in both hands, it's usually just in the last two fingers of my left hand. That's the arm that I broke badly and had metal plates put in and suffered nerve damage, so occasionally it will just go numb from the elbow down to those two fingers but it never lasts long and usually happens if I am leaning on the nerve or if my arm is hanging straight down at my side. If the numbness continues I will have to get it checked out -- it's probably just one of my many mystery symptoms though, like my intermittent swollen legs.

The girls are outside now catching fireflies. It's the first time they've been able to do it this year, because they don't come out until after bedtime but since it's Saturday I like to keep them up late so I can sleep in tomorrow morning. ;) I can't see them but it sounds like they are having a blast!! I just hope they don't try to bring the fireflies inside, I let Lyzzie do that once and she kept the jar next to her bed, they were all dead in the morning. :scared1:

Lyzziesmom, I don't think there is anything too bad in POTC3. The beginning is kind of morbid, but it's not scary. I may not be the best judge though, my little brother (9) is allowed to watch almost anything and not much bothers him. So, while it may be no big deal to him, for other kids his age it is. Still, I don't there's anything too bad in this movie.

We didn't do much today at all. We ate lunch at Applebee's (I love the Santa Fe chicken salad, YUM!) and we just got back from Dairy Queen. I started reading a thread on the secret Doritos and had to go try them (they taste just like a Whopper from Burger King) and then we decided we needed a Blizzard. Now, I am tired and thinking of going to sleep.

I hope everyone had a great day.

Thanks for the info Amber! I haven't heard of "secret Doritos" but they sound really gross! A chip that tastes like a hamburger? Yuck-o!!

Then again, I am not really the best judge of food.

I forgot to mention that we went shopping at Target this evening and an employee stopped to talk to us in the aisle because the kids were wearing their Disney crocs. She was saying how much her family loves Disney stuff and her son has all Disney clothes and a Mickey Mouse bedroom. But she hasn't been to Disney since she was a kid and knew nothing about free dining! She was trying to tell me that from Christmas to New Years is one of the least crowded weeks to go because everyone else is seeing their families during the holidays. It was all I could do not to bust out laughing! She shut up though when Lyzzie started talking about our upgrade. It was nice to talk to someone in "real" life who understands how much we like Disney stuff and doesn't look at me like I'm an overgrown idiot child, but it was funny how she didn't really know anything about something she supposedly loves so much. The woman was asking me how often I shop there, and said she will look for us next time to ask me more about "this free food and hotel thing" -- I might have a Disney stalker!!

Ok I know it's time to head to bed when the top six of my subsribed threads show the most recent poster as being me, and they are all within the last hour.

Lyzziesmom, it's so funny, I just read the thread where you were talking about your numb hands. I guess it might have said it in my email (from my subscribed threads) because my GMAIL advertisement was "Don't let numb hands slow you down!!" Or is my computer just stalking me????:rolleyes1

Oops...sorry about the toe comment. I'm glad you reminded me that you haven't seen it. Luckily the toe thing had very little to do with the movie. I will tell you a couple of other sceens that scared the boys a little and I might ask them what else they thought was scary. One for sure that might freak a kid out a little is when Davy Jones makes his tentacles go in someones mouth and nose.:scared: The other one my younger DS didn't like was a sceen with a brain that comes out of a head(really nothing to do with the movie plot and meant to be humorous). Overall they did pretty good. They have watched all six of the Star War's movies so they have seen some violence but not a regular basis.

Hi guys!

Steven is out with his firends and I didn't feel like going so I'm here dising!

Lyzziesmom- That's too funny about your stalker!

Amber- Doritos that taste like a whopper! Yuck! Well, I might have to give them a try.

Knocked Up was pretty good! There was a graphic birth scene:eek:, but other then that it was really funny.
