Good afternoon everyone, TGIF!
It's been a couple days since I've posted but I've been reading everyday. I hope everyone had a nice, stress-free week.

Michele, hope everyone is feeling better!!!
Well I went ahead & bought that dental discount card from Aetna. I'm pretty happy so far because they gave me my member number so I can go to the dentist before the card comes. I don't know if you guys understood but the waiting period was just the dental part of the insurance, I was also getting medical too but canceled both. Now that I'm going to need dental work and I don't know how much its going to cost, I canceled it just in case I couldn't afford it until another couple months. My Mom's office manager's husband, who died acouple months ago, owned an insurance company (apparently she still runs it or knows who does) and she is going to get me a quote

Maybe I'll get a good deal.
The last couple days I've been looking at dentists that do 'sedation dentistry' but ofcourse none of them have prices on their websites & are very vague about the prices when you call. Well Jeremiah made me an appointment this week for a place which said the consulation for the sedation dentistry is $155, well I can live with that if they can sedate me for the dental work. I have very, very sensitive teeth, and have a very hard time getting numb for any type of dental procedure. I have pain even when I get a cleaning! Well I called another place just to compare & and they gave me some insane price just for the consult & sedation, not even including the work that needs to be done. So I call back the original place, which I had an appointment for, and they said just the sedation would be $1500

I was hoping all of my dental work would be that, if not less!
So I guess I'm out of luck. I don't know anyone around here that could recommend an understanding dentist. I had Jeremiah ask his co-workers but they all go to Indian dentists who like work out of their houses or something

(these guys are Indian, as in from India and they refuse to go to any doctor that isn't indian

)
I looked at plane prices and it just isn't reasonable for me to fly home to go to my wonderful dentist there.

Sorry guys, I'm just stressed out & and in pain, and am sick of all this stuff. Now I'm going to be in pain for the whole weekend, and I'm scared to see if I need a root canal. Not just for the procedure itself, but the cost, and then most general dentists dont even perform them. It was an easy decision to get my tooth extracted in January because #1 it was a medical emergency and severely infected, #2 the first dentist told me he wouldn't be able to get me numb for the root canal

(i will NOT be going back to him) and #3 it was in the back, the last tooth. Now I'm worried about my teeth shifting, and I'm kind of young to be getting my teeth removed anyway
Thanks to anyone that read this far. I am just venting, and have alot of anxiety about the price & and the pain associated with dental work. I haven't been able to sleep for several days because of this and I'm just stressed out. And when I get stressed out Jeremiah does and he isn't that comforting
