I think I told you guys that I had an interview with another company about a week or two ago. It went very well, and they called me in for a 2nd interview yesterday (Wednesday the 28th). I went in and I think I nailed the interview. I met with them at 11:30 yesterday for about an hour. By the time I got back to work, I already had an e-mail telling me that I had everything they were looking for and asking what my thoughts were. They also began asking about my salary requirements. So, I think they are on the verge of offering me the position. I would not be surprised if I didnt get an offer by Friday.

Coltons birthday is in 12 days. He will turn 11. Courtneys birthday is in 16 days. She will be 4. We still have not decided where to have their party. We have had their birthday at a local amusement park, but they have shut it down recently. Now we really dont know what to do.
More news
the in-laws have moved to their new house in Broken Arrow. They closed on it yesterday, but we moved all their stuff into their garage last Sunday. The builder was kind enough to allow them to do this. We helped them move last Sunday. But we made a nice weekend of it
We drove up to Oklahoma City fairly early Saturday morning. We arrived and checked into our hotel about 1:00 p.m. I asked the family what they wanted to do first. It wasnt totally unanimous, but we decided to go eat first. Our intentions were to go eat at The Cheesecake Factory. Well, we arrive and right away can tell the place is extremely busy. I drop DW and Colton off to go check it out. Yep, the wait time for a table was over an hour. We decided to try someplace else. We decided on Abuelos Mexican Restaurant. There is an Abuelos right in the heart of Bricktown in downtown Oklahoma City. We go down there an find a place to park we paid $5 to park all day.
After eating at Abuelos, we walk around Bricktown a little bit. We had plans to go to the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, but since we already paid 5 bucks to park, and if we left and came back, wed have to pay to park again. So, we just decided to stay down in Bricktown.
We went and bought tickets to ride the canal boats. Some years ago, Oklahoma City had a major renovation to their downtown area. On thing they did was to build a water canal that went through the Bricktown area. It is really nice. So we rode the canal boat around. At one area of the canal boat ride, there is an area where they are building a bunch of bronze sculptures depicting the Oklahoma Land Run. Right now, there are only 11 statues, with plans for a total of 46. So, after the boat ride, we walked to the area and took some pictures. I decided to give Colton my old Canon Rebel SLR film camera. He had a blast taking pictures with it.
We then walked back to Bricktown and decided to take a horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown. The kids really enjoyed this. After the carriage ride, we decided to take one more canal boat ride before leaving downtown. So we did.
We then decided to go back to The Cheesecake Factory and just get some cheesecake to go. DW got the Dulce De Luche Caramel Cheesecake, Colton got the Chocolate Oreo Mudslide, Chase and Courtney split the Banana Cream Cheesecake, and I got the Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake. While they were all very good, they didnt seem very cheesecake-y to me. More like a pie than a cheesecake. But they were good.
So, on our way back to the hotel, we passed by the Oklahoma City Capital Building. It is a very beautiful building, and Colton wanted to stop and snap a few pictures with his new camera. We stopped and took some pictures. But it was just getting dark, so some came out pretty well, others not so well. Especially if I tried to zoom in real close. I didnt have a tripod, and that would have helped.
After snapping some pictures, we drove around the area and saw the Governors Mansion, the VA Hospital, and the OU Medical Center. Both the VA Hospital and OU Medical Center are HUGE!!
Went back to the hotel and ate our cheesecake and watched the movie with Hilary Duff where she is like Cinderella. I cant remember the name. Maybe it is called Cinderella? Anyway, it was on ABC Family channel, and we watched it. It was decent. We then called it a day and went to bed.
Thanks for letting me go on and on about trivial things in my life.
Talk to you guys real soon!!
