I ended up coming home and waiting around with my mom for the RotoRooter guy to come -- my kitchen sink backed up this morning. We thought it might be related to the plumbing problems we had here a few months ago, but it's a new clog and he wanted over $200 to fix it!! We said NO WAY so he told us how to fix it, basically just snake it out. Of course we waited all day for this. I am feeling quite a bit better, I guess I just needed some "down time."
Ashley: I'll be sitting at the bar with Jeremiah while you guys are all out in the big scary ocean!!

Actually I'd probably find stuff to do with the kids. That stingray thing doesn't sound so bad. When we went to the Caribbean, I forget what island we were on but I took Lyzzie on an excursion to a butterfly farm, it was really nice. And on another one, we went to a cave that had a little minecar ride through it for the tour - very fun. I've also sometimes just hired a taxi to drive us around and show us the sights, it ends up a lot cheaper and sometimes you get some really interesting tidbits of information. We ended up touring a rum factory and getting free samples.

Turns out the same factory was on an excursion that cost over $100 each - we filled up this guy's van (there were 8 of us) and it cost less than that total!! The only downside to going it on your own is that there is no guarantee you will get back to the boat on time, at least if you're on an excursion the boat will wait for you. Yikes, what a nightmare that would be!
I didn't mean to ramble so much! I try not to think about the cruise too much because it's SOOO far away and I don't want to get too excited, I can't maintain that level of anticipation for a year & a half.
Lin: thanks for the links to the videos. I'd seen the Johnny/Jack one before (but I could watch it all day) but the princess one was new to me. Very cute!
I tooke Emma with me to the dr. today and she was so funny, at the checkin desk, which is higher than Emma's head, she stuck her Minnie Mouse doll over the edge and scared the heck out of the girl working there because she didn't see Emma - who of course found the whole thing hilarious. And then Emma saw my Minnie antenna topper on the car, which I finally got on there yesterday, and she said, "Oh, it's beautiful!" That's my girl!!
