Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 3

It's not a "wild and wacky" kind of story.......it's more of a "hey, that's pretty cool" kind of story.

Anyway, this was our 2005 Disney World trip. We went to Disney and stayed at the Poly. We had a fabulous stay – even with the “luggage” incident. (Have I told you about the “luggage incident”?)

Well during this trip, we used Disney’s Magical Express to get from the airport to WDW, then used Happy Limo to get from the Poly to the Hard Rock. Well, we booked a van from Happy Limo. And it was a nice van.

Well, on our final day, our flight didn’t leave until about 5 p.m., so we swam a little that morning before going out to wait on our van. So, here we all are sitting outside of the Hard Rock when this HUGE H2 Hummer Limo pulls up. The driver gets out and holds up a sign “POZEY”. My DW looks at me and says “Is that for US?” Well, it sure looks like it. Seems the van had broken down and the Hummer Limo was the only option Happy Limo had to come pick us up.

Turns out, it was the largest Limo in all of Florida. They already had The Incredibles playing on the DVD for the kids and drinks chilled.

It was a highlight of our trip.

Ashley: I dreamed about you last night! You called me all upset because you broke up with Jeremiah, and you didn't know why you did it. You just kept saying, "He's so good to me, why would I do that?" Of course, I also dreamed that Simon from American Idol shaved my head and tattooed a face on the back... this is what happens when I don't take my Ambien.

I'm in a lot of pain today, I even briefly considered not going to work. Then I figured I'm not going to feel any better if I stay home, so I may as well not use up any PTO.

Since Chase won't begin kid pitch until next year, I think I will only enroll him in the hitting clinic. I might enroll him in the "skills" clinic as well, but he is such a good fielder, I may not.

And yes, even at such a very young age, the pressure to have the "best" (i.e. - most expensive) stuff is great. But at such a young age, the ability to get the most out of the "better" equipment is very minimal.

Forget about all that, get the kids a singlet, a pair of wrestling shoes, and get 'em on the mat!

Michele is a whole book of knowledge when it comes to Disney.

I worked there for 3 years and don't know half the stuff she does. Actually on this trip she told me some interesting facts that I did not know......
Like did you know on the Haunted Mansion when your car turns backwards at that point your dead?.... She will have to give more of the details, she is a much better story teller than I am, but it was very interesting and explained the ride. She will also have to tell you about the pathway in the streets of Liberty square, and the shutters

...........She helped make this trip so much more interesting for me! Together we both took the time to notice things we had never seen before, even after being in the parks and on the rides a million times. I will always take more time from now on to enjoy what I'm seeing instead of the rushing from ride to ride and place to place!

OK, now most of this was told to me on the Keys to the Kingdom tour years ago.

Remember on Haunted Mansion...you have just seen the bride in the attic of the mansion. As you leave the mansion you are actually falling out of the attic window. At this point your buggy turns so you are falling to your death. When you reach the bottom is when you see the cemetary caretaker and his dog. The reason they are so scared and shaking is because they are seeing a ghost right in front of them...YOU!!

Now in Liberty Square...I tried to find a picture...I don't have a good one, I found one on Google, I hope it works. If someone else has a better one...please post it.

If you look at the ground you can see that there is a kind of winding path that is in a beigy, yellow color....the reason for this is, in the interest of authenticity, that is to simulate the 'waste' that would run in the streets during this time period.

Also if you look closely you should notice that the shutters are hanging crooked. This is because during the Revolutionary War England would not send anything made of metal to the colonies, they didn't want it made into bullets. Well since we are so tricky, the colonists took all the existing metal they could find, which included the hinges on the shutters, and melted them down into bullets. Because they still needed their shutters they used leather straps to replace the hinges. Naturally over time the leather would stretch...hence the crooked shutters.

Also, if you can find them...the house numbers on the buildings in Liberty Square signify the year its style comes from. They also go in order from oldest to most recent.
