YM: those pictures are making me hungry too! I notice you took mostly dessert pictures - a girl after my own heart. ;) Sadly, most of my food pictures didn't get rescued off of my memory card.

YM----you forgot this for aid in digestion.:lmao: :thumbsup2

p.s. I'd forgotten that you took a picture of the sorbet---I was trying to describe it to my momma. Hmmm, I wonder what that spice was in the cherry sorbet. :confused3 :cutie: The tangerine was yum!!!!

Ashley: I found a new smilie for you
1228.gif

That is so cute Lesa!!! Where do you guys find all the smilies??

I've been called for Jury Duty once. I registered to vote in 2004 because thats the year I turned 18 and I wanted to vote in the presidental election...Well I haven't changed my license so I can't register here in Virginia, I don't drive so it isn't a very big deal, and they sent a jury summons to my mom's house. Apprerently my living in a different state was enough of a reason to be excused. :thumbsup2 (thumb)

I personally wanted to go! I tried to see if I could get a flight down but it didn't work out. I am a nut, I used to watch Court TV and all the trials when our cable station used to get it, now its not on the line up anymore. :confused3 I used to watch Forensic Files, etc. The only thing I don't think I could do is see the dead people pictures if it were a murder trial. :scared: That would tramatize me too much! I can "sort of" watch it at home when they show them, but I watch it like I would watch Freddy Kruger when I was little, (and like Emma was doing when riding Pirates :teeth: ) with both hands over my eyes and my fingers open alittle so I can still see. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

(.....I still can't believe my parents used to let me watch that show when I was little!!)

I was going to post a picture of my charity potato, but it got lost in my memory card so you'll just have to imagine it.

For those of you who missed it, here's the story. When we went to Le Cellier on our first night, I was having a little sticker shock at the prices and remorse about not getting the DDP. Also, the smallest steak on the menu was about 4 times bigger than what I usually order, and can't finish. So... I decided to just order off the kids' menu for Emma and my plan was to share with her - I am really not a very big eater. Well Emma ended up falling asleep shortly after ordering, so like any good mom would do... I ate her food. I did save her some carrot sticks, celery and fries, but I ate her steak. About halfway through, the waitress came over to me - keep in mind I was seated in the middle of a long table holding 10 out of 14 of us - and said, "We have an extra baked potato, you can have it" and she plunked down a nice hot potato on a little plate. We were all joking around about how she must have thought I was poor and so she gave me a "charity potato." It was all very weird, but I had a good laugh about it.

BTW - it was pretty tasty.

That was pretty funny. :lmao:

What kind of steak was that? Was it like a filet or what? Just wondering. :teeth:

Can you tell I'm absolutely starving?

I'm going to attempt to post some photos before Oprah comes on------that is one good thing about not making any money today due to the weather----I really wanted to watch Oprah with Dr. Whatshisname. Lesa, it was pretty funny, huh??

Okay, here we go.....

"our place" ---the night of P&P Party. This caught my eye with the reflection in the water.

IMG_1811MediumWebview.jpg

as said before, my fireworks shots just didn't turn out well. I took tons, and this is the only one that is halfway okay.:confused3 What am I doing wrong?? I guess another trip is a must so I can practice.:rolleyes1

According to the waitress, it was "like a sirloin." I'm still not sure exactly what that meant, but it wasn't bad. Then again, I like my steak thin and well done and smothered in steak sauce, so I'm not the best judge.

2x: those pictures are great!! It almost seems like we were not even all on the same vacation, because so many of us did so many different things. I'm so sad that I missed DeVine.

Linda-- Leave some RC brochures laying for Mike and let him think he picked the vacation for 2008;)
That is a GREAT idea :) thanks!!! ;)

I concur......keep the photos coming. But I do have a gripe......I can't see them at work. You remember me telling you how my work was blocking some sites? Well, they have eased up on blocking some sites……I can at least get here. But something in their setup, I cannot view some pictures. Now, some I can see……others I can’t. Like, I can see the picture of the muffins Donna made, but I can’t see any of the pictures Lesa posted.

I will agree about Royal Caribbean. We had a great time on their ships. For me, that is one major advantage they have over Disney when it comes to cruise lines.......I LOVE the big Mega Ships. Some people might prefer a smaller ship, but I like the bigger ones.

I read where Disney is considering adding a couple new ships to their line. I think that would be great if they would build a couple of the mega ships.
They just did that to me yesterday too. Can't see the photobucket stuff:sad2: so I didn't get on much at work, just in case.

We're actually considering sailing on the Freedom next year - they go to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Haiti - instead of a short Disney cruise. We can cruise for a for a whole week for less than the 4 night Disney cruise. I know it seems blasphemous to even consider going on a different line, but it was like pulling teeth to get Erin to even consider a different line. But the money saved is so significant!! (a few THOUSAND) But, now she's excited about possibly going on the Freedom, and DH is ready to go. No problem there. The staterooms are so much smaller though, we have to get a suite to get the same square footage as a regular verandah stateroom on the Wonder.
I know what you mean! I'm thinking of trying RC too. Even though Kenny is only going to be 6 or 7 on our next cruise. Way to go Erin  she's a loyal Disney lover too :)

Hi everyone!!!

First I wanted to say:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

birthdayCake_orig.gif

because it's my Mom's birthday today and she sometimes lurks on here. :thumbsup2 (thumb!)
(I had to steal a piece, I couldn't resist, you guys know how much I love birthday cake!!!)
Actually, I wanted to ask everyone for some pixie dust because Jeremiah might be flying home to Ft.Lauderdale this week for a job interview. It would stink for me because I would be here alone for a whole day :sad2: without any transportation but it would be WONDERFUL if we could move back home and get out of this cold!!!
Happy Birthday to your mom! Good luck Jeremiah and Hi to him since I saw him post here too and say maybe he could go next time too...that would be so cool!!

I hope everyone facing yucky weather stays warm and safe!!! Its windy today, so windy that it broke my gate on our fence and I had to tie it closed with a bungy cord! Called Chris and let him know so he can fix it when he gets home tonight; I'll be at work.

Of to find some lunch!!!
We're getting 8-14" today:scared: I HATE SNOW!! Thankfully I had to stay home today anyway since I had court this morning... x trying to decrease the child support to next to nothing:sad2: but we'll have to see..now we have another date set for April 1st to see if we can settle something by then.

Love the pix everyone!! YM, those desserts look fantastic!!! I'm practically drooling!!!

Lesa...her mickey project is too awesome!!! She did an incredible job!

Well, buy the looks of it, I'll be home tomorrow too:woohoo:

2x...I love the castle pix w/the reflection!!! Good luck w/the weather and your treatments! Thankfully my boss doesn't even expect me if its nasty out. Not worth taking the chance of being in an accident...I'll just work from here!

Everyone else getting all this nasty snow and ice...be careful and stay warm! We've got the generator ready just in case ;)

Time to lay down AGAIN and try to get rid of this headache I've had for 2 days.

lyzziesmom...so cool you got your table set!! keep saving for that next vacation...that's too cool!

Linda: a 2-day headache? Yick!! I have never done a RC cruise but my parents have, they said it's very nice. I think they have lots of things for kids, maybe not as much as DCL but I'm sure Kenny would love it anyway. I know Lyzzie LOVED our Carnival cruise.

Wow everyone has been busy!!!

YM and 2x2...I love all the pix!! Seeing them makes the trip seem real again. It is starting to feel like it was all a dream!!

Linda...your stinky old ex is at it again, eh? What a crud!! Hope you can get rid of your headache:headache:

I've never been on any kind of cruise. Maybe someday!

We are supposed to get about 6 inches of snow today. We got about 2 inches yesterday. Hopefully we will have a snow day tomorrow! (I need a fingers crossed smilie)

Went to my appointment this afternoon. Took about 20 minutes to get there and 55 minutes to get home. The drive home took forever, no one was going over 30 mph. Esp me!!:scared: It didn't help that I had to go to the bathroom for the whole ride home:eek: ( sorry )

I have to figure out what we are having for dinner now. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute. popcorn:: Popcorn looks good enough to me!

Yeah he's always pulling something.:sad2: we already have gotten 6" so far today:scared: they are now calling for total of 8-16! YUCK YUCK YUCK! They already cancelled Kennys school for tomorrow. I've pretty much decided I'm working from here tomorrow too ;)! Hope you have a snow day tomorrow too! That is my luck too...the long drive and have to "go"! popcorn:: popcorn does sound good. We just had sloppy joes. Cruise someday for sure!!!! I absolutely love it!!

the counties around us are under a blizzard warning:scared1: ewe!!!!

2xcited2slp, thank you so much for the "shout-out". I was so surprised
that I flew backward three feet in my chair!! Even my DH laughed at
the post.
Don't worry, we are very aware of how blessed we have been with our
wonderful family. You seem to be such a special gal yourself. Stay
strong and keep your wonderful sense of humor.

I just loved your picture of the castle with its reflection.

Awww, I am grinning from ear to ear right now!!

When I learned that you are a "fan" of ours, I just had to say hello. I hope I didn't embarrass you, but the girls assured me that you wouldn't be.

Thank you!!

Hi 2x2s!! :wave2:
I guess I will have to log on tonight and check you everyone’s pictures!!

The kiddies are good. Colton told me yesterday he was going to ask Kayla to be his “girlfriend” tomorrow (Valentine’s Day). So, we’ll see how that goes. He bought her a Valentine’s card yesterday he is going to give to her.

Pozey---

This is so sweet!!! Good luck to Colton!! We'll be cheering him on.

Way to go, too, on your shoe bargain. I'm impressed.:thumbsup2

Hi everyone. We are getting a nice ice storm here in Delaware. Hopefully it will clear up before tomorrow afternoon when I need to head to work.

YM-Where were you sitting at Le Cellier? I didn’t see all of those desserts and I would have remembered that Canadian Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake.

2xcited2slp-Come on. Quit holding out on us. Where are those pictures of Captain Jack? Did you find what port he was talking about?

Michele-I just finished cooking. We are having chili on this very COLD night. We have more than enough for you and your family if you want to brave this weather.

Linda-Yay for Kenny’s school closing! I always loved it when we were able to stay home from school.

Lin-Sorry about your gate. It must have been really windy.

Lyzziesmom-I’m sorry the picture of your charity potato didn’t turn out. That was pretty funny. I loved it when you asked the waitress what kind of steak it was. She got this deer in the headlights look as was like uhhh, it’s like a sirloin. Ok whatever that means.

Ashley-Good luck to Jeremiah. Thank would be great if he got the job. Ruby could be a Florida dog and enjoy the warm weather.

Lesa-Sorry about your toe. Hope it gets better soon. What is with these runners? First bleeding nippies and now toenails. No wonder I don’t run.

Pozey-Good luck to Colton.

To anyone I may have missed Hello. I’m still new and trying to get to know everyone.

I wanted to share a picture from Kona. It is made out of chocolate and I think it is 3 years old.

Also from the new Nemo ride. My favorite part is the seagulls. They are on a timer and every so often start turning their heads and saying "Mine, Mine" I could have watched them all day.

Hey Sherri!! It was great to meet you. That is my favorite part of the new Nemo ride, too!!!

And thanks for the well wishes!!! Actually, Ruby is already a Florida dog, although I don't think she remembers it...We got her from my hometown, the day after Christmas 2005! :) Its fun because she is a Floridian just like me & her daddy!! :teeth: She seems to enjoy it there when we visit!!
