Weird stuff going on here at work today... my supervisor is quitting at the end of the day for unspecified reasons and she said some stuff that sounded like she was encouraging me to quit as well. Things like "I can give you my contact info and you can use me as a reference if you need to," etc. I wonder if she knows something I should know? The whole admin department is quite edgy today.

ETA: no formal announcement has been made, so nobody really knows what's going to happen after today. My supervisor's position is HR, she is the only HR person we have onsite.

That certainly would have me scratching my head! Maybe it's nothing, maybe she found a better job. I hope it's nothing for you to be worried about!

It might be a blessing in disguise though because you always say how you want to get a better, more in depth job...Do get her info though in case you want to use her as a reference! That is always handy!


Actually, I wanted to ask everyone for some pixie dust because Jeremiah might be flying home to Ft.Lauderdale this week for a job interview. It would stink for me because I would be here alone for a whole day without any transportation but it would be WONDERFUL if we could move back home and get out of this cold!!!

Amber, Our Disney store barely has any adult stuff!! I'm jealous!! Although, I think I'd spend too much money in there if it did have adult stuff so maybe it is a good thing.

Nobody's really sure what's going on with my supervisor. She just said she's not the right fit for the job (she started a few weeks after I did) and something about how everything is blamed on her and things were handled badly, and she doesn't know what she'll do now but anything is better - so I'm guessing she hasn't gotten another job yet - plus it will be hard for her because she is visibly pregnant. She has been holed up in her office since lunchtime.

Hello Cliqueless pals! The Finger Lakes chocolate and wine tour this weekend was a blast. DH and I came home with 1 1/2 cases. I have never done a tour before and it was really fun. Each winery sure had its own personality-some snotty and some laid back and friendly. You can guess which wineries we bought wine from.

Anyhow, I am spending tonight watching the weather forecast. I would love to have a snow day, but that means we will have to make it up this Friday and it was scheduled to be a four day weekend. I guess I shouldn't whine.

If we have the 10 inches of snow that is forecasted, I am sure I'll be hanging out here and looking for the free breakfasts on Wednesday.

I only have a minute, but I just have to share something great that happened today. I have been looking for a new dining set for a very long time, the one I had was a small kitchen set I got for my first apartment 10+ years ago, and the chairs were all mismatched. A few weeks ago, I saw the perfect set at Sam's Club for about $600. Today I noticed there was only one left, and it was down to $375 for the table & 4 chairs. I mentioned it to my parents at dinner, at my dad offered to buy it for me and let me pay them back next week when my taxes come! So we went & got it - it's got a couple little scratches but nothing noticeable, and it's gorgeous... just what I've been looking for for about 3 years!! Everything else I've seen that is similar is close to $2000. What an awesome deal!!

Off to watch the rest of Heroes, but I just HAD to share, I'm so happy!!

Happy Birthday to Ashley's Mom!! Sorry I didn't get to meet her. We just seemed to go in opposite directions.

I never did get to say good-bye to Lyzziesmom or you (Ashley). On the night of the P&P party I got terribly sick and actually had to leave the party early on. I didn't even get to see the fireworks. But, in true Disney commando fashion (hey, I didn't pay $80 for Steven and I to go to that party for nothin') I did get back in for the last hour of the party where I was able to see 2x, Donna and YM for a little bit and tell them goodbye .

Lyzziesmom, I hope Emma is feeling better!! We got such a kick out of her and we've got some great pictures too! I especially love the ones where she's feeding Steven sprinkles or something at CP.

Well, I've got to run. . . hope to be back and spend some time tomorrow on the thread.

Lesa, I loved the Wanted Poster. That rotten Brandon! I have a few pictures of the scoundrel myself and I think Linda and maybe Kenny are in it too. I've got the pictures on the computer but not uploaded to Photobucket yet.

I've got to get over to the TR board and find that thread about the people who got to stay in the castle.

I didn't have a TurtleKrawl but one night (when it was REALLY cold) I think it was Tuesday night Steven and I made our way down to the Gurgling Suitcase for "hot" drinks w/ a little Kahlua and Bailey's and I saw DznyFans license plate. Very cool!! I didn't have my camera or I would have taken a picture.

April, I was disappointed I didn't get to say Goodbye to you, (actually to almost everybody) but I know there is always next trip!! I can't wait!! I want to hang out with you more next trip!!! I was also sad you didn't get to meet my Mom but like you said, it just didn't work out!! Def. next time- because my mom really enjoyed meeting 2x, Donna, YM, Linda, Mike & Kenny, and Lyzziesmom and Emma!!! She wants to meet everybody. Jeremiah wants to, too! I think Steven and him would get along great!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone, I passed them on to my Mom just incase she didn't see them on here herself! I felt bad because I went to send her birthday present Saturday but the postoffice had already closed, so she won't get it until Wednesday!! Better late than never, though!!

OH! P.S. Jeremiah & I decided to join Netflix after that incident with Hollywood Video...(I think I posted about that?) Does anybody have any movies to recommend?? Since it is unlimited rentals every month! If anybody wants to join- let me know and I think I have emails to send for a free 2 week trial! Our plan is $17.99/month but there are plans for as low as $5.99. It is worth it for us, because we are known to rack up alot of late fees.

Hey April...glad to see you back! We were looking up at the castle windows the same night the castle trip report was written...who knows maybe one of those flashes was a camera flash. Lesa...great 100 days of school "Mickey" project...very creative! Yeah Madison! Oh....if we could only get that wanted poster to Brandon. You need to post that on the YOMD thread over on the theme park board. Didn't he say they checked it out to see what the DISer's had to say? Has anyone sent in any postcards?
