Madison completed her 100th day project. She glued 100 Mickey glitter heads into the Mickey she made.

Hi everyone!!!

After hearing about the snow storm thats coming tomorrow, Jeremiah and I decided to go to the grocery store for some much needed essentials. While in the candy aisle, I was reminded of something that happened on our little trip.

Lyzziesmom, Emma and I were in the FQ gift shop. Lyzziesmom asked me to look after Emma while she was returning a shirt that didn't fit her. Somehow, we ended up at the candy section and Emma found the Pez. Apparently, this is her favorite candy and her and Lyzziesmom had been searching for it for quite a while (I think they had found it that day or the day before at a park.)

Anyway, as soon as Emma spotted it she started screaming, "MOM!!! LOOK! I FOUND THE PEZ! MOMMY, PEZ!" and Lyzziesmom screams across the store "OH, GOOD EMMA! YOU FOUND THE PEZ" and she was laughing hysterically too. I don't know they this struck me as so funny and cute, probably because Emma seems pretty shy at first and I just thought it was so adorable that she got so excited about it. Then it was even more adorable because she started arranging the refill candy all in a row because it was thrown in the bin and looking messy.

Anyway, this little story made me smile after I remembered it, I've been suffering from the post-Disney vacation blues!

Ashley: I've been telling everyone that story! (Pez is her favorite.. she even sleeps with her Pez dispensers, how silly!) And then about how I didn't know you told her I'd buy her a lollipop, and then when I got to you I told her, "NO you can't have a lollipop!" and the sad look on her little face... cracks me up!! I didn't know she was rearranging the candy, I wish she would do that at home! (with toys I mean, not candy. We don't have THAT much candy at home.)

Lesa: those are GREAT pictures! Were they all from this trip? I think I look a little thin in that group shot, but my hat looks great on me. That Mickey project is too cute!

You guys were very chatty today! I have been busy all day taking care of my little sickie. I'm insisting that my mom take her to the dr. tomorrow, if she still doesn't want to, then I'm taking off work to take her. It's been a week, and she still is sleeping all day and not eating at all. I get so mad at my mom for not taking me seriously when I say I want her to see the dr, I mean she is MY child and I am the mom here. I know it's not the same, but I listened to her when my cat was sick and I didn't take him to the vet, she thought he'd get better on his own. Well, he didn't and I lost the best cat I'd ever had to a cancerous growth, by the time I did take him in it was too embedded in his ribs to remove. It's not the same at all, but that's what I think of when I hear her say, "Emma will be fine, she will get better with time." It's been a week, I think that's enough time. Sorry for the rant.

It sounds like so many of you were in the MK on Tuesday, I wish I had known! I was there with Emma and didn't see any of you.

I know there was more I wanted to say but it's late and I'm pooped. But I did want to say "HI" to Jeremiah - I had a great time with Ashley (thank you SOOO much for giving her the trip!) and I hope you can join us next time... hopefully it will be soon! Hello and goodnight to everyone else. Keep those pictures coming!! I am hoping to be able to post some soon, I just need to get them onto Photobucket. With so many, it's very overwhelming and I need to decide which ones to do first. Who knows, maybe I'll take a stab at a pictorial TR before I forget!

I actually got to read the trip report from the family that spent the night in the castle the night we were at the P&P Party!!! It's so funny that we talked to a CM doing some cleaning after 12:30 am and she explained to us exactly where the windows to the room were. That family was up there that night!!! Too funny!!
I guess you have all heard that Sat. the 3rd; while waiting for our ADR's at 50's PTC; a young CM named Brandon started chatting with us about the Year of a Million Dreams and the Dream Squad. After asking us where we were from and all of us explaining about the Dis and the Cliqueless bunch, he told us he was from the Dream Squad, but not working at that time!!! Brandon was the only evidence of the Dream Squad we ever saw with the exception of the silver mouse ears upon occasion!!
Anyway, I guess where I was actually going with this....I have a pic of lyzziesmom, April and Michele with Brandon. Is that the pic everyone else has too??? Just curious.

Lesa:: Tell Madison her 100th day project is amazing!!! She did a super job!! Nathan had to make a Valentine box for school last night and then address his Valentines.


April:: Welcome, home!! That Steven is a sweety......and don't let him tease you too much about your keyboarding while you talk!!! He's hilarious!!! I was excited to hear you got to extend your trip and I'm so glad you all got to come!!!


Ashley:: That sounds like such a cute Emma story!! She is a total doll and seems like such and easy-going young lady!!! You can tell she's been to WDW a lot and she seems to know the routine.
Tell Jeremiah to come right along next time!!! I may have to bring my guys if these conventions get too frequent.

I did go back to the Disney Store Saturday. I bought the watch and another snowglobe. I am not going back there for a while. I can't not spend money there. Our store has a TON of adult stuff; I think they now have more clothes than plush! I never thought I'd see that day.

Linda-- Leave some RC brochures laying for Mike and let him think he picked the vacation for 2008 Really I loved RC and had a blast. They do have a kids program but my trip was with my best friend and we were kid and husband free so I can't tell you much about that. The ships are huge!!!!! I was on Mariner of the Seas and they have an ice skating rink on board. The Freedom is even bigger! Very fun, but definately not Disney! Just a different, more adult atmosphere. I had a great time on the shore excursions-- but I like to do all the water/adventure kinds of things-- My BF who was with me is more of a shopping and ship kind of gal so we just split up during the day and met up at night when we were docked.

Monday came way to fast this week. I've gotta do accounting all day and then our taxes. I'm stalling but I should get off of here and get moving soooo-- Have a great day everyone!

I concur......keep the photos coming. But I do have a gripe......I can't see them at work. You remember me telling you how my work was blocking some sites? Well, they have eased up on blocking some sites……I can at least get here. But something in their setup, I cannot view some pictures. Now, some I can see……others I can’t. Like, I can see the picture of the muffins Donna made, but I can’t see any of the pictures Lesa posted.

Oh, well, I guess I’ll just have to wait until I get home to see all the great Disney pictures.

Oh, and one other thing……they have completely blocked any websites that are deemed “Personal storage” – i.e. Photobucket. Bummer.

I will agree about Royal Caribbean. We had a great time on their ships. For me, that is one major advantage they have over Disney when it comes to cruise lines.......I LOVE the big Mega Ships. Some people might prefer a smaller ship, but I like the bigger ones.

I read where Disney is considering adding a couple new ships to their line. I think that would be great if they would build a couple of the mega ships.

I woke up last night around 3am and realized I forgot to say...

WELCOME BACK APRIL AND STEVEN!!!

Whew, I feel much better now. Donna, that Brandon made me so mad!! "Are you sure you haven't seen anyone from the Dream Squad? Well I'm one!" and we all got SO excited, and then he dropped the bomb of "But I don't have anything for you." So then WHY oh WHY did you even have to mention it?? April, Sherri and I did see another Dream Squad member outside of RnR that same morning, but we didn't realize that's who he was. He stopped us to comment on our matching Micken sweaters and then went on his merry way.

While I was in the MK with Emma on Tues. morning I did see a DS member talking to a little girl and her family just inside the entrance, in front of the train station. I overheard him asking her if she had seen Cinderella yet, and would she like to. I only heard bits & pieces of the rest, but he had a clipboard and I think he was making reservations for them at CRT for lunch or dinner that day. I remember thinking good thing it wasn't me, because I had to leave that day and would have been so mad if we won something we couldn't use!!

We're actually considering sailing on the Freedom next year - they go to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Haiti - instead of a short Disney cruise. We can cruise for a for a whole week for less than the 4 night Disney cruise. But the money saved is so significant!! (a few THOUSAND) But, now she's excited about possibly going on the Freedom, and DH is ready to go. No problem there. The staterooms are so much smaller though, we have to get a suite to get the same square footage as a regular verandah stateroom on the Wonder.

It's a high of 28 today. We had a bit of snow last night, and more to come tonight. The kids are hoping for a snow day. The big snows usually pass just south of us, so I'm not looking for much. (Knocking on wood)!

Thanks for the great muffins Donna! Madison loves to see what your serving for breakfast every morning. I guess to see if it's better than what I'm whipping up. Please send some of your 4o degrees up this way. It is suppose to go back down to single digits and lows below 0.

Where did you get the Mickey glitter heads??

Madison was glowing with pride this morning reading all the comments on her project. She worked hard on it. Last year she drew a fish bowl and glued 100 gold fish in it. I got the M glitter heads in Disney. They sell them with the scrapbook stuff. However, if you look down while walking through the Magic Kingdom you can collect a bunch of them.

Weird stuff going on here at work today... my supervisor is quitting at the end of the day for unspecified reasons and she said some stuff that sounded like she was encouraging me to quit as well. Things like "I can give you my contact info and you can use me as a reference if you need to," etc. I wonder if she knows something I should know? The whole admin department is quite edgy today.

ETA: no formal announcement has been made, so nobody really knows what's going to happen after today. My supervisor's position is HR, she is the only HR person we have onsite.
