Well, I can't seem to come up with something as wonderful for breakfast as some of our Cliqueless Crew served up in my absence. Great job, btw!!!!
I think I'll serve up something to warm our bones and get us moving today. How about some hot oatmeal?

I hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!!!:goodvibes

Welcome Back!!! I can't wait to hear all about the trip; I'm glad everyone had a good time (even if it was cold).

Lyzziesmom, I hope Emma feels better soon. So, now that you have an AP, when are you going back???

It snowed last night, about two inches. The good news is it's warmer than the last few days. Other than that, nothing really exciting is happening.

Have a great day everyone!!! (and I expect pictures soon) :)

Hi everyone, I'm back!! We had a really fun time, even though it was cooold - I had to buy a thermal shirt and Emma was wearing gloves yesterday! I don't think I'll be traveling alone with a toddler again anytime soon. She was a lot of fun, but she really slowed me down a lot. We didn't really spend a lot of time together as a whole group, but we kind of broke up into little groups and met up for some meals and sometimes just ran into each other... that was really neat! The time went by so fast, I didn't get to spend enough time with some of you but it was a lot of fun (did I say that already?) Of course there were some things that didn't go according to plan, but doesn't that always happen? The one thing I was really sad about was that I didn't get to properly say goodbye to anyone today. Nobody ended up coming to the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare - I knew some were not going, and then my phone was out of range in some areas of WDW so I didn't get the message from others until after I was already done. So just Emma and I had breakfast, but I was really hoping to meet up with everyone one last time. Emma got sick at some point last night or today, she woke up coughing and wouldn't eat all day -- we had to leave Park Fare without seeing Alice or the Mad Hatter because she just wanted to sit in my lap. And of course being the last day, I was already in a bad mood.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in and report that we missed those of you who didn't come, and I'm already missing those of you who were there with me! The time flew by, I wish we'd had more time together but I hope we will next time - and EVERYONE will come!

I upgraded my ticket this morning to an AP - my very first!! I got an awesome deal on it, I think I was pixie dusted a little bit. I had had the package with the free water park options, and the guy brought my ticket up to current value and then let me upgrade to the regular AP, not the Premium, since I hadn't used any plus options yet, so it cost me very little to upgrade. After the morning I'd had with Emma not feeling well and getting up so early for the breakfast, and after the 2 late nights before that, it really put me in a much better mood! I'm already trying to plot when I can go back, and take Lyzzie next time.

I'm going to bed now, it'll be so nice to sleep in my own bed!! And I can't believe I have to work in the morning!! I will catch up with the rest of you tomorrow at work -- unless they have blocked it like they did (temporarily) to pozey!

Good night to ALL my cliqueless buddies!!

WElCOME BACK!! I'm sorry Emma started feeling bad that is your worst fear when traveling with toddlers period. Sounds like you had a great time and congrats on the upgrade to AP! If I would've bought one last March we'd have gotten our moneys worth, I'm trying to get Darin to invest in AP for this trip we havent' ordered our tickets so there is still time!

Welcome back to Donna also!! Just back and already serving up warm and nutritous breakfasts!

I don't know if I mentioned to anyone that I'm contemplating the 1/2 marathon at Disney for next January (thus the Donald '08 in my sig). As long as you can keep a 16 minute mile it doesn't matter if you are walking or running or a combination. Anyway it's been soooo cold here that I've not attempted to get out and walk or run but I had a friend call me yesterday and ask me if I'd like to run. So I meet here in the freezing cold and walked/ran the 1st mile in 13 minutes and then walked the 2nd in 17 minutes. I'm aching and sore but I'm determined tomorrow to get out and at least walk at a fast clip. My friend is a big runner, teaches cross-country running to kids etc so she was encouraging to run with but I felt like I was going to die and my eyeballs or rather the contacts on my eyeballs felt like they were frozen!:rotfl2: Talk to you all later!

I wish I could say it's great to be home! It's freezing here!!!!:cold: The hot water pipe to the shower was frozen while I was gone and no one could shower. Dh got it running and was able to shower yesterday morning, but by afternoon no hot water in the shower again! No shower for me.:scared:

We had such a great time! It was so wonderful to get to meet everyone!:yay: Like Michele said, everyone was exactly how I thought they would be! :yay: I'm already looking forward to our next cliquless convention!!!:cheer2: The weather wasn't what we had hoped for, but much better than home so it was hard to complain!;) The sun finally came yesterday and I actually got some sun on my face. It's a little pink.:cutie:

Well I've got to run and get my babies ready for school. I'll check back later!

By the way we missed those of you that couldn't make it and hope you can make it next time!:yay:

Stay warm everyone!:beach:

I've done a little research on the ITA thing - I will/won't work out of my house, because I won't quit my job... (at least for a while, I'm sure). I know that it's tough to start your 'own' agency out. There are a number of web based agencies through whom a person can affiliate themselves, and they vary on commission paid, etc. There's a charge to use the software, get support, have web hosting capablilities, access to their training (online); and as an ITA a person then is under their umbrella for being 'members' of the various associations that travel agents are affiliated with - such as CLIA or ASTA. There's a lot that I DON'T know, and a lot that I can't even begin to explain...
Some friends of ours are ITAs affiliated thru Gulliver's, and I know that MEI Travel/Mouse Fan Travel allows people to apply to be an ITA. DH found one with reasonable fees, good support and good commissions.

This is what I do on a part time basis at home! It is fun to help people out with Disney and I've done some trips other than Disney but they are more "work" for me and that's not fun for me so I'm sticking to Disney. I'm also thinking about charging a fee to plan itineraries based on their interest as something extra. I think you'll enjoy it!

Good morning all!

Welcome back to all our traveling crew!

:cheer2: Yeah Colton and Chase :cheer2:

Nicole-- My cousin is a pastery chef and loves it!

As far as cruises-- I was on Mariner of the seas about a year and a half ago and had a great time! We'll be taking our first Disney cruise in December. What I like about cruising is getting to go to different places without having to pack and unpack!

I wish I was Samantha Brown. ummm.. maybe not. I love my family.. but her job... sometimes it would be nice to travel more....

Sorry to hear that it's been so cold for some of you. We actually made it up to 55 yesterday! :cool1: More snow is on the way for the weekend however. I'll take the sun when I can get it!

Have a great day everyone!

I hadn't seen Road Trip (saw the commercials for it) but I LOVED Feasting on Asphalt! But, I'm a huge Alton fan.... I really hope he tapes another series of that. I sent his production company a note about a place in Stroud that I recommended he go to, called the Rock Cafe. The Rock is owned by a girl named Dawn, who was the inspiration for "Sally" the Porsche, in Cars. Apparently Lasseter and his crew stopped in there one day driving old Route 66 researching for the film. The Rock is a little hole in the wall place with the most AWESOME (and cheap) food - and it turns out Dawn is a good friend of a friend of ours. We took a little road trip this summer to go see her and eat there, and it was great!! So - I had to recommend it for the Alton show. I know - I'm such a dork.
I have heard the story about the character “Sally” from the movie Cars being based on someone in Stroud. That is so cool that you actually know her. And it is also very cool that you contacted Alton’s production company about possibly featuring her if he does another Feasting on Asphalt series.

And if you do get a chance to see it…….watch Road Trip on Discovery Network.

Welcome back Donna, Michele and Lesa!!! And thanks for breakfast, Donna!

I guess it was cold for Florida for you guys down there, but I'm sure it was still better than where you would have been! It stinks to have to go back to the day to day grind, too!

Angela - part of what I want to do is serve as a 'consultant' as well (kind of like you mentioned, for an extra charge) - help them PLAN so they can make the most out of a Disney trip. The problem I've seen with people who've never been is that they don't know what to expect, and therefore don't get the most out of their trip. They spend time in long lines, they don't know about all the 'behind the scenes' stuff - just go for the big "rides", and they certainly don't plan in advance. In addition, for some, it's a total :scared1: to the wallet when they go to sit down to some meals and then wind up hating Disney because they feel like it was TOO expensive to go. We've taken friends like that. I think that in order to get the most out of your trip, it pays to be well educated about where you're going, what to expect, and what your options are. A lot of travelers just don't know where to go for this info. I'm excited - we're up and running, and now the training begins.....

G'day mates - and I'll check in a little later!

Lyzziesmom………welcome back!! We missed you. I’m glad you had a good trip. And yes, things never seem to go as planned all the time.

And that is GREAT about your AP!! And I’m sorry Emma wasn’t feeling well. Maybe that was her way of saying she didn’t want to leave either.

I'm back now too!!:cool1:

It was wonderful, even tho it was cold. I did get to spend some time laying in the sun by the pool this afternoon while waiting for ME. Even if I was in jeans and a t shirt. The sun felt great!!

It was so great to meet everyone! I think everyone in person was just like I expected them to be from here. If that makes sense, I am really tired.

I will catch up with what all of you have been up to some time tomorrow!

Have a great one and it's good to be home again!!:grouphug:
Welcome back.

I am looking forward to hearing about everyone's adventures!!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Welcome back Donna, Michele, and Lesa!!! We can't wait to hear more about the trip and see pics!

Good morning, Crew!!! Well, I made it back safely and it's back to work for me today too!!
Michele:: I'm glad you got to enjoy the sunshine yesterday!! I had to laugh and shake my head about the sun coming out on the day we were leaving. (Except that 2x2s gets to enjoy a day of relaxation there today.)
lyzziesmom:: Sorry to hear about Emma. The weather was awfully chilly in the evenings and I felt a twinge of a sore throat or sniffles a time or two myself.

I had a terrific night's sleep last night and the bed felt too comfy to leave.
Well, I'm off to make breakfast!!!!
And a big welcome back to you too Donna!!

Don't work too hard in the kitchen on that breakfast, okay?

I hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!!!:goodvibes

Thanks Donna..good choice! Warm and HEALTHY!

I made it home last night around 9pm. I could not believe what a warm day it was in Tulsa...warmer than Orlando. I see now that I'm back it's cool with a chance on of freezing rain and other snowy stuff.;) My DS came to the airport in shorts and a T-shirt.

The trip was fantastic! A few of us rode Dumbo at 12:25am on Tuesday morning! I rode Splash with Sherri and we were the only ones on the ride...just so different.:yay: We had lots of food, fun, rides, and Kenny and Emma were super sweet not to mention Kenny was a funny one!:rotfl2:

Here's a funny story from the plane ride home. I was so tired and had taken some dramamine for flying. I guess I dozed off and jerked so hard that I kicked the man sitting next to me. I was so sleepy I just patted him on his leg and apologized and went back to sleep.:rolleyes1 I did end up chatting with him a little before we got off the plane...they had a security breech so we had to sit on the runway for a while.

Well....I have lots laundry and stuff to catch up on.

It's nice to see everyone home....and those that were already home.:thumbsup2 I guess 2xcited, April, and Linda will join us soon!

Glad to have you back, YM!

yesterday was really our only nice day, so you really didn't miss out on anything. It was still much nicer where you were, trust me.

I don't exactly recall if Linda took a 3 or 4 night cruise, but if it was a 3, she will have disembarked this morning. If it's a 4, she has her day at sea, and she's cruising up and down eastern Florida coast.

Good morning everyone! I'm glad to see everyone who is home has made it back safely (all kicking incidents aside). That trip home is always so sad.

It's going to feel like a long week at work, even though it's only three days. Just coming back to work is tough, and I have to work through my lunches this week. Lyzzie's 2nd grade musical is on Friday afternoon, and I'm making up the time during lunches rather than take a 1/2 day of PTO.

Well it's official: Emma is sick. My mom called a few minutes ago to report that Emma slept very late this morning, ate one bite of waffle (her favorite) and is trying to go back to sleep. She has a slight fever. If it gets much worse she will be going to the doctor. The poor dear - I guess WDW was just too much excitement for her.

I haven't uploaded my pictures from my camera yet, but I was looking at the Photopass pictures this morning. A lot of them came out so cute! If anyone wants to see them, you can send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the link. A few of Ashley's pictures accidentally ended up on my card - I wonder if she has any of mine?

Hey DznyFan...thanks for the reassurance.;) It was just one warm shot of air I guess because I watched Travis's forecast last night.:sad2: We didn't see much sun at WDW but it only sprinkled on us a few times. I actually dressed a little too warm for the P&P party. I got to see OKW from the ME bus. I was thinking about the turtle crawl! The resort looked so nice.

POFQ was very lovely. It was nice and compact compared to Riverside. I had requested a king room so I was away from some of the group... close to the river. I snapped a couple of photos hopefully I will make it to the desk top and download sometime today.

Sorry to hear about Emma being sick. There was a little girl on the ME bus that could hardly talk she was so hoarse...those days of croup came flooding into my memory. I was actually stuffed up myself...too many weather changes and germs (anyone hear any coughing on the plane).:rolleyes1 Hope Emma gets to feeling better soon.princess:

Lyzziesmom, I sent you a PM. I hope Emma feels better soon. :wizard: I usually get sick when I go on vacation. I try to take vitamin C with me, but it doesn't always help.

YM, I can't believe you kicked a guy!
