Good evening everyone!

I got a postcard from April too! Thanks!

I just got out of my cake class. Last course I was the only one in there but now there are 8 including me!

Is this yur third course now? Or did more people join the class you were in? I really want to take a cake course!!!

Oh, Nicole, I started One for the Money last night and am almost totally done. I could have finished it in one sitting but I realized it was 3AM and I had to get up for work soon! I see why you guys like this series so much!

Yes it is the third course, I have one more left after this one. It's a new course working with fondant so that's why the class is packed.

:rotfl: I am so glad you like it!

Hey, I had the 11,000th post on our thread!!!!

 :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2: :woohoo: pixiedust: :rockband: :hyper2: :cake: party: :jumping2: :sail: :tinker: :ccat: :donald: :sulley: :tigger: :stitch: :dumbo:

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Here's a little something to get you going this morning

Angela, :woohoo: for getting to stay at the Poly!!! We are planning on staying there during our next trip. I just love that place.

Lin, that was nice of you to offer to follow that guy. Hopefully, he was able to get out of there and make it to the hospital.

It is FREEZING here. They said it's the coldest day in years. They are calling for snow tonight and then it's suppose to warm up (anything is better that 2º).

Have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!!

Good morning everyone!

It looks like a lot of you are in the deep freeze! Let's close our eyes and click our heels together 3 times and say: "I want to go to Hawaii, I want to go to Hawaii, I want to go to Hawaii" and maybe we'll end up here:

Well, a girl can dream right?

Looks like most of WDW group will be heading back today. Hope they had fun. Sure missed them being here, though.

Have a great day!

You are killing me. I need warm weather now! Although, it has been warming up. It's now 10º with a wind chill of -5º. Much better than first thing this morning.

Amber, that breakfast looks delicious!!

Good Morning!

Amber- Thanks for breakfast!

Our cliqueless buddies are on their way home today. I can't wait to hear about their trip!

Tues 2/06:
Departure Day (for most of us)
Breakfast: 1900 Park Fare @ GF 8:20am (may change to Chef Mickey's if 8am time available to include April & Sherri)
Undecided park for those of us who have time before leaving

Have a great day!

Amber, thank you so much for breakfast!

Sewer - that is really, really cold!! It's actually going to be pretty warm where we are today (for a change!)

Yolanda - that beach looks SO good! We watched a program we'd TIVOed this weekend that was a Samantha Brown show - about the Freedom Of The Seas (Royal Caribbean ship) and a 7 night cruise to Cozumel, and Jamaica and Haiti (and somewhere else). My DH was on the computer looking up and pricing their cruises, ready to go somewhere warm. Although I LOVE Disney cruising, it costs us almost twice as much - It would actually cost us significantly LESS to go on a 7 night RC cruise on one of their newer, nicer ships than a 4 night Disney cruise!

Lin, way to go, getting us to 11,000!! :woohoo: :dance3: party:

Wow, Nicole - your third class!! So what are you going to do with your new-found talent and ability? Are you going to pursue baking for a career?

Ooh! speaking of careers, my DH is setting me/us up as an ITA! We've talked about it for about a year now, then it got put on the back burner, now he's been researching who to affiliate me with. It will fulfill my dream to be a Disney 'consultant' (which I am anyway, I just don't get paid for it) and allow us to travel more as well! I'm very excited.

Pozey - how'd the boys do last night?

I got a post card from April too - totally made my day!

Although I do miss everyone who is in Florida, I'm still sad for those who are having to leave today.

Linda had her day at Nassau, Bahamas yesterday, and today is at Castaway Cay!!! (Oh, lucky, lucky Linda......) white sand beaches, lots of fun watersports, or possibly a cabana massage while Kenny is off with the other kids on the beach...

I would like to. Well maybe not full time. I just need more practice. A few weeks ago my teacher asked me if I wanted to join a "cake club" but I had to work.

That's great news!

I have seen a couple people on the Food Network challenges that never had real training. Their cakes are beautiful! I'm sure after some practice, you could open a side business. Cake decorators can make a fortune.

That's awesome!! I've looked into it too, but I'm still researching.

Amber, I love watching the challenges, I was watching one this weekend about wedding cakes and they looked amazing! It is my dream to make cakes like Collette Peters. And of course I love Ace of Cakes! I'll have to look at maybe getting a job at a bakery. I have plans to make my wedding cake, whenever that may be!:rotfl: Just watch, I'll become a full time cake decorator and becoming a Disney TA will be my side job instead of the other way around! I could become a pastry chef for WDW!:rotfl:

I hate departure day. I hate saying goodbye to Walt Disney World. It always feels like you just got there and settled in, and now you have to leave.

But at least they are having one last Character breakfast before leaving.

I can't wait to hear of their adventures!!

I'm kinda with you here. We've been on a couple of cruises (both before kids). One of them was on Royal Caribbean. We LOVED it. And as much as I LOVE Disney, and everything Disney related, I would probably go on another Royal Caribbean cruise. I LOVE their ships.

How cool would that be? So, what does it take to become an ITA? Can you work out of your home?

Pozey - how'd the boys do last night?
The boys swam great. Chase won all 3 of his events. He hasn't lost a race since his very first meet.
Colton won 3 out of 4 races. He slipped really bad on his backstroke start, and finished in 2nd. His coach moved him up to the 11/12 year old age bracket again. He won butterfly by almost 1/2 a pool length.

I got paid one of the nicest compliments I have ever had last night. Our team was the "host" team last night, so the parents of the swimmers on our team had to volunteer to be timers, hand out ribbons, and a few other things. Well, my "job" was to be the starter and announcer. I announced the events and called the racers to the blocks and started the races.

I also "help" the coach as much as I can by getting the swimmers in the right places and such. I love working with kids and coaching.

Well, anyway, after the meet, one of the parents of one of the swimmers from the other team came up and told me that she thought it was wonderful to see a dad so involved in their kids' activities. She said "That tells me all I need to know about you." That was SO nice.

I got a post card from April too - totally made my day!
Me too!! It was a very nice surprise. Totally unexpected!!

That's awesome!! I've looked into it too, but I'm still researching.
I remember someone in our group saying they were looking into it earlier this year, and I couldn't recall whom - I guess it was you! I don't expect to make millions, in fact, I don't expect to even be able to quit my day job (at least for a while) but if I can make a few extra bucks a month plus be able to get travel discounts, plus HAVE to go on cruises and trips for research.... gee I don't know if I can do that.... :lmao: Where do I sign up? I don't travel nearly as much as I would like to - Its a perfect fit.

I don't travel nearly as much as I would like to - I mean, I have a kid in high school, all my money goes to her to pay for various functions and events that she's involved with. BUT in another year I get 4 weeks of vacation with my regular job, and in a year and a half, she'll be in college... :sad1: And I can TRAVEL. Its a perfect fit.

You could be a pastry chef for WDW!!! Erin loves Ace of Cakes.

Yes, I don't expect to make a ton of money as a TA but it's what I want to go. I would love to have a show like Samantha Brown's "Great Hotels". But I am not perky or outgoing as her!

All this talk about cakes has me craving a ice cream cake!

Congrats to Colton and Chase! That was a very nice compliment Pozey, you should be proud.

It was me (although, I do think there was someone else interested too). I know I won't make millions, but I have the same feelings as you: earn a little extra, get some discounts, etc. I love planning vacations, so i think it will be perfect.

I agree. I think you are a wonderful dad!

The Ace of Cakes bakery is about an hour away from me. He's fantastic.
