Hi Remyandhollandsmommy!

Dznyfan- Those pics are scary!:rotfl:

April- Yay! I had a dream last week that I couldn't get into the MK because I didn't have a ticket and I was trying to sneak in but kept getting caught!:rotfl2:

Here's a little Irish coffe for anybody who wants a little warm up on this COLD day!

irish_coffee.jpg

Hope you all are having a lovely Sunday!

Thanks for the Irish Coffee, DznyFan!!! It warmed me down to my toes!!
Your ice pictures looked sooo cold!! I hope that ice melts soon!!
A scarf made out of your dog's hair?? Oh, my.:scratchin

steffali:: Your trip is getting pretty close!!! I hope you have terrific weather. I'm already starting to worry about what to pack.:scared:

Nicole:: If you can find a sweater buy it!!! You can save it for next year!!!!:yay:

Angela:: Glad you stopped by to say "Hi"!!! I read your other thread...I don't think anyone forgot about you!!:goodvibes

Michele:: I hoped you enjoyed your lazy day!!! We all deserve one of those every now and then!!

Karen:: Your son's video was really neat and original!! What patience it took for them to do that, wow!!

April::The Owners' Locker looks intriguing!! It's pretty clever of someone to think of doing this. I hope you have good luck with it.
$29 tickets!!! That's unbelievable!!! Way to go!! I'm like Linda, I'd be flying down there at the drop of a hat!!!! well, maybe
Oh...quit having the nighmares. We're all going to be there and meet up...no problem!! Although, it is pretty weird that I had a dream that my DH and I were at the MK to meet all of you and nothing was like it was supposed to be!!! It wasn't the real MK!!! I couldn't find anyone and finally just went back to the hotel!!! It is just a dream!!!

Hope you all are having a lovely Sunday!
Thanks for the Irish Coffe, DznyFan. Takes me back to Ragland Road. Goodness I love that place!! :goodvibes

$29 tickets!!! I'd be there all the time for that!!! I'd fly down just for dinner for $29!!! That is awesome. You're right, sometimes it works in our favor to hold off...sometimes not...Glad it worked out!!
Those lockers are a cool idea. Free trial, way to go!!!
Well, it's $29 down and $29 back. You know how you have to buy each "leg" of the trip even though you put in roundtrip. Then there's all those taxes and fees and Allegiant Air makes you pay for your bags. $4 a bag. But what can I really say when the ticket is $29? My whole total for my tickets was $87.30. But, before they wanted $79 per leg!! That's what really erked  me as you can imagine.

April- Yay! I had a dream last week that I couldn't get into the MK because I didn't have a ticket and I was trying to sneak in but kept getting caught!:rotfl2:
:rotfl: That's hilarious, Nicole. Of course not at the time your dreaming it.

Now, DH thinks it's cool so I guess I'm down with that. At first I was like, "What am I signing up for?" But he just had all of these suggestions of what to put in the locker. Like for example, sometimes we go off property but we don't know our way around Orlando. So, we could get a map and leave that in there. I always bring/buy my own toilet paper just group me with the other toilet paper snobs, ahem Ashley. :lmao: and last time DH was going to throw it away because we couldn't cram one more thing in the suitcase. But leave it to me, I squished it right down flat like a bug. :rotfl2: Then we thought we could leave our travel pack tissues, hair barrets and hair ties. That kind of stuff. And if something should happen and I not get that stuff back then I wouldn't be too terribly upset. But some of their suggestions are Playstations??? :confused3 :scared: Mini-stereos???? :confused3 :scared: I'm not willing to do all that just yet.

And, that's just how my dream was. It was Magic Kingdom in my dream but definately NOT Magic Kingdom. :rotfl:

Lyzziesmom:: Sure hope you're getting your problem fix. I really feel bad about your situation. :sad2:

Hey Remyandhollandsmommy! I remember seeing your screen name. Welcome back to the Dis!

Pozey:: That story about the kids sledding was great! Thanks for taking the time to share! I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Especially when Courtney kept going and going and going and I could picture you chasing after her and she being like a speeding little bullet whizzing down the street. :rotfl2: Oh, and then that part where Colton and Courtney just barely missed the water only to be knocked in would have been perfect for America's Funniest Home Videos. :rotfl:

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I don't envy you guys at all. I'll take my 68-70 degree weather in January. :goodvibes

I'm here, I'm here---

just had a down-in-the-dumps Sunday

now I can't sleep because of some Excedrin migraine I took-----can you say CAFFEINE?????:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

But I'm really tired----too tired to even talk to myself.;) ;) :rolleyes1

why can't the smilies find a permanent home??

catch y'all later.:flower3: :flower3:

Good morning, Crew!!! I hope this week brings better weather for our Oklahoma bunch!!!:sunny: Our power had been of since about 3:45am this morning!! It was like where is this coming from??? It's 40 degrees outside!!! DH called the power company and assured us the power would be back on by 1 pm; fortunately it came back on about 5:45!!! Just in time for breakfast!!!
Won't you come join me? I've got a nice a nice hot breakfast ready and waiting!! I'll even share with April in those 70 degree temps.:goodvibes

Stay warm and safe everyone!

Good morning everyone!

Donna – Thanks for breakfast!! That looks absolutely terrific this morning. :thumbsup2

Well, I drove in to work this morning. It was very slow going, but I made it without any problems. But the roads are not in good shape. Most are still completely covered in ice.

DW and the kids are home. She is off because of the MLK Holiday, and the boys are out of school for the same holiday.

The way the roads are, I fully expect the boys to be out of school tomorrow and possibly the next several days. The temperature here is not supposed to be above freezing until at least Thursday.

Not sure if DW will go back to work for a couple of days either. She works in Muskogee and they were one of the hardest hit towns in Oklahoma as far as ice. They have a lot of tree damage and power outages.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

So Lin is coming home today. :( I can't wait to hear about her trip.

It is a dreary rainy day today, I just want to go home and sleep.

April: That locker sounds like a good idea. I don't know that I'd pay for it, but for free, I'd try it out! I would definitely NOT put anything of real value in there though! I'm with you on the nightmares. Last night mine was that I was at some sort of waterpark, it wasn't officially Disney but it did have a giant Mickey Mouse structrue in the middle that had slides off of it and stuff, but the whole place was really run down and the water wasn't heated... it was freezing cold! But I refused to leave because it was so expensive, I told the kids to just play harder to keep warm. Weird!

pozey: wow it sounds like you guys got a lot more of the ice than we did. We got a bunch, it's been some sort of precipitation constantly since Friday and today we actually have some real snow finally. A lot of churches and schools are closed, beyond the ones that are closed for the holiday, but I am still here at work.

The plumber is coming back today - I really hope they get this fixed. Yesterday the city came and flushed water between the two sewer drains (?) closest to my house with no problem, and deduced that the problem is not there so it must be on my property. RotoRooter thinks it's tree roots. I guess they pulled out a few roots & debris but the snake will often poke through the roots and pull back without pulling them out, so they will try the compressed air today. The only good thing is that RotoRooter has a guarantee - if they don't fix it, they don't charge. And they have a flat fee, not hourly, so hopefully it won't be too bad. I just want to go home! I have to go home this evening, the cable company is supposed to come out because I've been getting horrible reception. They think it is the box, but it can't be because the tv without a box is bad too (the new one). It feels like... what's going to break next??

Last night I also had a dream that I got fired, and my reaction was "Oh good!" Now emotionally, I can understand why I would think that way, but my next reaction in real life would be "Oh crap!"

Lin: welcome home tonight! I can't wait to hear how it went!! (and please do give us a weather report if you will)

lyzziesmom......I really hope you are able to get your plumbing problems resolved soon. It sounds like tree roots might be the problem. I've had people tell me that roots have destroyed their drainage systems.

Hopefully it isn't anything major and you get everything fixed soon.

Thanks pozey. They do seem to think it's tree roots. I'm hoping it's not a big deal to get it fixed. I will keep you all updated on this fascinating story as the news comes in. (cue old-fashioned "breaking news" type music)

Good morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna. I'm glad they got your power restored.

Lizziesmom....I hope they are able to fix your plumbing today!pixiedust:

All these Disney dreams (nightmares) are cracking me up!:lmao: April, what happened to the baby you stowed under the seat?:confused3 :rotfl2:

Karen...That video was very cool!:thumbsup2

2x2...save that energy! No more :yay: ;)

Everyone stuck in the nasty snow and ice, I hope you thaw out soon!:beach:

We didn't get the winter storm they were predicting. Just a bit of snow and it rained last night, so I assume there is a tiny bit of ice under it. Dh called this morning to tell me that he spun around on his way to work and that he was o.k. By the time I took Maddie to school they had cleared the roads so it was not bad at all. On my way to school there was several "Men" out with their snow blowers, however I think a broom would have been sufficient!:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I got my Mickey sweater yesterday!:dance3: I had to go to 2 Walmarts to find it. I was not going to be the outcast!:snooty:

I had a bzz (I'm one of those bzz agents:thumbsup2 ) for a place called Ethel's Chocolate Lounge and the coupons were expiring today. We took the kids there yesterday. The place was not close, about 40 minutes away. It was a cute little place, sort of like the coffee shop on friends with the couches and then they had games to play while you sipped and indulged on your chocolate. They served small chocolates, lattes, hot chocolate, and chocolate fondue. My coupon was for 2 free hot chocolates and I had a few for free chocolates. We decided that we could not afford the $10 lattes  so we all got a hot chocolate, they were $4 each:headache: and we got a small fondue, $15  :headache: :headache: . The chocolates were $1.75 each. :confused3 It was all o.k., but definitely not something we could afford to do again!:rolleyes2 I'll stick with my Starbucks thank you!!

Well the girls have a half day today, so I need to get my stuff done before they get home. Have a great day everyone! Stay warm!

Lesa: that chocolate place sounds neat. What is this bzz of which you speak? Hmmm, seems interesting.

I can't take it anymore... I made an appointment for a haircut over my lunch break. The place I used to go to is out by my old job (a good 20 minutes away) so I had to pick a new place. I went for Beauty Brands, one of those warehouse beauty supply store/salon places. I hope they do a good job! My hair is just so thick and heavy that it's been misbehaving for a while now. I like it long, but it pulls out the curl and just goes blah.

Ice...or rather mostly sleet...a solid sheet! We were one of the lucky ones in Oklahoma because most of ours was sleet so it did not stick to trees and powere lines. We did get enough freezing rain to coat everything in a glaze of ice....just thought I would share some pictures.

ps...Pozey...can you see how fuzzy my pictures are?:sad2:

It is actually very cool being a bzz agent. They send me products to try and all I have to do is bzz (tell people about them) and then you send in reports. They try to match products with your interests. If you are interested pm me and I'll send you the link to sign up.

I really need my hair cut and highlighted before we go. It has been quite a while since I've had a hair cut. :scared: I'd better get going if I want to get it done before we go.
