I have trouble even waiting three months - I think that is the farthest in advance I have EVER booked anything, Disney or not. I tend to travel more on the spur of the moment. Last year when we went to USO/IOA, I booked it two weeks before we left! It's so much fun that way. When I was in college, we used to just get in the car and GO. I miss having that kind of freedom, but I like my budget much better these days.

Well, I'm off to watch Desperate Housewives... see you all later!

see ya Lyzziesmom :) enjoy your show....
guess I better go spend some time w/Mike.... the weekends just go far too fast! We're supposed to get a few inches of snow tonight/tomorrow.GRRR!

hey kiddies---

I needed to just check in and say hi really fast before nodding off. We celebrated my dad's birthday today and my mom made a huge Italian dinner----ravioli w/homemade sauce, meatballs, sa-zi-za, beef spiedini, hot Italian bread and salad. We had Cassata cake----which is sooooo funny, because even though it was my dad's birthday (he wanted chocolate angel food cake)-----my mom insisted on a cassata cake. My poor dad----never has a say.

Anyway, I have an early day tomorrow and wanted to have someone PM me our itinerary, but I see Miss Lyzziesmom was on it!!! Good job, girlfriend!!!!

So ConventionEars (brilliant, btw!!), JUST A WARNING-----as you all know, or maybe not----my treatment schedule was off kilter and they told me completely wrong on the protocol for my condition. I got the schedule straightened out and set, but I will be in the middle of treatments during our trip. So, I will do my best to keep up with everyone, but please don't get offended if suddenly I would want to rest up or meet everyone later. But, I may surprise myself, who knows. Plus, remember, I am still on a pretty good amount of prednisone, so be nice!!:teeth: :teeth: :grouphug:

I'll catch up tomorrow.

Good night!!!

p.s.---Pozey----beautiful picture of your family!!!!!

Nicole, I'm w/ya...2008 trip:banana: wdw... cruise...either...both...:dance3: I can't wait!!! I'll have to ask Mike about excursions still. I think Kenny would love to feed the stingrays at Castaway Cay. They are trained to come up on this ramp where they're in just a few inches of water! Its amazing. I think I'll let him snorkel for the first time too. I tried our last trip, but the water was too cold so he wanted out. I can't blame him. It was cold! well, and I'm a wimp when it comes to being cold ;)

Oh...wouldn't a land and sea trip be so cool! Can you imagine our crew at dinner...they would be kicking us out of the dining room every night! I'm dying to do a disney cruise!

You know, even though I had this trip in my Christmas "stocking" and we told the kids it was a Disney trip(I guess they didn't grasp WDW)...my oldest DS started throwing a little fit the other night. I was going over our dining plans with my DH and DS was like you are going to WDW? No fair... I want to go....oopsie...like you didn't understand it was WDW the first time we talked about it? Well, he really didn't throw a fit but he was really wanting to go. He's my Disney nut!

lyzziesmom...I found some Disney crocs at the AF base store this weekend. I got a pair of black with a red strap. What color did you order? I guess I need to check out Walmart for the sweat shirts? We can dress alike...just call me on my cell and we can cordinate.;) :rotfl:

Nicole...I almost picked a flight that changed planes in Houston.......remember the picture of the lady in the suitcase?:lmao:

Pozey...that was very sweet of you to post a current family photo(and a very lovely family)...I know family shots are scarce. We hadn't had one in a couple of years. Hey I sure hope you have a better week at work...sorry about the unpaid overtime. My DH does get overtime and is salried...but at his old job he did not. It was terrible. He worked 12 hour days during the week and 8 hours on Sat.:sad2:

Hey 2xcited...I might need a break myself! I like to think I'm wonder woman but in reality I'm more like a Lula(big talker).:rotfl2: Hey...nice is my middle name.:rolleyes1

Aww, YM----I feel bad for your DS!!! It's a business convention, remember?? Next time.

:rotfl2: I read this as "I almost picked a FIGHT"----I started thinking, "hmmm, that's unlike her!!" But, then Donna cusses people out on the WDW busses.:lmao: :lmao:
Yeah, Nicole could probably fit into the suitcase if you flew through Houston.

Okay, now I must get to sleep, but all this WDW talk----I'm TOO EXCITED!!! (to sleep):3dglasses :3dglasses

Ok...our Pin-cess needs her sleep!:cloud9: :cloud9:

Golden slumber kiss your eyes,
Smiles await you when you rise.
Sleep,
pretty baby,
Do not cry,
And I'll sing you a lullaby.

Care you know not,
Therefore sleep,
While I o'er you watch do keep.
Sleep,
pretty darling,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.

Good morning, Cliqueless!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. They just go by sooo fast!! How about some pancakes for breakfast, with warm maple syrup!!!

I hope everyone has a :tinker:Magical Monday!!!!:tinker:

Well, I am starting out my week by going to the dentist this afternoon. Whoopee!!

2x2s:: I hope your dad had a nice birthday in spite of the fact that he didn't get the cake he wanted. Poor guy!!! Your mom cracks me up!!! Sounds like she is a fantastic cook!!!:woohoo:
I promise we'll not be offended by your not being able to keep up with everyone. I'm thinking I may want Sunday afternoon to just relax and be my down time; shopping at downtown Disney or checking out some of the other resorts.

YourMajesty:: I hope your DS is Ok with your Disney trip now. I'm pretty sure Nathan has it in his head that we are only going to shop and eat....I wonder where he got that idea??:rolleyes1

Nicole:: If you try to fit into YM's suitcase, take your heels off first; it works much better that way!!:jester:

Well, better run!! See you all this evening!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Lyzziesmom, Emma is a riot! Between her stealing Kenny's fries and wanting wine in a sippy cup, I almost spit tea on the computer.

Your pictures turned out great. I just got my new camera Saturday. There is so much to learn about it; it is must more complicated to the point and shoot Kodak I have.

pozey, it's nice to put faces to names; you have a beautiful family.

I want some Girl Scout cookies. We haven't seen anyone selling them; Mike usually gets a couple of each kind. Has anyone ever had the ice cream?? I think Breyer's makes it; it is SO good!!

So, when do we start planning for 2008??

Have a great day!

mmmmmmmmmmm..........pancakes!! :thumbsup2

Goodness, you were a bunch of busy bees yesterday!

Thanks, Donna, for the pancakes - mmm, good. sorry you get to start the beginning of your week at the dentist. :( Not a good way to spend a Monday.

Pozey - you have such a beautiful family! Courtney is so little in that photo. So your older brother was an underwater welder? What.... does adventure run in your family? So Loretta and Chad are your neighbors after all!
(everybody sing now: "It's a small world after all..") Really I just wanted to get it stuck in your heads.
OH! and work pixiedust:

Michele - some pixiedust: that nothing major is wrong with Briana's car!

2X - you were naming off all that food you had for your dad's bday and I was drooling... YUM.

Later, all! :wave2:

Good morning!

Boy, You miss one day and miss a whole bunch of stuff! So sorry I missed the whole "happy hour" thing! My husbands party was fun and Hey, I didn't have to cook dinner or clean it up ;) Spent yesterday spending my Christmas and birthday money at a local furniture store that's going out of business. Picked up a neat wine buffet table for DH's 40th birthday that is coming up and a side table for my living room and a kitchen island. YEAH!!!!!

Dznyfan-- loved the picture BTW :rotfl:

lyzziesmom-- loved seeing the photo's of your house. I like to see how everyone else has decorated.

Donna-- thanks again for breakfast.

pozey-- Courtney is adorable!!!!

Well we had 90 mile an hour winds around here last night. What is up with this weather? We are supposed to get more snow on Thursday. The ski resorts are loving this!!

Ok-- I wish I was joining you all in February! Sounds like you are going to have a great time!!

Well, I've gotta go take the kiddo to school and then I need to do some actual work. Have a great day!

Oh Donna... those pancakes look heavenly! I've been good and having my SlimFast for breakfast every day for a very long time (like the last couple years) and I am SO looking forward to WDW and having real food for breakfast! I was also thinking of maybe DTD on Sunday afternoon. It's always nice to have at least one day without any plans in place to just do whatever you feel like at the moment.

2x: I totally understand about "keeping up." I am always ambitious with the planning, but in reality I get pooped out. Some days it's nothing but my medication that keeps me going. As for the prednisone... my mom has been on it since I was about 2 years old. I'm used to it. (toothy smilie)

Amber: How do you like your new camera? You'll have to post some pictures soon. I have never heard of Girl Scout ice cream! I absolutely adore ice cream (hence the SlimFast breakfasts), and Breyer's is definitely a favorite. I will have to see if Lyzzie's troop is going to sell any... that is a fundraiser I'd be happy to participate in!

I could definitely tell this morning that the holidays are over and everyone is back from vacation. The highway onramp was backed up - it's never like that! No accidents, just slow going because everyone is back to work. Ugh.

It's so cold here today. I think I saw a news teaser where they mentioned possible flurries later this week. Poor Emma is going to be in Minnesota with my parents tomorrow through Thursday! They are taking my brother to the Mayo Clinic for a new opinion on his knees... I don't remember if I mentioned it but he has some major problems resulting from his chemo a few years back, and underwent several knee surgeries which ended up causing more problems. So, they are taking him to see some specialist who may be able to fix it. Anyway, if all goes well they will be back on Thursday night, but poor little Emma... when I was telling her this morning that tomorrow she will be in the car all day, she said, "Yes, I'm going to Disney World!"

One more funny Emma story: This morning when I was reminding Lyzzie to brush her hair, I said, "You have a nest in there like Emma" (Emma has just about the worst morning hair I have ever seen!) and Emma, who we did not think was paying attention, touched the top of her head and said, "Is this my nest?" Then after I brushed Emma's hair, she touched the top of her head again and said, "Where's my nest?" All morning, she kept asking where her nest went!

I suppose I should get some work done. The big boss will be in tomorrow from HQ and I really need to clean off my desk.

Hi Yolanda! Not having to cook and clean up is always such a lovely treat, isn't it? 90MPH winds - yikes! I noticed that Southwest has been having a ton of Ding fares to Denver... my dad was (half) joking about going there just because the airfare is so cheap right now!

YM: Do Nicole a favor and get yourself a bigger suitcase!
