pozey: Have you started planning yet? I've never been during Christmas either. I'm not sure if I would want to. I'd love to see all the decorations and go to the MVMCP, but I despise crowds. I've gotten so spoiled with going during the off season when everything is practically empty that I would get extremely annoyed with even "regular" crowds. During our Sept. trip with my folks, it was so empty that my dad even said it was a little creepy! We were walking down the Streets of America at MGM and we were the only people on the street. We rode several rides at multiple parks where we were the only ones on the ride. Even on Kali River Rapids, we rode twice in a row without getting off, because there was nobody in line to get on! They asked us if we wanted to go again, but it was time for the parade - which we ran to at the last minute and got in the front row. Someone even invited Lyzzie to join the parade but she was too shy. So long story short (too late for that now I guess!) I don't think I'd like the Christmas crowd level. But it does look like a beautiful time to go. I'm sure you'll have a ton of fun!

Pozey: If you're planning for Christmas try not to go during the traditional christmas break from school time. We just got back few weeks ago and it was super busy. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with you too since we were hoping for cool and got hot instead.

Well at least I have gotten Monday out of the way at school! On Mondays we have 4 SpEd teachers in the building. Today we had NONE. 2 were out for personal days, and the other 2 came in, then went home sick.

Of course everytime we turned around another SpEd kid was being sent out of class and to the office.:confused3

Well we got the news from the mechanic about Briana's car...it's totalled!:scared: He said he looked at it this morning and the engine is gone, naturally after we spent $200 bucks to put a new stereo in the darn thing. Blake said we'll talk later, but I need to decide what to do. We can either spend probably $3000 for an older used car OR we can get a new one for me and pass down my car:idea: I don't know, I was really enjoying no car payments!! I was hoping to keep that going for quite a while longer. I will have to get the ads out. I don't even know what I would want

Hi Jeni, Welcome!!!

Donna, thanks for the pancakes...they were great!!

I took 2 more cell phones away from kids, plus a digital camera. That's 6 phones and 1 camera in 2 days!! Don't worry, they get them back...I put post-its on them and put them on the principals desk. Then if they haven't had them taken away before he gives them back after school. If it becomes a habit, then their parents have to come in for them. They can bring them to school, but they have to be off and in the locker all day. When I brought the principal the last one today, he started laughing and told me to stop noticing things. :rolleyes1 Nope, not gonna happen!!

Pozey: I live in Cape Coral but work in Fort Myers.
Awsome! I spent a lot of time in the Ft. Myers area many years ago.

One of my favorite places to go was Edison's Winter Home. Very neat place.

Edit: I meant to spell BRIANA.... Oh, man......I am so sorry to hear about Briana's car!!

Colton and Chase begin another round of Swim Meets tonight. It will be interesting to see how they do. They've only had 2 practices since getting back from Christmas break.

They are a little bit out of shape, so hopefully some of the other swimmers will also be out of shape.

Also.......I'm not sure what age group Colton will be swimming in. He is only 10, but in practice, the coach has him swimming in the same group as the 13 - 15 year olds. I have told the coach that it is alright with me if he moves Colton up to older age groups if he wants. But I'm not sure if he will or not.

I am going to hop right in here and say--Nope, I'm not part of any clique, but I would like to get to know lots and lots of Disney fans, so I think this is the right place for me!

Hello everyone, I'm Gina! I'm a SAHM, but I do have a part-time job; I'm a newspaper carrier. LOVE the job, HATE the hours.

Hope to see many of you around the boards; I can't wait to swap stories and get lots of info from the DIS pros!

Welcome Gina!!:welcome:

Hi Gina, nice to see you! Hop right on in, this is definitely the right place to get to know some WDW fanatics!!

YAY! Pozey gets to go to WDW this year!!

Oh, Michele - that really stinks about Briana's car!

Pozey- I agree with Dznyfan, try to go the 1st or 2nd week of Dec. I was there in early Dec 2005 and it wasn't too bad.

Michele- That's too bad about Briana' car.

Dznyfan- That picture is just scary!:scared1:  :crazy2: :scared:

Just a gentle reminder of the week between Christmas and New Years.

No thank you, I'd rather stay home.

I haven't been at any time during the Xmas season. I wouldn't think it would be considered "off season"! I personally have no problem taking my kids out of school for WDW. Of course, Emma isn't in school yet & Lyzzie's only in 2nd grade, so that may change eventually. In my opionion, they learn more at WDW than they would at school. Especially at Epcot and AK - those places are educational goldmines!

Early December is wonderful. That photo was taken on December 29 or 30, I think. It was freaking crazy! We had split up with DD and her friend - they stayed to see Lights Motors Action, and DH and I were on our way out. It was about 2:00 - 3:00 in the afternoon. It took us forever to get out of the park (think salmon swimming upstream). But there are so many wonderful things about going during the Holidays (not that week) - the decorations, all the ambient music is different, Candlelight Processional, the storytellers in Epcot, I just LOVE it then!

DznyFan, you're killing me! I can't afford that many trips but you're making me want to go in December now. Hmmm, that AP is starting to sound like a good idea...

Welcome Gina!!

pozey, I went from Thanksgiving to the week after. It was wonderful (well, starting the Sunday after Thanksgiving). The crowds were minimal (remember my pic of Tomorrowland at 10am?) the parks and resorts were beautifully decorated, and MVMCP was awesome! If you can take the kids out of school, it is so worth it. If you don't want to do that, get TGM. He will save your sanity. I am so excited that you get to plan a trip!!

Michelle, I'm sorry about the car.
