Good morning!

Donna-- brekafast looks lovely as usual! Watched the survivor finale last night and I sure wished Ozzy had won, but Yul was my second choice.

2x- :grouphug: I'll be thinking about you today!!! Nothing like a little Depp to make time fly :hourglass

April- welcome home!

Our zoo has what they call zoolights also. Went one year and froze to death. Decided that once was enough! I'm typing with my cat on my lap and he is snoring!!! :rotfl: Really loudly! Silly kitty :teeth: Well, It looks like cold weather is heading east from here so you all should probably be prepared! They are saying that we could get a big snowstorm on Wednesday. I hope we get snowed in! I'm in the mood to be stuck at the house.

Well I'd better go. I have a lot to do for work today and I want to be all caught up before Christmas so that I can enjoy the time off. Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna! :cool1: Yay for saving money on your airfare! I have been having a little bit of trouble with the Dis. I will try to post something and the screen will go blank and have an arrow on it and I'll have to go back and post it again. :confused3

2X- Good luck with your treatments today!

Ashley- That's great you got a GC to the Cheesecake Factory!

Welcome back April!

TSO was really good last night, although we missed the first 30 mins because of the traffic trying to get in the parking garage. And we just happened to be on the very last row! Major nosebleed seats! But we were on the side. We still had a good time.

Have a great day everyone!

Mornin' all! Donna, I saw those waffles and had to say one of Emma's favorite phrases: "Ho' Moly!" I'm stuffed just looking at 'em!

I think I read something a few days back about the DIS switching servers. Of course it was not SUPPOSED to disrupt anything, but perhaps that is why it's been twitchy lately? It's been working ok for me, a few dropped posts but nothing out of the ordinary.

I don't know if our zoo does anything with lights, I'm inclined to think not because I'm sure I would have heard of it if it did. It's too cold again though to go anyway. In FL there was a huge park near my house that a drive-through exhibit of millions of lights, it was pretty neat. I haven't found anything like that around here. Last year on our annual drive around town to look at lights, we wandered into a wealthy part of town and wow, the lights there must have been professionally done because they were so gorgeous! I don't remember where it was though!

When I lived in TX (I think - we moved around a lot when I was a kid) there was a neighborhood where each street would decorate with a different "theme." It was so neat to drive through, there were always lines the last few weeks leading up to Xmas. One street would have candy canes, another snowmen, another nativity scenes, another Santas, etc. Here in KC there is a strange tradition of stringing lights from the tree tops to the ground - they look like lighted telephone wires. Very odd.

2x: We are all thinking of you today!

In case I forgot the other day... April, welcome home!!

Ashley: My mom usually makes me a key lime pie for my birthday instead of a cake. It seems so much more special, since there is NO good key lime pie in Kansas! It's funny, because you even have to go to a specialty grocery store to get the key lime juice.

Amber: your new haircut sounds cute! Good luck with keeping the 'shroom under control. ;)

I'm not a Survivor watcher. We watched The Santa Clause 2 last night on tv. I thought we had seen it before, but it didn't look familiar so I guess we hadn't! Emma fell asleep in my arms about 20 minutes into it - I love when she does that because it's so rare. She's usually not much of a snuggler but lately she likes to watch tv together and it makes those moments just so much more precious. After I put her to bed (in her clothes!) Lyzzie came & snuggled on the couch with me. It was really nice.

Morning cliquers of the cliqueless persuasion......

First off......Welcome Back April!! Can't wait to hear about your trip and see your photos!!

We went to a really cool place yesterday. We drove to Muskogee - town about 30 - 35 miles southeast of where we live - to see some Christmas lights.

Muskogee has a park called Honor Heights Park that in the spring is well known for its Azaleas. But during the Christmas season, they turn it into the Garden of Lights. They put up millions of lights and people just drive through. Takes about 1/2 an hour to drive through. Very pretty. They have a lot of animated type lights and stuff.

And then we went to a place called Christmas Kingdom. This is another drive through place.......but instead of lights, they have over one thousand Christmas inflatables. They range in size from 4 foot to over 20 foot tall. And they have little themed areas. One area is all snowmen, one is all santas, and so on.... It is REALLY very cool. Again, it takes about 1/2 and hour to drive through.

The website is Kingdom of Inflatables if you want to go just check it out. The website and pictures really don't do it justice though.

I agree. I really like Ozzy and thought he deserved to win it. He was much better in the challenges and he wasn't sneaky (well, except for when he wanted to get rid of Billy). I also think the money would have helped him more than Yul. I'm glad he one the car though.

Ya'll are making me want to go see Christmas lights now! Every year Steven and I drive around town looking for some but never really seem to find any good displays. :(

2X - I am SO sorry - that was you who suggested a little trip to OKW in my honor. Forgive me???
The makeup and hair is done by some of the crew kids or they do it themselves - depending on how good they are with makeup.
I really hope your treatment goes well today - hugs and prayers! :grouphug: :grouphug:

2x... lots of pixy dust for your treatments :grouphug: pixiedust: Kenny will be SOOOOOO excited when I show him your post tonight!!! He's been going on and on all weekend about you guys :rotfl2: it was so funny that Donna put started the MASTER KENNY b/c a few weeks ago we got Chinease for dinner and his fortune cookie said he was "the master of all situations" so he was going on and on..."it said I'm the master"!!! then when you guys started this... :lmao: his head swelled right up :rotfl: he was loving it and of coarse Mike loved teasing him telling him he's full of it and tickling him all around the whole house. It was just hilarious! Then on the way to the zoo, radio playing and Kenny's holding his fist like its a microphone pretending he's singing :rotfl2: hysterical!!! Tell those nurses they better take good care of you or Master Kenny will be looking for them ;)

Survivor was crazy, I thought Ozzy had it for sure. He played a cleaner, less political game :confused3 oh well, at least he got a car I guess.

pozey, that link looks awesome! Kenny would love that! He loved the zoo and we have several neighborhoods around us that really go all out. That is fun to drive around and see them. Our fairgrounds puts up a ton of lights to drive through too...

lyzziesmom :grouphug: hope you can get some pain relief soon!! Have you ever tried any pain patches? Mike has some that he says really help. Just an idea :)

yesterday I was determined to find Air Buddies! I went to our other wal-mart and found it :woohoo: took it home and just finished watching right when Survivor came on. Its really cute. the little ones will like it. Tonight is making cupcakes for Kennys Christmas party at school tomorrow.

OH OH OH... Kennys step mom has moved out party: all this talk about those tasty drinks makes me want one to celebrate :teeth: :woohoo: :cheer2:

HI Dznyfan...one of these days we'll have to meet up w/you at OKW for a drink as well ;)

:dance3: :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :bounce: I passed my classes! Woo Hoo!!! I was pretty sure I was going to pass the one class, but the other one I wasn't sure because it was really hard, and no one seemed to understand anything at all. party: :rockband: :jumping1:

Good Monday everyone! Whew, you guys were busy this weekend; I'll try to recap.

My favorite adult drink is a toss up between an amaretto sour (made with Simple Syrup not Sweet and Sour), a Pina Colada with Dark Rum (Disney Cruise Line spoiled me on this one) or Banana Rum, a Dr. Pepper with Coconut Rum or a Strawberry Daiquiri! I love me some Rum!

2x, saying prayers for you!

Lyzziesmom, hope your back starts feeling better. Yippee for getting all your presents wrapped. I know it isn't the same but I love when my puppies want to snuggle with me!

Dznyfan, I had a Turtle Krawl this summer when we stayed at OKW and you are right! They are soooo good! Don't forget, DCL December 2008! Hehehe! Oh, I meant to ask you...does Erin want to be Belle in the show at MGM, parades/shows, or meet and greets? I have the info for the part.

Nicole, yippee for passing your classes! We want the pictures, We want the pictures! Glad you enjoyed the concert!

Pozey, that inflatables guy was on the news here a few weeks ago...his electric bill for the month of December is more than my annual house payment if I remember correctly!

April, welcome back! I'm glad you enjoyed your trip "home"!

Amber, don't forget to take some Christmas music with you! SheDaisy's Christmas CD, Brand New Year, is the best! (It's not country even though they are). The Santa Baby CD from Starbucks is also really, really great! Tell Jeremiah happy birthday from us on Wednesday!

Donna, Chris is like that with food! He won't know what he wants so I give up and then out of the blue he all the sudden wants Arbys or something like that! I have also been having trouble with the Dis, and like Nicole said I his submit and get a blank page with an arrow on it. I've taken to copying all my posts before submitting them! The other day I would type in www.disboards.com and it would come up with an MSN search page that it didn't exist! I almost had a heart attack!

Keagansmom, I would love to be snowed in! I miss that from Minnesota!

Did I get everyone? I hope so! If not I'm sending my love anyway!

I got home from work last night about 9:30 and Chris had gone to Loews and rented a carpet steamer and had already done everything but our living room rug! We have been talking about needing to do it for a month now, I was so happy!

I don't think I will be able to handle Charlottes Web...the preview where her babies go zipping around creeps me out and makes my skin crawl...I'm horribly arachniphobic. But, I am going to go see Night At The Museum! If for nothing else than Dick van **** being in it!

So, I'm confused...my trip is in January and I don't have to pay my balance until I check in. I don't think I've ever paid a balance before check in except last year when we rented DVC points. Am I missing something?

Can I post the QOD today?
What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?!

I love a chocolate cream pie!

:cheer2: :dance3: Congratulations, Nicole!!!

I got cards today from Yolanda, April, Lyzziesmom, Nicole, 2X, Angela and DonnaLeah! Thank You!!! Cute cards, great pics, and some yummy looking recipes! :thumbsup2 Finally got to see a pic of Donna, our breakfast queen!

Lin - I don't think she's really too particular as to where she's like to be Belle, but I'm guessing her first two options would be the MGM show and meet and greets. Not that she'd turn down any opportunity! She meets the height requirements, and more than likely the vocal requirements for any singing part as she has an alto through first soprano range. I'm not 100% sure what her highest note is, but a high C isn't a problem. I think she's going to try to get on at TDS after the first of the year - for know though, she's coaching some kids on auditions for the spring musical. It's a way for her to earn some extra money doing what she loves. We're sending her to OCU's musical theatre camp this summer - three weeks at the school.

Let her know that if she wants to be in the Show she has to be a member or Actors Equity. Belle -- 5'5"-5'8". Lyrical pop theater voice to E.

Which reminds me! My friend Amy is in the final 5 to get the part of Tink! Say a prayer for her!

When my mom was still alive, she would always make me a banana pudding - you know.....the one with Nilla Wafers. I think I was the only one who ever ate any of it, but she made one anyway....

For a dessert that we generally eat only during the holidays.......Pumpkin Pie.

Congrats Nicole on passing all your classes!! party:

Lin: thanks for posting the QOD today! Sometimes it's hard to think of a new one, but you got one I was thinking of!! I have a lot of favorite holiday desserts. One of my absolute favorites has to be divinity. Not the kind with fruit or nuts in it, just fluffy sugary goodness. My grandma sometimes makes it with jello mix for flavor/color, and she will make red (pink actually) and green. It's so cute and tasty! I also really like penuche. If you have never heard of this, it's a maple/brown sugar fudge-type dessert. Delicious. I adore cookies: spritz and iced sugar cookies are among my favorites, along with Russian tea cakes, lemon sandwich cookies, and peanut butter blossoms. I could go on, but I think I'll stop now. I'm making myself hungry.

I can relate about the puppy snuggling! I am more of a cat person, and the last couple years are the first time in my life I have not had kitties at home. I really miss a warm furball snuggling up on my lap while I watch tv, or burrowing under the covers at night. Or as mine used to do... sleeping like a hat.

I don't know why you don't have to pay for your trip until check in. Are you using DVC? Is it room-only or a package?

My dad saw a special running at Lowe's where you buy a gift card & get two tickets to Night at the Museum. So he bought himself a gift card because he shops there all the time, and he will take Lyzzie to the movie! She really has been wanting to see this one. I thought that was really nice, they don't do much together.

Oh, thanks for the Loews tip! I may get Chris one for his stocking.

My Great-Grandma used to make Divinity! Everytime I taste it I think of her. She was such an amazing, loving woman.

It is room only. In fact it is always room only. Thats probably it!

Hi everyone!!

Nicole- congrats on passing your classes!!! :cheer2:

I was kind of annoyed last night because I didn't get to see the last couple minutes of Survivor. My DVR stopped recording since it started late (I remember it doing that last year- and I didn't think to record it for longer. ANNOYING!!!) It's good to see that Ozzie won a car. Mine stopped recording just as Jeff said, "Coming up, we're giving someone a car and we'll find out whats going on with Adam and Candice!" (or whatever that girls name was that Adam was kissing all the time!) :crazy2: (How could they kiss eachother when they are both so dirty!!!)

Jeremiah really wanted Ozzie to win, and I didn't really like him at first because he seemed really arrogant. Then I felt bad when I saw him crying when his real father was in the audience. I really wanted either of them to win, but I wish Sundra was there instead of Becky. That was SO embarassing when they both couldn't start a fire though!!! and I couldn't believe how much weight it looked like Ozzie gained back!

Thanks everyone, I am just so happy I passed!

QOD- Pecan pie.

Lyzziesmom- That's sweet of your dad to take Lyzzie to the movies.

Lin- I will get the pics up soon!
