Lyzziesmom- That is so frustrating!!! :furious: I hope you get everything figured out and find the missing packages.

Ashley- I have never seen Bad Santa. Maybe I'll have to rent it.

One hour left!!! I am so bored here at work and want to go home now!

Ashley - good luck with the Disney crocs!!! I tried to find a pair of black locally for DH, but wound up having to order them. There were on back order until the 18th, but they got them in early, and I received them on Wednesday!!! I think the smaller sizes are on backorder longer.

Music for a road trip... hmmm.... my musical tastes are rather eclectic and varied, but I would bring some Trans Siberian Orchestra (since it's Christmas and all...), some musical soundtracks - Wicked, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Spamalot are all really good NEW ones, some Disney music (of course), Ben Folds Five, Eric Johnson (a guitarist), Sarah Brightman, Barenaked Ladies, Smashmouth, and other Christmas stuff like Brian Setzer and Harry Connick Jr.

Bad Santa - I tried to watch it once, and couldn't get through it. Now I'm no prude by any stretch of the imagination, and I've got a pretty good (albeit odd sometimes) sense of humor... but I just couldn't get there!

Lyzziesmom - Vent away anytime, that's what we're here for... I hope you are able to work out the problem with the package! Happy Hanukkah to Miss Lyzzie.

QOD- I would bring some pop/top 40, all my Disney music, and some rock music.

I have a ipod but don't use it! I used limewire because it is free but then heard that it gives your computer viruses, so I haven't used it again.

Pozey I have a ipod shuffle which I'm hoping to upgrade to a nano at some point and I get all my downloads from itunes. It's run by apple and has great music (including Disney) and has some great free podcasts to download. You can also burn the songs to disc and play them in your CD player. :thumbsup2

lyzziesmom, I'm sorry that Lyzzie's present didn't come. I'm pretty sure that priority mail takes 3-5 days. As for the puzzles, at first it's hard to figure out, but they end up being fun (well, some of them. Others I wanted to throw my computer out the window).

Ashley, I love Bad Santa. I really like Billy Bob (why, I don't know).
I'm not sure what you should download. I took all of our CD's (ranging from Eric Clapton, to The Dead, to Rick Ross). For road trips, I tend to listen to older music, but Mike loves rap (thus, the Rick Ross). I also take my Disney music.

Hi, Crew!!! :wave2: Well, we're back from our Cub Scout meeting. Made a short run to the video store afterward and Nathan rented a PS2 game.
I decided to get $5 gift crtificates from Dairy Queen for the boys. They seemed to be pretty pleased with them!

I did get my Christmas cards mailed out this morning. I received cards from Lin and April! :goodvibes

Amber:: Sorry your Indy order was cancelled. It's good you were able to get the other set instead.

DznyFan:: I feel your pain about DH's Christmas party. Fortunately, now that we have Nathan and live about 98 miles away from DH's work, we usually get out of going to the Christmas parties.

pozey:: 2 Ipod Nanos!!! At least they won't be fight over just one. :rolleyes1

lyzziesmom: I'm so sorry for Lyzzie that her Hanukkah gifts didn't arrive today. Perhaps they will be delivered tomorrow? Tell Lyzzie "Happy Hanukkah". :goodvibes

Ashley:: Good luck on your Croc hunting mission! :thumbsup2
I'm so happy you get to be with your family for Christmas! :goodvibes Is Ruby going with you? What is she going to get from Santa?

I think I'm going to put on my PJ's and watch a movie. I rented A Christmas Carol, but will probably be watching Barnyard. :teeth:

Have a good evening everyone!!!

Thanks! Somebody told me you can buy some music on walmart.com for 88 cents each as well.

I'm back to say goodnight. :cloud9: Nathan wanted to watch Barnyard. I didn't care for the udders on the cows at all, like lyzziesmom said. I solved the dilema by closing my eyes and taking a nap. Nathan seemed to enjoy the movie and wanted to give Gary a recap of the entire movie.

I really want a Cherry Chocolate Hershey Kiss, but I've already brushed my teeth. See.. :teeth:

......ok, guess I'm getting bored. Seems that everyone has gone to bed for the night.

Evening everyone!

Lyzziesmom, I so sorry that the packages haven't arrived! I know how disappointing it can be when your a kid and you don't get stuff. Hopefully it will show up soon and Lyzzie will understand!

Dznyfan, I got your card today! Thanks!!

Ashley, my FAVORITE car music for roadtrips is BareNaked Ladies and Bowling for Soup. Mix that up with soundtracks like Wicked, Beauty and the Beast of Broadway and Rent and you can't go wrong!!

Night everyone!

Mornin' Glories!!!!

It seems as though I've been such an early falling-a-sleeper lately and then I wake up soooo early, too. Darned prednisone!!! Regular sleeping habits are non-existant.

Anyway, being that I am wiiiiiide awake-----here's a bit of breakfast..........

In keeping with the holiday spirit---anyone up for some ginger-spiced pancakes?? Aren't they darling??

GingerbreadPancakeWS01C1219%2Ejpg

and for those Eggs Benedict lovers out there :teeth: ---doesn't this spin on the traditional just look deeeeeeee-vine????

AsparagusPoachedEgg06%2Ejpg

This reminds me of the Grand Floridian Cafe's eggs benedict dish---they serve traditional with a side of asparagus instead of potatoes----very light and yummy. Okay, I'm rambling, sorry.

For those dream decipherers out there-----help---------------I had a dream last night that I kept eating apples. That's all I wanted. I was even eating them in the car. Odd.

I'm going to go catch up----seems as though I'm soooo far behind.

oops, almost forgot (my teacher would be disappointed :teeth: )-----

Have a Sala-gadoola-menchicka-boo-la
Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo Saturday
!!!!!

good morning sunshine aka 2x;) sorry you can't sleep the best. Its been so busy. I was up til 11 last night on the laptop working

Thanks Angela and Lin...we got your cards. Great pix!!

well Kenny is bugging me he wants to type his name so, I'll let him ...

kenny says hi

busy day yet again today...haircuts, chocolates, funeral, then to the zoo....

Have a great day everybody.

wow pozey... Colton and Chase will bo so excited w/their mom's great choices!

DznyFan---I think you commented embarrassingly a long time ago on my niece and nephew's names------yes we are Italian (my dad is full Italian and my mom is full German), and my BIL is 1/2 Italian as well, so they wanted to name the kids something befitting---therefore Isabella, Gianni and Luca came about. You'll laugh at what they wanted to name one of their children ever since high school (they are high school sweethearts)---ready, get set...........Dino. :lmao: My BIL (like my dad) is a huuuuge Ferrari fan, so he wanted to name his first boy after Dino Ferrari. My mom held her breath at every pregnancy......all she thought about were the Flinstones. :teeth: Well, at least he'd already have an Aunt Wilma. :lmao:
Sarah Brightman?? I loove Sarah Brightman!!!! I saw her in concert twice---amazing!! Oh, and Harry Jr.---yumm!!! :teeth:

DznyFan said:
Mr. Robert Austin... hmmm.... now, I know this is a long shot (but I like to think optimistically) but just in case Mr. Austin does happen to take your room at POFQ, perhaps he resembles Mr. Depp, is single, and independently wealthy. (he of course, just likes staying at the POFQ over the GF because of the ambiance and his Louisiana 'roots'.)

:thumbsup2 hmmmmm.......funny......my thoughts exactly!! :teeth:

Lyzziesmom----again, embarrassingly a long time in answering your question about my treatments.... I have to get four of the new treatments----once per week for four weeks. The first one takes 8 hrs., the last three, if I do okay with the first one can be shortened to about 5 hrs. They pre-med with benedryl so I won't be able to go to work after like I do with IVIG treatments. I am doing the first two on my days off, though. The last two I had to take two days off due to the holidays and how my schedule at work falls. I still have to get my IVIG, too. I have to laugh because there is a two week period that looks like this: Tues--IVIG, Thurs--IVIG, Fri---rituxan......the following week....Tues--IVIG, Fri--rituxan. I teased them saying I may as well just spend the night. :teeth:

That is too funny about your Dumbo dream!!!! A dream fastpass, huh??
You know, I can't remember the last time I was on Dumbo. I always felt foolish going on it as an adult without a child. I may have to borrow Emma in Feb.

Why do you keep having dreams about forgetting or something going awry with your camera?? Have you noticed this pattern, ma'am?? Will we have to be the keepers of your camera in Feb?? :teeth:

Are you going to see Charlotte's Web tomorrow?? I still can't decide if I want to see it. I want to, but the spider thing....still creepy, I must agree with ya.

Happy Hanukkah to Lyzzie!!!! Hopefully her eight days of presents will come soon.

Nicole---you had a Disney dream too?? Too funny!!!

This reminds me of my never-live-it-down dream story-------I was pretty young, but I had a dream that I was a detective and my sidekick was a misquito that I carried around in a matchbox. :lmao: This is seriously no joke!! :lmao:

Nicole again-----keep up the good work with the cake decorating. A side business sounds like a good plan. We would love to see some pics of your work.
Have fun at the concert tomorrow!!!! How fun!! I bet they put on a great show.

Angela---your peppermint bark recipe sounds yummy and easy!! I may have to try it----if I have a spare moment.
Sorry about your continuing poop preoccupation. hehe
That is hilarious that Ben liked his new undie-washing chore.

Lesa----your reindeer pretzels sound so cute, but I can't get the link to work. I'll try again later to just log into the Betty Crocker site.
Don't you love Trader Joe's policy??----you can try things before you buy or if you do buy it and don't like it, you can return it.
Irish cream filled chocolates, huh??

Amber---thanks for the link to the treats. I'll check that out too. Oh, where can I buy some time??
Too bad about your Indiana Jones set. This is always such a let down when they don't have what you really want.
At least you have the watch box.
eta---just read about your "bargaining" skills for the box set. Good girl. :thumbsup2

Donna---darn, I thought I could just slip by the prom night thing, but you have too good of a memory, girlie!!!! I ended up not going. It was the Sunday night after my niece's dance party and I was pooped, plus didn't have a thing to wear and my self-esteem wasn't up for it and to be honest with you, just didn't feel like witnessing all the "pretty people" get sloshingly drunk----which they did, btw, I heard. Let's see, what other excuses can I come up with?? :teeth:
I took my niece and nephew to see Barnyard at the theater when it was out and was more than a tad bit "disturbed" by the udder thing. Yikes.

Lin---tell me about Raglan Road---I've never been but keep hearing wonderful things about it.
How did your hair turn out??
The Mickey suite looks awesome!!! My style is more the Cinderella suite, though. I saw this and immediately started to daydream!!!! I wonder if the Prince comes with it??

YM--did you get to watch ELF yet??
How did your Christmas lunch go??
Talk to ya later. :teeth:

Yolanda---sounds like you are having a busy weekend too. Get your stuff done so you can relax!!

Pozey---sounds like Colton and Chase are going to have a great Christmas with their new iPods.
I'm still in the Flinstone era again with my iPod----I just copy from my own CD's I have here. I haven't yet taken the time to figure out how to purchase online. :rolleyes1
You, DznyFan and Lyzziesmom are cracking me up with the SNL skit!!!! I don't know how they keep a straight face either!! :lmao:

Ash---I haven't seen the Disney crocs anywhere. Were you able to find them??
I want to see Wil Smith's movie too. It looks really good and they say he will be up for awards. His son is too darned cute!!!
I have never seen Bad Santa---will have to put that on my list.
Music suggestions, well, let's see-----I have such an eclectic taste in music. I got the new Sarah McLachlan CD "Wintersong" before Thanksgiving and have been playing it to death. It's beautiful!! She is one of my favorites. Her voice is just so haunting. In fact, I bought my sister and my mom each a copy for a stocking stuffer.
My iPod has anything from Disney, classical, soundtracks (movies and Broadway), old Prince (yes, I'm an 80's girl), Damien Rice, Lenny Kravitz, Eva Cassidy, French music, jazz/big band, and I could go on and on.
I used to not like country until I went away to the Aveda Institute years ago. One of my roommates was a girl from Idaho and she used to blast Deana Carter, so the rest of us would sing "Strawberry Wine" at the top of our lungs to tease her. It kind of grew on me.

Where's Linda and Michele!!!!

Hi anyway :wave2: :wave2:

Hi Linda---you snuck in.

Take it easy with your busy day. Funeral?? Did I miss something?? :grouphug: :grouphug:

HI KENNY!!!!!!!!!
:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Okay, all you mommies and daddy in our group---

here's the deal with my nephew Luca---he started throwing up again on Thursday. He got an immunization on Wed. The last time he started with his "illness", he got an immunization shot too, and then started having his little pukey bouts for three weeks after. My sister called the ped. and took him in and they said that the shots usually do not cause a reaction like this, but maybe he could be allergic to the preservatives in them. They can't pinpoint this and want her to take him to a gastrointestinal specialist (which I think is a good idea).

Any thoughts or similar situations with your child/children??

I know people are having such mixed feelings about immunizations now.

Good morning Crew!! :sunny:

2x2s, Thanks a lot for the absolutely yummiest pancakes I have ever had. You must PM me sometime regarding your culinary secrets! :goodvibes

I will go ahead and post April's itinerary and then I will come back to chat.

Saturday 12/16
Segway Tour at Epcot and spend the day touring Epcot
Magic Kingdom in the evening to eat with Winnie-the-Pooh and friends at the Crystal Palace and a 10:00pm viewing of Spectro Magic.
_________________________________________________________________

Alright!!! This morning April and Steven are doing the Segway Tour!!! With the time change would they be finished already???
Hope they are having a great time!!

Good Morning 2xcited, Donna, and Linda.

I think an allergy Dr could skin test an immunization to see if he is allergic. My youngest DS had various problems with immunizations....ear infection, fever, mid hives, and sometimes vomitting. The worst one was Hep A and he did not recieve his second. He also would get hives from yellow #5 (we are pretty sure) along with dairy(he's outgrown all of this). I do agree that the shots can seem to set off the immune system to go "crazy".

ETA...Oh my! I didn't mean to put a cheer smile after the hives... :confused3 :teeth: sometimes this laptop adds whatever it feels like...

Good morning everyone!

I had a great delivery in our mailbox yesterday of some Christmas cards from the crew! Thanks! Brightened my day!

2x-- I'm rather fond of Italians myself, being as I married one. My nieces names are Angelina and Adrianna. :teeth: Of course my son had a celtic name  When I was trying to teach him how to spell our last name he kept saying, "Mom, why is our last name have to be sooooo long :teeth: "

Ashley-- As far as music goes, I like everything but polka. Here are some of my favorites to listen to on long trips-- John Legend, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Switchfoot, ... there's too many to name. BTW-- if you go onto the Apple website you can get a refurbished IPOD for less than half of a new one and they come with a warrenty.

Well, today we have my niece's birthday party :cheer2: . It's fun to buy for her and my other niece since all I have is boys (my DS and DH) in my house. It's supposed to snow later today. Again-- thanks for the Christmas cards and have a great day!

Good morning Gals, and guy!

2x...The ginger spice pancakes were really good! Could you share your recipe, please! I am a bit stuffed from the pancakes so I am going to save the eggs Benedict for lunch! :teeth: It seems like quite the coincidence that Luca would get sick every time just after his shots. I don't always believe when the doctors say such and such doesn't usually cause such and such. Madison we discovered was sensitive to milk. After drinking it, she almost always has monster tantrums after drinking it. I told the doctor about it and asked if there was some way to test for other foods that could cause she may be sensitive to. He said that milk does not usually cause behavior issues. Ummm, I beg to differ! Anyway, I don't always agree what the doctors say, and if I feel that it is that important of an issue, I find another doctor. My girls almost always got feverish after their immunizations, but never really sick. I have heard of other parents complaining that they made their kids sick. :grouphug: For Luca, I hope they find the cause soon! By the way, I may have missed it, but how old is he?

Lin...I got your card yesterday! :cool1: I finished mine last night and they will go in the mail today! :woohoo:

Today is going to be a full day. Visiting Santa and doing some baking!

Have a great day!

thanks YM---I will let my sister know this info.

Hello, Master Kenny!!!!

Linda: Nice to see you this morning! Sorry about having to attend a funeral.
Have a great wekend! Is Kenny getting excited about Santa Claus?

2x2s:: I don't blame you for not going to the "Party". Doesn't sound like a lot of fun anyway......we weren't there!!!! :teeth:
I hope the immunizations are Luca's problem or at least that the gastronlogist finds the problem, poor little guy.
I had to laugh about your Sis and BIL wanting to name their kids Dino. The first person I thought of was Dean Martin!! :rotfl2: Our neighbors hav a son named Tino. The mother's name is Teena and Greek. I guess he was sort of named after her? :confused3 :teeth:

Ashley: For driving music I've always liked somthing you can speed to. Little Feat comes to mind. I like to pick the most upbeat songs of my favorite bands and compile a cd. Matchbox 20, Counting Crows and Eric Clapton are some of my favorites.

BTW, I had a Disney dream last night. It was really weird because I was either at WDW with Gary or my friend from high school, Mary. We were at the MK waiting to meet up with all of you, but the MK was nothing like it is supposed to be. I kept getting lost and got bored!!! :scared1:
We decided to take the bus back to POFQ, but it wasn't really a bus, but a really small tram; almost like a luggage carrier in the airports. There were all sorts of items piled on the tram, but when I went to move some of them so I could sit down a female CM starting yelling her head off that I was tearing up the "bus"!!! She made an aweful scene and finally I got in her face and yelled " I would sit down if you'd clean your f****** bus!!!! :rolleyes1 This is not at all like me to make a scene and especially use the F word (in public anyway) . Any thoughts as to why I dreamed this one?

Have a great Saturday everyone!!
