I know, I know

My mom said something to me a few month ago that you still feel like you're the same person inside even as the outside gets older and looks different. That makes me a bit sad because people tend to treat you differently because you look old. Didn't mean to depress anyone!
I know exactly what you mean. When people ask my age, I still want to blurt out 22, even though that was 10 years ago!! But on the inside I still feel like I'm 16... but I'm twice as old and there's twice as much of me.
I was just at the mall during my lunch break and wow, what a way to feel old. The place was crawling with teenagers who don't even look at me. I remember cruising the mall at that age, and yeah, I didn't look at anyone over about 21. They were OLD, man!!

Even more depressing than that: I went to the
Disney Store and couldn't find a single thing I wanted to buy!! I was hoping to get something for the trip, but I have no idea what the weather will be like so I didn't know whether to buy a tshirt or a sweater, so I got nothing. Oh well, more spending money for the trip! (sorry pozey if we are making you jealous!)
Here's another thing I've noticed lately about the mall, and retail in general. What is it with the horrible service? I got pretzel bites and a smoothie from the pretzel place, thinking it would make a nice lunchtime snack. Not only did they have the nerve to charge me $8.00 for it (it'll be cheaper to get snacks in WDW!) but there were two people behind the counter. They BOTH had to take my order, then BOTH fill the cup with pretzel bites, then BOTH go make the smoothie, then BOTH process the credit card. And no, neither of them was training the other one. And to top it all off, the pretzel bites are stale and wearing some cinnamon from the ones next to them, and the smoothie is not fully mixed!! It's pretty gross, but I'll be darned if I'm going to throw away $8 worth of food.
I've come to the conclusion that no place in Kansas City sells Disney
Crocs in adult sizes. The ONE place where I did find them had only the kid sizes, and they were more $$ than I can get them online. I think I will order some for myself and for Emma.
Anyway... pozey, that's cute & sad about Chase being teary-eyed going back to school. Lyzzie couldn't wait, she has always loved school. I have a feeling Emma will be a different story. She is very much like my brother. His school days consisted of much yelling, "I can't DO it!!" while banging his forehead against the table. This morning Emma burst into big huge crocodile tears, crying, "Oh NOOOOOO!" because she couldn't stab her waffle with her fork.
